Yup. But beware; too much vitamin D will build up and cause you other kinds of problems, so don't go crazy with the supplements. 1000-2000 IU/day is appropriate, whereas 5000 IU per day is probably excessive, at least over an extended period.

Of course the best way to get it is naturally, i.e. some sunshine every day now that the sun is high enough in the sky to make that happen. Winters at higher latitudes can make that almost impossible, especially for people with darker skin. My wife and I have been down here in FL since mid-January. We generally go for a 45-60 minute walk out in the sunshine every day, which I believe obviates the need for vitamin D supplements.
I've been on 5,000-8000 a day for years and doing well. Get your levels checked occasionally. Closer to 100 ng/ml levels give the best protection.
Walking in the sun is GREAT!!! Rock it, Rossum!:)

Vitamin D production after UVB exposure depends on baseline vitamin D and total cholesterol but not on skin pigmentation.

Yup I have heard that and I also started getting better when I spiked a 104 something temp on my trip to Tucson.

With that said, I think I am done with feverish thank you. I took the minimal amount of Tylenol I could and then I pretty much got rid of it mostly entirely because it wasn't even helping. I still had a fever for over 3 weeks straight, although I did not end up in the ER so perhaps my uh, sparingish use of Tylenol was beneficial.

I will say Advil plunged me RIGHT into the abyss. I was better for two days, and then sick as a dog after.

Then I took this oddly named stuff I never take called Aspirin. It was AWSOME, my semi perm headache went away, again and my fever was gone. I did an hour and a half of yoga.

So IDK middle path in all things.

I want more but my fever is back. It will have to wait.

I like, don't UNDERSTAND like this whole "fever reducing medicine causing worsening fevers bit." I mean, it's better than the Advil slightly. I give up. I don't think you can psychosomatically induce a fever surely? Maybe you can. Either way, I am going to bed shortly and my back HURTS terribly but I'm pretty sure it was more the husband telling me I was "listing" on the couch and I kind of was. I removed the pillows and it seemed to help but perhaps it was "Too Much, Too Fast."

I want that on my grave stone somewhere man. Like, perhaps right at the top above everything else.

Nope got sicker now I had another thing yesterday and got a Z pack which is half the French tx. I am getting an X-ray tomorrow from my PCP. We'll see. I am hoping to get the malaria part of the drug out of him if able. We'll see.

I feel better than yesterday and the woman (ER doc) was like "OH, you have COVID. She gave me an explanation of why tests are negative that made sense, for the first time But she was like,
""You have it." I explained my geolocation and why I did not want to go to the ER but promised to see my PCP and go to an ER in another city which like, she was like, "You are doing a good job self monitoring so okay." I had to explain they did not have the proper PPE and I did not want to make Douglas my final resting place. She was like, "Okay but get it checked out in there."

It does seem sensible someone should examine the inside of my lungs, perhaps not the dope PCP, but I felt so much better this am I felt kind a dumb driving to SV to say, "I felt I was dying yesterday," so meh.

    We'll see.

X-ray is not very informative for the viral pneumonia, if there's a possibility, get the computer tomography.
As for the hydroxychloroquine drug, it is Not recommended for covid patients anymore. There was a big research published from France/Spain I believe and it shows that chloroquine is not helping and around 30% of patients are getting side effects on eyes and heart.

IDK masks are fine if used correctly. Being given one mask a day and told to shove it in your daily paper bag was not so cool. Every time I pulled it out I was like, "This can't be good." I mean we were handing all our PATIENTS the paper masks so we ran low quick.

I don't think my COVID 19 experience is oh so unusual, but man IDK. It's just irritating. I still feel better but again have a slight fever. That's good to know about the other drug, because I am fairly sure my PCP won't know it. IDK. I'll have to see what he wants me to do, which my hope remains, NOT checking into the ER. That would blow.

But yes, I will bring my wee suitcase and whatever. I am.... I am not sure there is a major fix for this. I mean you really only should bring out the big guns for like, you know, death's door. There I have been times I have wished for death's door because I'm just so sick of it.

With that said my immune system and the stupid COVID are continuing to battle it out. I bet if I had not been ANEMIC (Grr for the first time in my life and do to doctor error) I probably would be better by now.

At the start, I was reading about "being sick for 6 weeks and I was like, "NO WAY." Heh.

Now I think, "Only two weeks to go maybe, sweet!"

as far as masks in public places, i understand a simple bandana will
stop me from infecting other people.
i wear a bandana for sand storms so it's no big deal.
of course, if i walk into someplace with my gun on my hip n face covered with a bandana, i might get some interesting reactions.

i absolutely don't believe we should rely on herd immunity until we can get that from a vaccine.
i'm high risk, so i'm scared.

Yeah... no. I did not. I tried to do that Arizona Blitz test thing I would have driven to Tucson because honestly, I don't believe my job MIGHT not have dipped my nose swabs in bleach. The last thing they would've wanted was a COVID 19 employee. But when I did the screening test for it they told me I was "Too sick to get tested" and I needed to consult my freaking health care provider, which is hard to do like, anywhere these days. I'm pretty sure my PCP (this is ALSO telemed by the way which sucks) will tell me to go get a chest X-ray, or like go to the ER. In which case I am calling around I refuse to go to any hospital that does not have Resvimidir or whatever it's called on hand. My stupid o2 sats lower now and fever higher. Also the husband just called and his car broke down and it will be at LEAST 1800 bucks (his drive train broke, and it may have just like uh, messed up the transmission.

I just want to crawl in a hole and die, frankly. I thought I was getting better. In a bit here, I may try to get it together and at least vavcuum up the dead bugs, maybe more. I mean.... Feeling like crud and doing something has to be better than doing nothing.

    Sigh.

Although I hear some horrible human being who I have on ignore is stating increasingly vile things about me, including that I am lying about my heath status, 3 docs have all said variants of this:

The problems with COVID-19 testing. (And it’s not what you think).

They think it may have caused pneumonia or whatnot hence the Chest X-ray sometime soon.

    So yeah, there's that.
