I know more than a few vapers that throw out ALL of their batteries at the 1 year mark. Kinda like replacing the batteries in your smoke detectors. Good idea if you only have 3-4 batteries, I guess.Back in May I got rid of all my original 18650, 18350, and 14500 batteries which were between 5 and 6 years old. They all still held a charge, not for as long they did years ago, but still doing ok. They all had the lower amperage which wasn't usually a problem for what I vape at but I did have to pay attention to which I was using with different atty's so it was time to clean out the old stuff.
I think I've averaged one battery per year that I've gotten rid of because for some reason I questioned if it was still safe to use. Most recently I got rid of an 18650 because I left my Reo in the car while shopping and it was EXTREMELY hot when I got back to the carYa, I know, my stupid for leaving it in the car
My theory about batteries has always been- When in doubt, throw it out !
I did get rid of a few batteries through the years because of torn wrappers. Now that I have wraps I just rewrap them and keep on using them

Currently have six 18650's in rotation and three 18350's in rotation.![]()
I just watch mine closely. I have around 10x18490, 6x18350 and 10x18650 and rotate them religiously and use them all equally. Except 2x25R's that are married and only used in my Snow Wolf (my only dual battery mod).
