I am SOOO tired of the snow and COLD this winter The forecast for next week isn't making me feel any better. I know we got spoiled the last few winters with minimal snow and little extreme cold, but I LIKED being spoiled Ok, now that I've ranted I'll go back to getting ready for our trip to Florida. It can't come soon enough for me !

Anyone have objections for me to start >55 Gen III threads? For this side (Lounge) I'd call it da "Seniors' Back Porch". For da GD side, "Seniors' Front Porch".

I'll try to provide da historic links to capture our 'blood, sweat, tears and joys' we've shared for quite a while!

I would prefer Tex to be 'point' in this effort, but not sure if he is up it. If anyone else would like to take lead, PLEASE go fer it!

Just need some feedback pronto!

JMHO...I don't think it would hurt The Tumbleweeds feelings if someone else posted the new thread since this time we aren't being shut down... just continuing on in a new thread. I do think the new thread name should still distinguish itself as to being for older folks though. I think the names you have come up with do just that. As I stated. Just my humble opinion.

I had been notified regarding the other thread and asked if I could have MikeE3 take over as OP and they haven't got back to me yet . They did say they would work with us and put a link to the older thread that was leaving the name as is but any changes in the name might bring in a little more confusion right now. I had been planning on asking one of you to take over as OP being as it is getting harder to keep up and thought this would be a good time. If you want to change names or start a completely new thread is of course is your decision. I'm just glad to have been a part of great long running thread and I'm hoping it will continue on after I'm gone.

Doesn't matter who starts it or what you name it. I don't care if it is a front porch... or a back porch... (personally I would like a wrap around porch), just as long as "everybody" stays together and continues to welcome and help all that are lucky enough to find this wonderful place. Just my . ya'll.

Iffy, you are too funny! Did you make up those lyrics? They're great! And I saw Gloria sing this last night too so that was fresh in my head - there's NO WAY you'd want to see a vid of me singing it!!

If I haven't said so before Tx, I'm so glad you started this thread. It has helped me and so many others so much. Just look at the number of posts! - so many that the mods want to make sure we keep it up. And it's opened doors of friendship and shown me that there still are a lot of friendly, helpful people all over this great country. I've SO appreciated your humor, help and generosity. You're a good man. Vaping is still in it's infancy and look at all the changes in such a short time! I wouldn't know about half of them without the threads you've started here. So thank you so very much. My prayers will always be with you no matter where you are!
