Work is good to me. I started work from home July of last year
Having worked from home exclusively for the 10 years between 1997 and 2007, and off-and-on since then, and always having the ability to work from home if I wanted to, there's one problem with it: You never really leave work.

It might be worse for me than for others. I have a mean slave-driver for a boss.

I own the business that I work for, so the slave-driving boss is me. I honestly don't remember the last time I took a whole day off and didn't spend at least a few hours working. But it does have its compensations.

Until my complete retirement in January of '15 [which lasted all the way through to April of '15] there was one week each year when I worked less than 55 - 60 hours per week. I, too, found myself as both master and slave.

Since the thread has been hi-jacked to cooking and work week, in which I have participated, I have to ask if anyone likes an air fryer. It seems like it could make Mrs CMD's life a little easier. Comments cheerfully accepted.
IMHO just another appliance to take up space but Ive never tried it.

My BIL's family uses their air fryer a lot. My DW sounds like she may be interested in one (wasn't interested in an instant pot). I'll check with her again - we have finite counter space and she gets that a lot of kitchen appliances picked up over the last handful of years has never been used.

Waiting on flavors from BCF, a Brunhilde MTL, some Elevate orings, 12 packs of gt ccell 2 from Vaprzon (40% off and free shipping since it just topped $50[emoji106]), and a little cats-and-dogs order from FT. If I'm up at 6:30 tomorrow I'll try for a 99 cent Ammit MTL RDA, just for fun.

Miserable weather in CNY, scheduled to last through tomorrow. A decent chunk of snow already, and sleet for about an hour to add a nice slick surface on the road. (It's below freezing at ground level). Getting ready to light the first fire of the season in our wood stove in the great room.

I was talking to my son about insta pots, he uses his a lot. My problem with getting one is I want Chewbacca and he's $119 Yikes LOL Star Wars™ Instant Pot® Duo™ 8-Qt. Pressure Cooker, Chewbacca™

Ah - Maybe on Cyber Monday it will go down in price - just keep checking every now & then . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Im holding out - for now, . . . we don't do big cooking any more..

Oh MY - Although I use to cook all the time and have all the major equipment to prove it too . . . However, being that I am 1 person . . . All I use anymore is the Toaster/Convection/Turbo Oven for almost everything now and maybe one Saute pan (12") & small Pot . . . Although, most of time - since it is less expensive, I do go out to eat (Senior Specials) and still get a "Doggie-bag" to bring back . . . Plus, I DON'T Have To Clean-up either . . . .

I was thinking about a convection microwave oven type thing

Go For It . . . However do consider the "Air Fryers", I have a Toaster/Convection/Turbo Oven that has all that, just wish I didn't purchase that one 2 months ago . . . Especially since, I just purchased an "Air Fryer" the other day - which has all that and is going to replace that one . . . Just Sayin' . . . ;)

Look into a Breville! They are fantastic and it is all we use now.
That Breville is a contender for sure-thanks!

AGREED - Really like all "Breville" Products - wish I had them - just too expensive for "My" Pockets . . .

I’ve been looking at this one....Breville Smart Oven Air Review
Replace both the toaster oven and the air fryer.

 Nice

If Only . . .

I rarely use my crock pot so all these other appliances would just take up space. I’m also a simple old school cook and my son is a picky eater so I’m limited any way. However, I couldn’t live without my convection toaster oven.

If only I could work from home! And the no-extra-pay nights and weekends I worked this last year for a huge project do not count. My life would be so much better. No driving, no coworkers, no dressing up daily, no distractions. What a dream!

I got my Christmas tree finished and my Mom’s. Decorating is finally over. That took entirely too long this year.

I’m not hearing much buzz over cyber Monday. It seems a lot of the vendors just extended BF to include CM.

Ummm...not necessarily, IMO. :) It depends on when someone started their career, at what age (or after how many years of employment) they're eligible for retirement from that career, and how financially ready they are to retire.

AH - And there are those of "Us" that have no other choice too . . . Just Sayin' . . .

Somewhere out there
I need to see if there are any deals for CM I can't pass up. Maybe drop in coils. I did pick another Apollo kit so could use more Berserker coils. I like the Berserker MTL kit for out and about too. I am passing on pods even tho some are dirt cheap and sticking with these little kits instead. I like them better than pods.

Much like the instant pot incidence, I was less than happy to see Himself come through the door with an air fryer. We have an ancient deep fryer that works and never gets used. Plusses for the air fryer.... convenience, speed and no oil use. Does it eat up counter space? Yes. Is it as handy as the instant pot? No, unless you make fried food or bake french fries, etc often. I like it, it does a good job of replicating deep fried food, but we don’t eat much fried type food, so it doesn’t get used often.

We may need a What's Cooking after May 11 thread LOL! Hubby is asking for brownies, so need to make some sweet Potato brownies :) I can't eat white flour or sugar so I have to be creative LOL
Have you tried making them with cannellini beans and almond flour? I use monk fruit to sweeten, but anything could be subbed. Himself likes the texture better than other non traditional versions I’ve tried

Luxitic squonker bottles fit the pico perfectly. This where I got spare bottle for picos:
$7.38 Authentic Wismec Replacement Squonk Bottle for LUXOTIC BF Box Mod (3-Pack) 3-pack - 6.8ml / silicone at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Edit (based on your edit): Seems like you got them cheaper lol
The Squeeze 2 bottles have a slightly offset hole and the Luxotic BF bottles don't but you're right - I just checked and the Luxotic bottle does fit the Squeeze 2 . Great info thanks!

Thanks, exactly what I was looking for, what you say makes sense. Off the list.

We use my instant pot often. I make loads of boiled eggs and they peel so easily, its the best. I have been contemplating an air fryer but hmmmm
I do too, especially since it’s just the two of us. It’s very convenient. I probably would have gotten more use out of the air fryer if we still had a house full teenagers. It makes killer tater tots
