I am up to 9 singles battery mods in reserve on top of 2 single battery and 2 internal which I will keep using until they fail. 3 more on the way.
Learned DIY some time back and learning coil building.
2 Ares, 2 Kanger top mini rba with 2 siren 2 on the way.
Will keep adding as I can afford.
Probably have the rest of the year, would not make any bets beyond that.

Just got the boulder and the 50mg nic salts......
Boulder is not bad for under $10 the nic salts on the other hand,
Very strong and gave me indigestion. I’m wondering if it will be too strong for my husband?

Did you try the nic salts at the 50mg...or did you use a small amount and reduce it to maybe 24 or 36, that your hubby might be able to start with?

What was your smoking like compared to your husband's? He said your setups were too weak, right, what nicotine strength do you use?

I would use the information from those two things to determine whether you want him to ease into it where you gently ease into like, slowly upping his nic until it feels "right."

Or, you can give him a "wow this is blowing the roof off my mouth" experience right off the bat, and, this is key, if you think HE would like it.

My main regret was looking at my smoking amount vs my husband's and starting TOO LOW. Probably. It took a long time before he would allow me to give him nic salts to add to his juices, because he smokes DIFFERENTLY from me, I was more of a steady, all the time smoker (3 ppd, not a TON of room left over for breathing, actually) and he smokes far less but I think that meant the tobacco had a different impact on him.

If I could go back and do it over again, I would have gotten him a Juul. Come to think it may not be too late, at least YET, LOL.

Maybe take a small portion of the 50mg and dilute it down to 30 or 35mg?

I personally find 30mg salts plenty strong in a minifit. Much more nicotine than I'm getting from my 3mg DTL or 12mg MTL setups.

Some folks evidently get on great with 45-50mg. When I was vaping 30mg salts daily via a pod, after a few days I had a massive tolerance compared to what I usually vaped. Was easily consuming another 60mg nic/day. At that point, I probably could have upped it higher, but I don't see the point in chasing a nic buzz. For somebody transitioning to vaping though, 45-50mg might really help. You can always PG/VG it down some.

BTW, I'm really liking the menthol and appreciate the help you gave me with it. :) I don't use menthol daily, but it's nice for switching out the unflavored every once in a while.

I've never had a DNA device go bad yet, but I don't use them every day either. I figure I've got about a dozen mods with 75C and 250C chips in them. I'm not planning on getting into modding, but figured it might not be a bad idea to have at least one 75C, 250C and replacement screen around in case something goes wrong. Could just do a board or screen swap and be up and running again.

Not like I'm going to run out of devices before I die, but it would be nice to be able to repair a few of my DNA devices if I have a board issue.

Anybody else bought or considering picking up replacement DNA boards/screens for the FDA stockpile? Maybe I'm just looking to buy more stuff I don't really need. I probably will pick up another 2-3 toppers and I think I'm done.

Absolutely score69. Like I don't think you can buy DNA200 boards anymore. But luckily you can still get DNA250 boards and those fit right in where the DNA200 was. But someday, those won't be available either. So I believe I should get them now (and maybe you too) before they are gone.

Sounds good, I'll put a 75C, 250C, and a spare screen or two on the shopping list.

I've been checking on firmware updates for devices too and downloading/installing them. Figure those kinds of files may be hard to come across later on too. Not sure if Escribe only can update firmware via online or not, so I've just been trying to keep my DNA mods up to date. Figure if Escribe can only check/update when it gets data from the Evolve website, then that may go away at some point too. Is there a way to install/update DNA firmware from a file? I'm not all that familiar with Escribe. I figure it will work for other features even if it can't get to the Evolve server, but not sure if firmware updates will be able to be loaded.

I'm also going to take a weekend and DL a bunch of YouTube videos/build tutorials for some of the toppers in my collection. If I go a long time without using a specific one, will be nice to have a video to reference.

If for whatever reason a firmware tans eScribe are unavailable on a US server, Evolv has international versions as well. So long as Evolv stats in business getting updates shouldn't be a problem. You can already download the International version to bring Replay to a 75C.

Thank you, makes me feel a little better about that. I am running the international version (to get Replay on the 75c), so I'll keep on with that.

Will order a few boards at the end of the month once the credit card cycle closes. It's been a brutal month, lol.

Be patient, it's only a matter of time.

I'm sure you meant to write "at least one spare board and screen for each mod", right?

FWIW, if anyone is desperate for DNA30 or 40 boards, I have some. I got tired of replacing them and went back to mechs. :)

all he did was try it once today. I’ll see how he does tomorrow.

lefty...maybe your hubby is not quite "ready" to be a vaper yet...

I LOVED smoking cigarettes...had NO interest in giving them up...and bought an e-cig starter kit ONLY to use in restaurants, etc...

When I filled it with juice and took a couple puffs...I just put it next to my beloved pack of smokes...

I was COMPLETELY surprised to find that every time after that...when I've wanted to inhale/exhale some "smoke" and get a hit of nicotine...I've picked up my e-cig...

So...maybe I was "ready"...maybe he's not...yet...

IDK ready or not, however you quit, well, the more you vape the more likely it is you will quit... Sometime. Etc. So, there's also never a bad time. The husband has been vaping a lot more lately and we are heading toward AZ's version of cold... so lukewarm but also like torrential rains and no one likes smoking in that. No one sane anyway.

It's such a revelation.. When you discover that there are SOOOoooo many more flavors out there (for now)... Other than the single flavor of - ummmm - smoke.

And speaking of that, flavors are really important to the process of quiting smoking. To disassociate that nicotine away from your cigarette smoking rituals. That's something that should be mentioned more often.
