I know this is vapocalypse prepping. We're prepping for a vaping apocalypse. I keep getting these flashes of a post-apocalyptic wasteland (thank you Bethesda :p) combined with a running man/1984 cityscape.

Ten years ago, the vaping environment was totally laid back. It was like drifting through a revelation. Most vapers I met were very chill, optimistic, and joyful people. Innovation in products bloomed forth like the flower from a little flower bud. I never seriously thought vaping would become the huge social issue that it currently is, back then.

I suppose it was only a matter of time until we got to this state of humbugfuc*ery that we are experiencing. I didn't see it happening then, but accurate foresight is a rare thing. I considered some of the potential circumstances that might happen, but the odds (in my mind) were low things would end up the way they are now.

Vaping (great thing that it is) got more interest socially because of it's merits and more smokers switched over to vaping. Because of this it became more socially acceptable to vape nicotine instead of smoking tobacco. This was a great win on the tobacco harm reduction front.

The war started between the new and the old forms of nicotine consumption began and here we all are, years later, in the middle of this hurricane, hunkering down and waiting out the storm.

This storm will end though, no storm lasts forever. Try to prepare the best way you can, and stay strong. It'll take some time until the storm passes, but it will pass.

In the 20's I think that we will see more change in vaping laws than we expect. How that will happen, and what form that change will take, I don't know. If time has taught me anything it's that I cannot predict the future with a high degree of accuracy.

I can however hope for the future, and try to make my vision of it a reality. I guess that's all any of us can do. Vape on y'all.

Happy New Years folk.

At that price, it's a waste of time make your own.

Disagree. I can get 4 pounds of silica for the price of 300 grams. If you don't like to use coffee filters, you could put it in a plastic container with holes punched in the top.

I'm thinking the same thing, except if I'm selling on the secondary market, I'd rather test it before I send it out to make sure it works. And will sell as "opened and tested". This shouldn't affect demand for it in a scenario where it's illegal to buy decent stuff.

So I plan on keeping most of my mods wrapped in their cellophane but I plan on opening them to test them IF I sell them, before I sell them.

Some mods are shipped with silica beads bags, some aren't, but I think keeping them in their cellophane may be a good choice. Even if 20% of all my mods are DOA, not only did I still get a good deal, but it also wouldn't change how prepared I am in terms of hardware.
You're absolutely right about that whole open and tested thing because I have bought a couple used items with more confidence than I bought certain new items because I know they're past warranty or I know the company doesn't have a good warranty and someone who has a good rating on a forum classified says that this item worked last week. Now if you add a purchasing ban from retail outlets to that mix and you add an item that's maybe five years old I'm really going to want somebody to tell me hey that works. Maybe I have a little bit too much faith in people but while I have purchased a lot more from the stores than I have used from a person the used from a person stuff has 100% still working rating while two out of my initial five first mods arrived and broke relatively soon after. I bought a Kanger box 160 and that baby is I don't even know how old and it's working like a charm :)

If anybody is still looking for a TFV8 compatible tank that includes a single coil RBA section, the Advken Dominator in SS is on sale at Vapesourcing for $7.99 with the coupon code ADOT, probably for a limited time. About $10 each with shipping. Although Vapesourcing shipping has been sluggish at times my last order arrived in about two weeks.

For those of you waiting on Eightvape orders. They are based out Nevada correct? Our lovely state just instituted a 30% vape tax. They could have jumped on the bandwagon like nwvapes and quickly moved over the holiday. I too am waiting for my final order from them.
We had all wondered before if that was part of the reason for some of their outstanding clearance prices... some items for a buck, for a penny, and even free items.

Understood, but I was taking time into consideration. If you live in America, your time is worth a bare minimum of $0.12 per minute.

What does that work out to in terms of hourly pay or monthly pay? Cause I am certain my disability pays me less than that.

I have lots of time, but little money!

Also full disclosure I am a big fan of DIY. I make lots of things other people buy!

Great deal for a tank that comes with an RBA section. I picked up a couple for the stash, thanks.

I just had my order from 12/26 delivered, but my order placed on 12/24 is still unfulfilled, too.
You too? Hmmm. I was thinking that maybe since I bought a truckload of coils in that order along with other stuff that maybe they are waiting on their warehouse to ship over the coils to add to my order. Sounded good when I said it real fast.

Could be...IDK. Be ready for a slightly hefty-weight package though, when they do deliver yours. The order I just got contained 134 boxes of various coils (some pretty weighty ones)...and it weighed a little more than 12 pounds. Of course, I don't know how light or heavy those Atlantis coils are in comparison. If they're lightweight, like boxes of Evod coils...your package shouldn't be too heavy.
