I quit coffee going on two years ago. Best thing I ever did. Well, besides quitting smoking. I no longer have the mid morning jitters and I sleep like a baby. I was having issues with sleep. My thoughts would go all over the place. Lack of focus. Weird since I was a lifelong coffee drinker seemingly with no issues. I’m now all into herbal caffeine free teas. I was at a Christmas party at work and they didn’t have water so I drank a small glass of iced tea. Man could I feel the caffeine. Didn’t like it. I love my water and drink a gallon a day and have for years. If I don’t drink my water I feel awful.

We need to ban coffee and shut down these coffee shops!!! Those flavors are only there so they can get kids hooked on caffeine!!! Adults only like Black coffee!!! Once you reach 21 flavor no longer matters, everyone knows that!!! And for the Black Coffee we need to impose a tax that makes it difficult for teens to afford!!! Plus no drinking coffee in outdoor public places or indoors.

I've been on vanilla lattes going on probably 10 years now, they're easier on the heartburn than regular coffee. I had a latte machine for a few years and it saved me a bunch of money but I can't really get another right now because I don't have room in the kitchen so Starbucks it is. Just finished one. Then I drink a red bull in the afternoon, which is another rather terrible habit I picked up pretty recently.

Dad's funny. Regular Folgers coffee drinker for his entire life. When I was home this summer I bought him lattes at the Starbucks because he would drive me there in the morning. After making fun of me for going there for all those years he started going on weekends. Then more often. He quickly gave up and bought a latte machine after he found out that the one I left there was broken. He doesn't even drink regular coffee anymore, but he has 4 lattes a day.

I also quit all forms of alcohol in 2016. Top three of the best things I’ve ever done. I also gave up all forms of sugar not too long ago but that one proves more difficult to maintain and I failed at that one. These things I’ve changed about myself were life changing. :) I so wanted to quit vaping but that only lasted two weeks. One day maybe...

For a mellow (lower acid) coffee switch to cold brew. Use around 5 fluid ounces of coarse grind coffee with a quart of water, cover and let it sit for 12 hours on the countertop, then strain it. It'll store in the refrigerator for a couple weeks.

Microwave a cup with about 3/4 cold brew, the rest water.

A breakfast blend is a decent thing to use for this.

I should get around to roasting some coffee today. Dreary weather, and since it's Lunar New Year DW wants to have a mellow day at home.

I'm definitely enjoying the new eliquid I mixed yesterday [emoji106]

Sugar is tough to give up but I gave it up too. (I use honey instead) I can't drink because of the inflammatory response. But didn't drink much anyway because it puts me to sleep LOL

I was one of those weirdos who truly got a rush from looking at new eliquids to buy. I spent at least as much on juice as I did gear for the first few years I vaped. Working at a vape shop meant a ton of my paycheck went right back into the store, but I did a lot of hunting anytime I was near another shop, looking for that newest and better flavor. I miss it.

But now that I know pretty surely what I like and don’t, I DIY. Of course I still have plenty of premade juices stashed in the freezer and rotate them in with my DIY. I am going to have a heck of a time learning how to DIY a tobacco I like - recently I was sold a flavor called “Chocco Bacco” (obviously a chocolate tobacco) and it is INCREDIBLY good. I bought six bottles for the freezer. WA is going to institute a ban on even flavored tobacco (when the bill inevitably passes) - the bill clarified that any discernible flavors such as cookie, vanilla, CHOCOLATE, peanut butter in the tobacco will be illegal. I couldn’t even tell you what type of DIY tobacco I would need to start with to add my own chocolate or other flavor to it. But that’s what this board is for, and I will at least try.

As for beverages - I’m good for MAYBE a cup of coffee three times a week. I suffer from really horrible constant anxiety and caffeine is my nemesis. I do drink decaf on occasion. Mainly I’m a recent devotee to the MIO sugar free water flavoring. Sweet Tea flavor. I’m a southerner and my “people” would probably make me turn in my Southerner Card for drinking that in lieu of the sugar bomb real sweet tea is, but I do like it a lot.

    ^^THIS

Also the hubby and I just had the painful experience of watching one of his uncles die as a result of smoking related illness. Let us say I am well motivated to never go back to smoking.

Im so sorry for your loss.

I got some vape mail today. Twelve top caps for my original Zeus rtas. Geekvape was nice enough to sell them to me even though they weren’t listed on the website. I also got two more zlide 4 ml tanks and a few flavorings.

Are top caps the sliding part for the tank?

I’d start with a NET tobacco and then add chocolate or whatever else you want. I recently made one with Nicaraguan viso, glamour chocolate, and caramel butter. I like it pretty well so far.
