I did too much with my right thumb yesterday. OMG! It was bothering me last night, I slept well, but must have moved it in an unacceptable direction just before I woke up. Splint time. Have appt for cortisone shot in Feb. I am not taking NSAIDS, only acetaminophen. Concerned about hearing loss.
Sorry to hear you are having a hard time.

Yesterday was supposed to be a relaxing day for us. We were invited to our son's for the traditional pork roast dinner. I'd bought the roast already and made broccoli casserole and French Apple Cake. At 10:30 we got a phone call from our son saying they were still at the ER... Seems Miles was coughing like crazy the night before so he couldn't sleep and he was having some difficulty breathing so they headed to the ER. Didn't really do anything different for him other than give him a long lasting steroid (lasts 3 days) for the "croupy cough" that only lasted a short time and sent them home. So, we headed over and found the 3 of them on the couch all looking like hell. We sent them to bed and I made the dinner. When Miles woke up due to coughing I took him out in the stroller because that's what the doc said to do. He lied. The cold air didn't help. I'd done a brisk mile with him by the time we got home so at least I got my walk in for the day. By the time we got home at 7:30 we were exhausted.

Miles had a better night last night, but still had coughing fits. Next stop is with GI and Pulmonary docs. Sheesh. I sure hope their next baby due in Feb doesn't have these problems.
I've got Miles and the whole family on my prayer list.

Just a little note want to thank everyone one here for everything you do. Have really enjoyed your stories and sharing your life stories everyone on here are some of the most caring and sharing people I know and some of the most helpful. Each and everyone of you have had a very profound effect on me.
p.s. just know that each and everyone of you are in my heart and prayers everyday
You're welcome. Feel the same about you.

Periodically, living near Old Man River, I get some fog .. it's just the way it is .. but I have to tell you, last night made me think I was living in London .. the condensation on the side truck windows caused me to towel them off when I left the workshop for the day, and then I had to roll them up and down a few times just to see before I got home .. picked up some Fazoli's take out on the way home (yeah, I know, but it's not that bad, at least the sandwiches ;)), settled in to watch a few episodes of "Secrets and Lies" with a glass of box wine and around 11 PM got ready to rack out, this is what the view looked like out my front window .. that's my yard pole light ..

Nice view and you captured it well.

After 2016, anything has got to be better.
Small improvements would be appreciated.

Happy Birthday, Iffy. Party strong and recover fast.

Geez Ginnys favorite brother called last Thursday and thought he had a pinched nerve in his back or neck and was going to see the Chiropacter on Friday.

That night his chest got real tight and he started sweating and they had to call the ambulance and he'd had a massive heart attack.

He had bypass surgery and he felt fine after so he continued smoking and drinking occasionally. I tried to talk him into vaping but he didn't want any part of it.

They had to put some stints in and he just got out of the hospital today. He's only 65 but he wouldn't listen. He's OK for now he didn't say how much damage was done. He said he was able to walk upstairs 5 times. Told him to take it easy.

Damned stubborn Czech's.

OOps @FlamingoTutu I remembered what you said and edited as an after thought but I remembered.

From my Sis ( I ain't takin the blame!)

Skinny Dipping

An elderly man in Florida had owned a
large farm for several years. He had a large pond in the back.

It was properly shaped for swimming, so he fixed it up nice with
picnic tables, horseshoe courts, and some orange, and lime trees.

One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he
hadn't been there for a while, and look it over.

He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit. As he
neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee.

As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping
in his pond.

He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end.

One of the women shouted to him, We're not coming out until you leave!

The old man frowned, I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim
naked or make you get out of the pond naked .

Holding the bucket up he said, I'm here to feed the alligator.

Some old men can still think fast.

Well I don't get my new feet till Friday the 13th. The prosthetist has never set these kind of feet up and doesn't know how the phone app works so a representative of the company that makes them is going to be there to get them right and show me how to adjust them with my phone.
