Moved from Front Porch OT conversation.

I'm so happy you got some relief! I'm getting started on my back issues. Got an rx for the anxiety day to day to keep me ok for routine things thst come upn & keeping the serax for nights h actual panic attacks. Scheduling MRI for next month for my back. Some of it is bone spursn but there is a narrowing between vertebrae in the spot that hurts.

My sister went to the Dr with me. Then had to go home & take Sara Pup to tje vet. They had to let her go & send her on her way. The cancer was progressing quickly & she wasn't eating.

My Mom's little sister passed this evening at 7:30. All the cousins stayed on Messenger with our cousins as their Mom began her journey yesterday. There are 13 of us h some one was on there with them the whole time. We were all there when she passed. It was an online waiting room full of nieces & nephews that loved her.

In other news, I also got my flue shot.

This has been a hard day on our family.
Thanks hun, and I wish you the best with getting good relief for your back. So very sorry to hear about Sarah and your Aunt, but glad neither one are ill anymore. So great y'all were able to be together online. (((((((((Kenna))))))))) all my love and prayers to you and your family!

Just reporting in as being safe, well inland in NC. A significant but not ridiculous amount of rain during the past 36 hours, preventing quad copter flying. Flash flood warnings in this area, current winds 15 mph. I haven't gone anywhere since Thursday afternoon so I don't know what it's like on the local roads but I don't think there are any road closures.

Winds expected to be 28 mph by 10 pm tonight.

@Kenna, I'm so sorry, sweet pea! You and your family have been in the eye of your own hurricane. Wishing you peace.

@Iffy, I'm not in coastal SC, but our second (retirement) home is. Latest reports are 12" of rain, no power, trees down across the island, and flooding. It's still raining, there, and storm surges are expected, later today. We are grateful to have got out before the storm, and are blessed to have a primary home to go to. Sadly, for many people, that will not have been the case.

Back to the FP I go ...

That was sleeping in for me. It was fter 7 my time when I got up. Why would you expect me to be sleeping much later than that, I'm usually up much earlier, even on weekends.

one of the biggest shockers was the huge amt of salt in tap water! You can get a report on yours. We had to buy bottled water 5 gal bottles with dispenser (and be careful many of those also have a lot of salt) to make coffee, cooking etc plus drinking it.

For those trying to stay away from canned veggies, try frozen. To me they taste soooooooooo much better and much less salt.
If you do your research - they claim that frozen veggies are better than fresh. Frozen veggies are allowed to ripen further than what is sold in the stores as fresh. Frozen veggies are frozen within a few hours of picking. Fresh veggies are picked early so that they can still look fresh when you buy them in the store and in some cases - fresh veggies are sprayed to keep them fresh longer - do not know what they spray them with...
Ya'll have me convinced. Will be looking much more seriously at frozen veggies!

just figgered ya might be tuckered out. :)

thanks hun. Jup definitely look at frozen veggies. Some folks don't like em cuz they're different if they are used to eating canned, but they are basically fresh veggies. Carrots aren't the greatest frozen, but they are getting better.

Been relaxing since 5 last night. Prior to that, kind of stressed from some crazy traffic I was driving through though. Hwy 35 was completely backed up, total standstill for awhile, south of Waco yesterday afternoon.
