Well I don't get my new feet till Friday the 13th. The prosthetist has never set these kind of feet up and doesn't know how the phone app works so a representative of the company that makes them is going to be there to get them right and show me how to adjust them with my phone.
Oh, he's never worked on these and you get them on Friday the 13th. Swell. Just Swell

But at least Mercury won't be retrograde :)

Having the factory rep there to train both sounds like a good thing, to me.

From my Sis ( I ain't takin the blame!)

Skinny Dipping

An elderly man in Florida had owned a
large farm for several years. He had a large pond in the back.

It was properly shaped for swimming, so he fixed it up nice with
picnic tables, horseshoe courts, and some orange, and lime trees.

One evening the old farmer decided to go down to the pond, as he
hadn't been there for a while, and look it over.

He grabbed a five-gallon bucket to bring back some fruit. As he
neared the pond, he heard voices shouting and laughing with glee.

As he came closer, he saw it was a bunch of young women skinny-dipping
in his pond.

He made the women aware of his presence and they all went to the deep end.

One of the women shouted to him, We're not coming out until you leave!

The old man frowned, I didn't come down here to watch you ladies swim
naked or make you get out of the pond naked .

Holding the bucket up he said, I'm here to feed the alligator.

Some old men can still think fast.

Been lurking. So here goes..

Janet and Mike, hope Miles feels better soon!

2legs, hope your new feet work well. I tend to agree with David, the rep there to teach you will probably be a good thing. Will he be available after your training?

Oh gosh, it's late, I forgot...

The rep is there to train, as in, Legs will figure out how to use the software, and that's how the rep will get trained.

Well that seems like a blessing. Having the rep come out will mean much better fine tuning for you! I've been lurking around your posts, I sure do wish you success in the first round of trial. I'm sure it has been frustrating having your visit postponed so many times. But this might really work out for the best for you! Prayers and positive thought for you.

Yesterday was supposed to be a relaxing day for us. We were invited to our son's for the traditional pork roast dinner. I'd bought the roast already and made broccoli casserole and French Apple Cake. At 10:30 we got a phone call from our son saying they were still at the ER... Seems Miles was coughing like crazy the night before so he couldn't sleep and he was having some difficulty breathing so they headed to the ER. Didn't really do anything different for him other than give him a long lasting steroid (lasts 3 days) for the "croupy cough" that only lasted a short time and sent them home. So, we headed over and found the 3 of them on the couch all looking like hell. We sent them to bed and I made the dinner. When Miles woke up due to coughing I took him out in the stroller because that's what the doc said to do. He lied. The cold air didn't help. I'd done a brisk mile with him by the time we got home so at least I got my walk in for the day. By the time we got home at 7:30 we were exhausted.

Miles had a better night last night, but still had coughing fits. Next stop is with GI and Pulmonary docs. Sheesh. I sure hope their next baby due in Feb doesn't have these problems.
Ah, that poor lil guy has sure been through the wringer for his tender age......so hoping he outgrows all of this!

I'm with you. In winter it should at least get cold once in a while! Unfortunately that ain't the case here and with what might be global warming I don't see it getting better. But, you never know.
One of the reasons I like living in NE Florida is the definite change of seasons.......we get temps in the 30s and makes it feel a bit more like home. Glad I didn't get rid of my winter garb, cause I've used it each winter since we've been here.

Thanks UW and everyone else sending prayers for Miles. Poor little dude is on more meds than me and Janet combined. Can't be good when a 2 year old is already taking steroids and the rest of those meds. Sure wishing, hoping and prayers the doc's get him under control and better yet he grows out of his asthma, allergies, and susceptability getting sick.
Sweet baby boy has had his share.

Periodically, living near Old Man River, I get some fog .. it's just the way it is .. but I have to tell you, last night made me think I was living in London .. the condensation on the side truck windows caused me to towel them off when I left the workshop for the day, and then I had to roll them up and down a few times just to see before I got home .. picked up some Fazoli's take out on the way home (yeah, I know, but it's not that bad, at least the sandwiches ;)), settled in to watch a few episodes of "Secrets and Lies" with a glass of box wine and around 11 PM got ready to rack out, this is what the view looked like out my front window .. that's my yard pole light ..

Loving that picture! Has an eerie yet fascinating effect!

With a bit of filter fiddling, that would make an awesome desktop wallpaper.
Good seeing you here, Retired

Ugh! I hate thieves!! Never worried about dealing with Amazon before.

It looks like an eye. You've definitely got an eye for composition in this and other photos you've shown. Hey, did you ever do anything with the pictures of eyes?

Maybe I'm a little more paranoid than others....or maybe overly cautious because I can't afford even a small loss, but....Amazon Prime may not always be the cheapest price, but worth paying a bit more and not taking a chance on 3rd party dealers......same with Walmart....if it's not coming directly from Walmart....nope, won't trust other dealers selling in their marketplace.

Sorry to read about the ill ones in your family....hope that beautiful little guy is better. You know that I'm sending my most positive thoughts, vibes....in your family's direction...

That's a beautiful picture, Willie. You are a good photographer!

Akchooley it'z great da way it iz!

Nice view and you captured it well.

I looked up "backhanded compliment" and this is what I found.

I think so too.

It looks like an eye. You've definitely got an eye for composition in this and other photos you've shown. Hey, did you ever do anything with the pictures of eyes?

Yes, I continue to work with the idea .. it's a giant eye whose pixels are composed of the single eye pics which will magically expand each single pic as you mouse over .. it's fairly intense and time consuming but I'll finish it eventually .. problem is, it's going to take about 10K pics to do it right .. I have also been doing some painting using the eye pics .. here is a small example ::

eye_watercolor_12_2016_1.jpg

Thank you so much .. I've told this in the past, but I'll bore everyone and tell it again :: When I was young, I never needed anyone .. Oh, stop, wrong story .. ;) .. I started taking photos using a Brownie 127 .. after entering the Military and being sent to Vietnam, during an R&R in Tokyo, I bought my first 35mm and an extra lens, a Pentax .. which was my constant companion for many years .. I bought into the Digital Age with a Dycam in the early 1990's .. when I was in High School, we had a black and white photo darkroom, and since then, I had longed for my own darkroom .. never had the space or I guess, the drive to actually build one .. enter the Digital Age and viola .. my wish was granted as the PC became the darkroom .. interestingly enough, this avenue was also how I came to know Graham Nash and company, you'll find a little known factoid on him being his involvement with Nash Editions since I think around 1990 ::

Welcome to Nash Editions | Nash Editions

I believe photography is time travel .. I continue to be fascinated by the hobby, although I don't have near the physical mobility I used to have as it relates to getting out and about .. :)

With a bit of filter fiddling, that would make an awesome desktop wallpaper.

Got the full sized file handy?

Why yes .. although, the last person that attempted to manipulate my stuff I castrated .. kidding, of course, or am I .. ?? The original image is too large to upload to ECF, however, I am happy to edit it to 1080 size 16:9 with little compression and deliver that digitally through upload to my Google drive or whatever ..

Whatever is easiest for you. I'll PM my email address which should allow you to just email the raw file without editing. :)

Me too. Get them setup right the first time saving me going downtown when they aren't right. It's up to a whopping 5F wind chill -12F.
