To me stockpiling is like buying that future funeral burial policy. Hope you never actually need it but kinda think you might.
Did you clean your connections really good before putting it away? I've got a container filled with all my old mods I'm not using (3 to 6 yrs old) and when I checked them a month ago all the connections were still just fine. I've always made a point to make sure I've cleaned really good any mods I'm not planning to use in the near future.
Figuring it can't hurt anything, I have recently been adding those dry packets to my stash packages but I'm not doing any shrink wrapping of anything.
Me too. I put back some mods and attys that have never been fired just so I can have a vape mail day occasionally in the future.
We could form vapemail clubs. Everyone would send 2 packages a month to the top names on the rotation. Random bags of kanthal and juice and tanks. All done with delivery tracking so we could follow the packages online and get mad when stuff was delayed.

Once I get my existing orders delivered, I am done buying online. I don't care if my stockpile was unnecessary; I don't have to think about it anymore.
I did learn a valuable lesson yesterday when my $200 DNA device that is only three weeks old had a button get stuck: Even the "nicer" mods are not impervious to damage and breaking. Of course I've kept a hoard of mods and stuff since I started vaping anyway so I've always had backups. But I'm glad I'm not just going to rely on one or two DNA mods...even though I know people who can build their own box mods, I don't want to be reliant on anyone but myself to Vape. And what if the company I can send my DNA back to for warranty maintenance goes out of business? What would it be then? A paperweight with a degrading Lipo battery inside of it.

No I didn't clean them after use but did give it an alcohol wash not too long before, but used it then stored it. It is the old version that you could alcohol wash, they say don't do that with new versions. I need to spend some time on cleaning it up. I also checked a new Provari i just got and it has a tiny dark spot on connection so need to clean that off too.
To each their own when it comes to stocking up or not. For me stocking up is a good idea both from a piece of mind and financial standpoint. I don't want to worry about continued vaping in the years to come or pay a government inflicted premium price to do so.
Here in Cal. in November we will be voting to raise the taxes on cigs by $2.00 a pack, and I'm betting it will pass. Ol man Brown signed a bill making ecigs the same as cigs, so then it will start. I'm getting whatever I need now from "vape" shops or any vendor that's vape related. After the taxes hit, Batteries I'll get from electronic shops, wire from Temco, ect, ect.
It just makes sense from a financial standpoint, taxes are coming like it or not from both the state and federal levels, doubling, tripling or more the price of eliquid alone if not all vape gear since it is all a tobacco product after 8/8/16. Why should I put more money in the pocket of government to do something that ultimately will save the government billions in healthcare cost.
Yes the taxing worry is very real, not going to go there, I want everything in place before 8-8, I don't feel we have 2 yrs of wiggle room like we do now.

IMO, once bulk NIC is outlawed or taxed heavily and premade juice is hard to obtain or also heavily taxed, Craigslist and eBay might be full of cheap vaping hardware.
No point owning fancy tanks and mods if juice is unavailable or super expensive.
NIC is the most I portant thing to stock up on IMO.
I was planning on buying my PG/VG next month with a couple more flavors. Think I'm going to add more nic. as well.
The most important thing to stock up on is EVERYTHING that you use to vape. Only having part of the components will not be useful.
Well, there is one difference. Sooner or later, you're guaranteed to need that burial. At least with vaping, it will be later instead of sooner.
Keeping things stored properly (cold for your nic, cool and dry for your electronic stuff) is important. Also, how you use your daily mods can make a difference. I have several, and I have one that's my go to for out and about, which is my Plato. Nice size, holds ~4 ml, more than enough for a day, the glass tank is internal, so far less likely to break with handling or even slipping out of your hand (within reason, not a flight of stairs), and doesn't even really look like a mod, so it's a good stealth mod. The others are my at home or at work mods, where a little more tlc is possible than in the big cold/hot/wet world. But that's just me.
PG and VG will always be widely available regardless of what regulations kick in, just like wire from Temco or cotton/rayon. It's the nic that could become the potential issue in the future, so spending money on that to stash in the freezer makes the most sense.
