I'm not showing mine off, but I do just love the second looks I get driving! :w00t:I've snuck hits at the Dr.'s office, the pharamacist's and I puff all day at work(only a couple people know). I would never vape at Wallmart, Target etc.... Never had the need for a cig before while shopping, don't need to vape either. But seeing how I'm always in the dressing room.......:D

I told my doctor that I was getting one, so I can't wait to show him when I go back in a couple of weeks. He's cool (He's only a year younger than me!) so I'm sure that he will let me give him a demonstration when I get into the exam room with him.

I don't mind vaping in public... but sometimes i do it discreetly just to avoid having to spend 20 minutes talking to someone about it! I need a business card i can just hand them and walk away when i'm feeling anti social

I don't mind explaining it, but do sometimes carry slips with me that explain what it is and the link to this site.

Yes, we shouldn't EVER be not willing to talk about it, especially now. I mean if you are in a super hurry and have to be at work, pick up your kids, are going to the emergency room, etc etc- then alright. But I think that we need to inform as many people about this as possible since there are still a lot of people out there that don't know, or all that they have heard is the negative stuff on tv.

I've already converted one friend, and have informed my mom about the whole thing, when my mom thought that they were so bad and so dangerous.

I always cover up my janty stick with two hands when in public and try to exhale as little vapor as possible.

Last week when i was out on a terrace having lunch, i was vaping discreetly and my son saw a young boy who had noticed me.
He tried over and over again to hold both hands to his mouth to see if he could perform the same trick.
He could not figure out why smoke was coming from my mouth and not his.
Also i think he was puzzled because it was not cold outside. Je just could not figure out where the condensation was coming from.

Anyway, we had such a laugh...memorable moments.:D

Well, let's not be TOO discreet about it, in my opinion. If it looks like you are hiding something, it could make someone think that it is a drug device. I'm sure that probably people already think that, but if you go out of your way to hide it, could make them think that even more.

I don't really give a crap what they think. If they are interested and ask or if its a cute asian girl looking at me with googly eyes then i'll explain what the deal is happily. I was at a casino recently and the dealer asked me about it and i explained. Then the guy sitting next to me got angry and mumbled some nasty things under his breath about it being the same thing and calling me names. And the dealer told him to .... before i got around to doing something stupid. I laughed my ... off as did the rest of the table and the guy left. But the cig itself was received well by the rest of the people. I told them about these forums. So if any of you are out there from Vegas on that Pai Gow table with me WELCOME!!!! hehe

Well yes, but you never know when you are going to offend an "important person". Someone from the media, someone that holds a political office, etc etc.

Should have educated that man instead of getting a fuss stirred, imo.

Had my firsr encounter of employee questioning me yesterday at WalMart. Went well.

I don't generally flaunt vaping. The other day though, I was at WM, shopping for school supplies. I generally am discreet about vaping, but I forgot mysel and was vaping openly. An associate approached me and asked if that was one of the new ecigs she had heard about. I said, "Yes". She asked a few questionss, obviously interested in this, and I referred her to this forum. She then stated that a coworker had told her, "I think that woman is smoking!" She told me that she sid she didn't think so, but she would check me out. After hearing me out, she let me go on my way!

I'm glad that I was able to point one (obvious) smoker to this forum!

For the most part, wherever I've vaped, which is outside of work and such, if there's someone around, I will tell them what I'm doing and show it to them. It always gets interest, questions like "Is it working for you?" I have to tell them honestly that it has cut my cigarettes down considerably, but I'm still smoking a few here and there (probably more if I really wanted to be honest with myself). People seem generally interested. I've not done it indoors at any businesses, because that's just not my style. Hell, even when we could smoke indoors in Illinois a few years ago I most always went outside.

I work as an EMT, I usually work at night so im pretty sleuth already, I usually cover up the LED when passing other cars, Its so nice vaping on the ambulance (not when patients on board of course)some days we are running back to back calls all day and I used to have to wait for some down time to smoke a cigarette, and believe me, there are times after a call when you really need a cigarette! None of my partners mind at all which is good. Some of the old timers give me a hard time but they are tolerant, "damn hipsters with their MTV and microwave ovens!"

I bust it out in the hospital, infront of the ER, at the store, all the time actually, I do try to keep it semi hidden though. I've done it standing right next to people in an asle that dont notice. Its not that I am ashamed, I just know that people dont understand what it is to be addicted to nicotine, and smoking is so unattractive these days. That and I hate having to explain it 20 times a day. I cant vape around people smoking though, I cant stand the smell! lol

when im at the bar, the beach, outdoor resturaunts and such, I vape away. It helps having a unit like the 510 that is obviously not a real cigarette.

As my job is repairing computers, I visit a lot of different companies and customer houses...

All was admiring it and wanted to know more, except in two cases. Both women. Both blonde... No wonder about the jokes around blondes... They both insisted that it harms like cigarette since it looks like cigarette. They both rushed to open windows, even no smoke smell existed!!! LOL

Now that I used modded e-cig, I get even more questions about it!!! From NON-smokers!!!!
