All I can say is you people are a bad influence!
True of every special interest group I've been a member of, cars, precious metals, flashlights...whatever.
If you hang around, you're likely to spend more, unless you're select. Take leads, but research. Don't chase the shiny. There's lots of good information presented, but don't go crazy on buying...speaking from someone who has done so.

Which parallel mech did you buy and where?
The mechs were both noisy crickets. A v1 from china and the parallel was a v2 from the marketplace here (thanks again @DPLongo22) so technically I guess that one is only semi-mech.

Considering quitting vaping, and it has nothing to do with addiction, regulations, taxes or health. Let me explain.

My roommate/landlord complained that he could see and smell it in his room above me. I tried convincing him to let me run the furnace on the circulate setting so that it pushes the vape back into my room but he didn't like that idea and told me not to touch the thermostat again in the end (it was working btw). It's now currently on circulate at night only, but isn't kicking on for circ much because the heat is on at night. I'm not sure if he knows it's set that way or if he wants it set that way but it works out in my favor so I'm doing as instructed and not touching it.

I've been lucky enough not to have to deal with this very much and have very understanding roommates but I'm not sure if this problem goes away if I do end up moving. He's the first person to complain and he has only been able to notice 2 days in 2.5 years. I'm a ways away from buying a house still. Who knows how my future roommate/landlord feel about me vaping inside and I didn't quit smoking to have to go outside to vape. Being able to "smoke inside" was my number one draw to vaping. You may feel differently.

But that's not the ultimate reason I want to quit, that's why other people would like me to quit which only carries so much weight. The thing is... I'm sick of the vape on everything. My laptop had a cooling pad under it and the fans would actually drip a little vape out. My car windows had to be cleaned nearly every week when I was actually driving. I had to change out my HEPA air purifier filters twice this summer, they were dripping in vape. I cleaned my room mirrors 3 weeks ago and they're already caked in vape. My computer is about two months old and the clear case side is already showing vape, appears to be both on the inside and the outside. I blow vape away from the computer. Mind you we're in heating season now so the AC hasn't been on, my HEPA filters aren't soaked and I'm still having the problems some people said would go away with the humidity. I really don't like the idea that there's probably vape flowing throughout all of my PC component's fans.

The computer is brand new and was not cheap as I'm a gamer so this is really bothering me. I know I vaped with my old machine for years and then my laptop for years without issue but to be honest I'm just sick of the mess. And yes I'd rather quit than switch to tootle puffing, been there done that.

Unsure if I'll get the guts to do it, whether I can carry it out, or if this is just a rant but thanks for listening anyways. It's a big decision that's been on my mind lately. Didn't feel like starting a thread.

Quitting is a good choice. But here's a DIY option that will also resolve. Needs trip to HD and 30 minutes, or so: High Quality DIY Air Purifier "Comparetto Cube" GL

Never knew the NC II was a parallel mod. Just looked it up, apparently it's both series and parallel...

"Optional circuit in series and parallel: Simply turnover the circuit board, you can choose the series or parallel circuit to your preference"

Same. My ceiling fan blades are moist due to vaping since I’ve been working from home. It ruined them. I’m also afraid of my home computer so I started running a floor fan to suck it out of the room and away from the computer. Every mirror and tv and surface is covered with vape and I’m sick of cleaning all the time. I’m hoping it gets better in warmer weather. I tried vaping outside but that’s no fun. You can see the vape hanging in the air in sunlight. I’m dL high vg chain vaper. Now that I’ve spent thousands stocking up it would be hard to try to quit. But I understand where you are coming from.

I think of that from time to time when I click the "order" button :)

Although I never planned on quitting as I never got into vaping for that reason (in fact just the opposite), I know that there are reasons that could force me to quit.

Selling isn't an option for me for the vast majority of my stash (even at a loss) as it isn't worth much and has little to no demand.

I received 25 bags of cotton bacon yesterday, so it'll be a long time before it becomes necessary to scrounge for cotton at the craft or health stores. Starting to feel that my preparations are getting into the good range.

I've noticed that some on line stores do not seem to be getting much new stock, so it's happening.

Most US vapers may have already heard, but yesterday Vaping360 posted that now UPS announced they will cease home delivery of vaping products on April 5th. No USPS, No Fedex, and now no UPS. That effectively ends our ability to purchase anything vape related online, and very probably the death of all online dealers in the US for consumers. I don't believe this will affect wholesale sales to B&Ms, maybe someone can chime in. But how often in the last few years has a vape shop had what you really wanted? Most of us here are fairly well stocked up, but if you want that last piece of gear, now is the time, not later. Sad times.

It's expensive but what about DHL?

Edit: Honestly I don't figure the industry is going to survive outside the hands of Big Tobacco Anyways at least in the US. Once Deeming is fully enforced I don't see much getting approval.

I disagree with it ending our ability to buy anything vape related. The products below have other uses as well, not just for vaping. There are likely others, too, in addition to them. Granted, it's a pretty small list, but...it illustrates my point.

PG & VG
Flavorings used in DIY
Eliquid Bottles
Syringes & blunt needle tips
Scales
Cotton and/or rayon for wicking
Wire for coil-building
Wire cutters or shears
Tweezers used for rebuilding
USB charging cables
Battery chargers
18650 batteries and others - (the 18650 are in the sights of the CPA and others though)

ETA: Because the above things, and likely others I didn't mention, will still be available to us...that's why most people have been encouraging others to stock up on the things that won't be available to us soon for online purchasing (ie. nic base, mods, kits, tanks, RTA, RDA, replacement parts, drop-in coils if they use them, pre-wound coils, etc.). Wise purchasing decisions go a long way to help people who want to vape longterm.

I agree. And what many of us have been saying for years, stock up on hardware and nic. Without those, the rest is just crafting.

The DHL Domino has already Fallen.

Prohibited Goods:
  • Shipments containing narcotics, nicotine, nicotine compounds, vapor or psychotropic substances;

  • Tobacco and tobacco products, including but not limited to cigarettes, cigars, loose tobacco, smokeless tobacco, hookah or shisha;

Not sure what DHL's stance on Hardware is? And but it wouldn't surprise if they took a more of a FDA style approach to what one Calls a "Tobacco Product".

I've always assumed VG/PG would be safe but I'm questioning whether or not they'll be shipping anything from sites with vape in their name. I just told me Dad about the UPS news and he almost panic bought 7 gallons of VG/PG and I had to tell him to calm down, he has a little time to make sure his finances are straight.

I'm so glad my birthday is coming up, my wife ordered me 2 new mods, plenty of wire for making coils, extra batteries and 2 rda's and an rta. After reading about the law i just ordered enough nic and pg and vg for a few years. I guess we will see if anything about vaping survives after the dust settles but at least ill be able to enjoy it for quite awhile longer. My big concern now is flavorings. I'm good for quite awhile but i order quite a bit from bull city and im wondering if they will still be able to ship after this? I guess i will have to wait and see.

Doesn't matter because not only will all those sites go out of business unless they already have a decent wholesale clientele (selling large quantities to other businesses like heartlandvapes), but you can just buy your PG and VG from the hundreds of non-vape sites that sell it, including ebay and amazon.

Lots of people here already buy their PG and VG from non-vape sources, Bulk Apothecary being one of them.

Perfumers apprentice also have PG and VG and their main clientele has always been food oriented.
