I know with tobacco sales in AZ (buying online is illegal) the cc's report sales directly to the state.

Well, in PA it's simple: If you're the "importer" (even as a consumer), then the price you paid is considered the "wholesale" price, and you get to pay 40% of that. Whether CA or other states are going to handle it in a similar manner, I do not know. You may be right, I hadn't heard that. So everything I buy out of state, I have to keep track of so I can pay the tax at the end of the year, right? But if I'm not charged the tax by the vendor, how do I know what the wholesale price would be?
I just finished up some almost 3 year old VG and PG that was kept on the tile floor in the pantry.
It was fine and not "soured".
If your VG should go South (or if you are just not wanting to use it)...you can always add your favorite Essential Oil and some distilled water and make a great skin softener.
Chels - tobacco product sales are against ebay and amazon guidelines
My sister lives in Oregon. She used to order her smokes online. She did it for lots of years. One day she received a sales tax bill. It was several hundred dollars. Fortunately they allowed her to make payments on it. The tax man will find a way![]()
I just heard about it a week ago.
Ah, another doTerra user.......LOVE them........Now THAT'S my kind of DIY! I'm always looking for interesting ways to utilize my doTERRA Essential Oils, and making household stuff is fabulous.
I've probably written this before but may be it's worth writing again. Let's say I'm in PA and decide to buy my 10-20 year stockpile all in one go and pay the tax. So 5 liters of 100 mg nic, 10 mods andd 10 atomizers total cost $650 + $260 tax = $910. The $260 is a trivial amount over the 10-20 years I expect the supplies to last.Well, in PA it's simple: If you're the "importer" (even as a consumer), then the price you paid is considered the "wholesale" price, and you get to pay 40% of that. From where, Two_B? Do you by chance have a link to this?
True. But understand for some of us, it's the principle of the thing. They got more than enough in "sin taxes" from me when I was smoking. They will not get one red cent in such taxes from me for vaping.I've probably written this before but may be it's worth writing again. What killed a lot of shops was the 40% floor tax on their entire inventory. Yes, for the shops that mix their own, the ongoing 40% on the cost of ingredients is no big deal. The question is, how long will they be able to continue mixing their own? The FDA cometh...If shops mix their own then the tax is only on the cost of raw materials which is so trivial it's like no tax at all. My DIY is 1.2 cents per ml. What's the tax on that? lol
Then I'm gonna be rich.Buy some nic and put it in the freezer. It's sort of like buying gold for $35 an ounce. Actually that's exactly what it is.

Make way for gas tax, mileage tax and extra tolling.

Yeah, I know -- don't get me started. Most of my driving is between PA and FL and I've learned to fuel up in VA and SC.Make way for gas tax, mileage tax and extra tolling.

Some interesting comments about VG, from (assumably) non-vapers on Amazonia:
Amazon.com: Questions And Answers: How long does glycerin keep? Is there an expiration date? Thanks!
Funnily enuf, DPL and I were just discussing this, and comparing notes on just how much we had to pay in taxes for online cig purchases (years ago). Between us, we enriched the states some $$$$.00!

I agree with you. The PA tax is about as well motivated as the Indiana tax.True. But understand for some of us, it's the principle of the thing. They got more than enough in "sin taxes" from me when I was smoking. They will not get one red cent in such taxes from me for vaping.
