Back in May I got rid of all my original 18650, 18350, and 14500 batteries which were between 5 and 6 years old. They all still held a charge, not for as long they did years ago, but still doing ok. They all had the lower amperage which wasn't usually a problem for what I vape at but I did have to pay attention to which I was using with different atty's so it was time to clean out the old stuff. :)

I think I've averaged one battery per year that I've gotten rid of because for some reason I questioned if it was still safe to use. Most recently I got rid of an 18650 because I left my Reo in the car while shopping and it was EXTREMELY hot when I got back to the car  Ya, I know, my stupid for leaving it in the car  My theory about batteries has always been- When in doubt, throw it out ! ;) I did get rid of a few batteries through the years because of torn wrappers. Now that I have wraps I just rewrap them and keep on using them :)

Currently have six 18650's in rotation and three 18350's in rotation. :)
I know more than a few vapers that throw out ALL of their batteries at the 1 year mark. Kinda like replacing the batteries in your smoke detectors. Good idea if you only have 3-4 batteries, I guess.

I just watch mine closely. I have around 10x18490, 6x18350 and 10x18650 and rotate them religiously and use them all equally. Except 2x25R's that are married and only used in my Snow Wolf (my only dual battery mod).

Hello my lovely vape family,
I'm going to be taking a break from ecf due to family issues. Hopefully I will be able to pop in and check on things. If anything major happens can someone post to my pm box?
Thank you!
Hope all is ok at the home front.

I am so proud. I haven't placed any orders for two days. :thumb:

EXCUSES EXCUSES...
My only excuse is, no "real" orders for vape gear until I have $750+ to play with. Not that I plan to order $750 in one crack either. Maybe by the middle of Sept.

PAPERWORK...
I don't like the paperwork, it's a nuisance but I have to do it to keep track of what I own. I cannot keep up ordering a little here and there, b/c it takes too long to update lists that I keep track of everything with. This gives me time to do research, watch YouTube videos, mull over purchases, and see what everyone else is recommending.

APARTMENT AND HOMEOWNER INSURANCE...
Also... for those of you with apartments, do you have rental insurance for your FDA Deeming stock? For $10 to $15/month on top of my State Farm Auto Insurance I got $10k in rental insurance. I'm buying all this stuff for the next 10+ years and of course I had things in my apartment I wanted protected and picked up the insurance last month. I'll be taking pictures of everything that I own...then photos, recipts, and inventory lists will be uploaded to the cloud just in case.

I think those of us who have stocked up, whether it took 6 months or three years are the wiser. Surely raw nicotine base at 100mg/ml and open systems are DOA. I don't care abt the money. I never had any to begin with and I'm spending it on needs for the next 5 to 10yrs.

Ok, unless something goes on sale for an outstanding, can't pass up price, I truly am done stocking up. I ordered the fade P3 (told myself it is an early bday present). In fact, I will sell a few things soon.

I am over halfway done with the organization/cleaning/storing process. Soon, I can reclaim my dining room.

If some thing goes on sale at a price I can't pass up. Most of my stash was bought at clearance anyway.

Organizing is some much easier when you only have 1 rebuildable and 2 mods.

I never catch up enough to post a response to anything! So, forgive me if this is already way outdated stuff.

I used to not worry too much about mechs. I do check my builds to make sure they're ok and don't build too low. But, I've recently gotten a couple of RBAs that sometimes change resistance suddenly after a day or two. That's got me nervous. So, now I've stocked up on Vape Fuses.
Most of us changed our gear and flavors but some will not do so plus they want simple so the pods and those types will remain popular. I helped a co-worker get set up with what was the best at the time, a 510 kit with menthol juice. I could never get her to try anything else except finally got her to move up to the mega 510 batts, lol. She has been with that same setup for over 5 years.
I still use 280mah 510 batteries with either 510 cartos or 306 atties. True, not very often anymore. But, I still like them. They're fun. I must have about 30 of them. Lots of different colors!
I'm all set. Short of a tornado or fire...I should be good to go for awhile anyway. :)
...and yes, I have contemplated moving some things to the basement in a fire safe. :D
Where we live, a tornado wouldn't be too uncommon.
The most likely natural disaster here would be fire. Of course, it wouldn't really be all that natural since I don't live near a forest. But, we all live near electricity and other humans. So it could happen.

I keep my nic split between my freezer and my brother's freezer already. (Although it's mainly because I kept buying nic past the point of necessity.)

It has occurred to me that storing things so that they're easy to grab and get out the door might be a good idea, especially for my most precious and necessary stuff.
Might not be stocked but with good care and 4L of nic to bart... Crap bear just ran off with my outside cooler and all my nic. Brb chasing him.
    I love it!

I seem to have lost a quote. Didn't someone here say they wanted to sell a couple of Kayfun clones in the Classies?

You can sell clones in the Classies. Just not replicas/knockoffs. As long as the clone doesn't look exactly like the original (no logos), then it's ok.

some people use iphone you know?
I'm well aware. I use one too but @Tommy-Chi specifically asked for the Android app.
If you want to use SE on your iPhone you'll have to use the web as there's no app for that!
If you must have an app, Google iVape for ios.

Dancing H, that was me about the clones. I have the Ehpro so I will have to look for logos, I don't think so.

About those vape fuses, I got some but haven't used them yet. Are they ok for any mech that has room on top of the battery? I am worried about pushing up the 510 pin or something. How can I tell without doing damage to the pin? I am sure this is a dumb question, I am very visual so hard to conceptualize this without seeing it. I bet there is a vid for that. lol

@rosesense Sorry, I don't know that much about the Vape Safe fuses. I've only used one so far, on a mech that needed the extra height to make contact. I have a fair collection of mechs, just don't hardly ever use them anymore. And, back when I did use mechs more, I was oblivious to the dangers.

Got my last used Provari cleaned and tested them so they are ready for storage :) Dry packs on the way.

I took some time looking at the POD mods but nothing really tripped my trigger. I may wait to test them when they are the only approved mod on the market LOL Or if something is really cheap! Went to Mystic to look at their pod and the code said I had to buy $68 before it would work so that turned me off !

You pick two kits and then use the code so one is free. There is also a code on the home page to use to get a free (or for 1.00, can't remember) cigalike kit with refillable cartridge.

Whether you like the other thread or not, this would be better posted in the an online age verification thread I believe.

Nah, I didn't say I didn't like the other thread. The other thread is just fine and dandy.
The OP in that thread is a wonderful person and so are the folks partaking in the thread.
Moreover if you check you'll note that I did post in that thread directing folks to the post I posted here.

However since I feel at home in this thread and I was reading this thread when I received the e mail
from Vapejoose I posted about it in this thread...See, what I did say is that I like this thread better which isn't the same as saying that I dislike the other thread...
No harm done, harmful would have been if I hadn't shared the info at all.
But I do appreciate your opinion..

As far as batteries go, I rotate through 6 18650s. (Samsung 25Rs) I alternate between a Pico and a VTC Mini throughout the day, so I have 2 batteries in use each day. I do have 3 older 10 amp batteries. I use those in my flashlight.

Two of my SS 25Rs are 19 months old now. They are doing fine, but I am going to go ahead and order replacements for them. Two will be a year old in October and the final two in December.

I'm probably going to order LG HG2s and SS 30Qs next.

I finally ordered some more silica packs. They will be here Friday. :)

how do you know when its nearing 3.6v?--i keep thinking about my recent and future road trips,,i would have to pull over to check voltage... that wont work
    Kross, don't worry about it.
When your battery gets low you won't hit as much and then you won't hit at all.
No big deal and you won't kill your battery if it happens now and then.
Always carry a spare battery and mod with tank or atty loaded with juice
in case you blow a coil or expend a battery.

    Never drip and drive..LOL.
