I remember a few months ago I was watching a Grimm Green where he was showing all the mods he had stored in some cabinets that he hasn't used for quite a awhile. Some of them still had batteries in them because he touched buttons on some of them and they came on. I was like  because even though I made that mistake, he should know better IMHO. He never even said anything about it like "Oh :censored:, I need to take the battery out of those".

Just posted this a few days ago

I guess now I really don't mind not going that direction

Well, I wouldn't say you shouldn't buy one, you just have to know what you're dealing with. Not using it? Remove the battery.

Pods that have bit the dust for me, Orion, Podin surprisingly the Gala is still going & Minifit. I have a couple more I should check a Breeze that I rarely use, too hot & spits for me and another one EQ. I have an internal batt Adept that died, and my Aegis mini is about dead.
So these aren't lasting but a couple years. The Adept only lasted a year.

When I first learned of the vape mail ban and before I even looked at anything recent, post 2016, a friend of mine asked me if she should buy more of the pod system she uses. I was like Oh he!! no! To my memory pod systems were all in one throw-aways.
Finding out my favorite coil was no longer made forced me to actually look around and I was surprised by some "pod" systems of today. Sure many are still the throw-aways pod systems but some use external batteries, popular replaceable coils, have rba/rdtas. I kinda wish they would have called the later styles something else but they do have that proprietary plastic pod in common. I guess like any favorite tank the actual pod is something you would want to stock up on.

Internal battery mods like any battery have a lifespan, some have lasted me 2-4 years before dying while I have others that are still going strong 8+ years... Would I want to depend on one for my only? No, but, not everyone wants to do the whole external battery charging thing and there are times when it's impractical. If I'm going away for a weekend (or a week to my sisters) I take internal battery mods. So much easier.
I never charge an external battery in my mod, but some do.

Some of the best, full-flavored prebuilts I have are pods - I was quite shocked myself. Currently using a Smok Thallo (wish I'd gotten an S), a GeekVape Aegis Boost Pro (have a 510 adaptor if I ever decide to convert over), a Smok 160RPM (which was finicky at first with the coil readings, but finally settled down - also have the 510 adaptor for this as well), and a Smok RPM2S. They all put out very good taste and decent clouds. I'm a slow and low burner though. More in it for flavor than for clouds.

I have a few mods awaiting delivery, and I thought I'd ask some of the peeps on here if they have/have used any of these mods and their actual thoughts on them. Longevity, quality, approval, disappointment, etc. I have yet to use anything in TC mode as I don't know much about it yet, but I'm assuming once I start building, I likely will. I'm not really concerned about that at this point.

Another problem is if only tobacco flavored pods are available in the future with 50mg nic salts, I am screwed. I vape 3 mg and no tobacco flavors. So glad I stocked up! I'd rather vape a carto than a tobacco 50mg pod LOL

I don't even mind my Juul tobacco pods honestly. Never though I'd say that but I really don't. I did start with tobacco flavors though so I'm sure that comes into play.

Obviously I don't like them more than Cinnamon Danish Swirl V2 or they wouldn't be in a box under my bed.

I would rather unflavored than tobacco flavors, seriously, I can't do tobacco flavors at all. Tried the juul back when flavors were still a thing and I don't know if I could ever adjust to that high nic, it was overwhelming to me, made me feel sick quick. I'm probably more the hand to mouth habit than the nic, I could go no nic.

same, I'd rather unflavored...I never did really care for tobacco even when I smoked, I smoked cloves...now that said I did try a blueberry tobacco pod at work that I liked and didn't even know it was tobacco but i'm sure that got banned in the flavor ban as well.

The whole vape situation is ludicrous I think we all know that It's completely unfounded in science money grabbing politician BS. But the thing that really gets me is where are the addiction specialists in this? I'm in pain management so the subject of addiction comes up quite often as part of my contract I have to speak to an addiction therapist ever so often it usually is like once a year just to make sure everything's peachy. As though they can't tell by me being on the same exact level of medication for 7 years now anyhow

When I was talking to her because in this 7 years I've become pretty well acquainted with her she's very nice smart cookie too a person who has an addiction problem would be lucky to run into someone like her. Anyhow we got into the topic of nicotine. And I asked her what she thought about this idea with vaping and only allowing things that emulate cigarettes. And she started to give the whole flavor children appealing thing. So I asked her would you recommend to an alcoholic that they simply switch to non-alcoholic beer And she said oh no absolutely not that is the worst thing they can possibly do that's going to trigger them constantly they're never going to succeed that way.

And I just kind of looked at her and she said oh I might have to reevaluate my thought process on this one. I was like yeah I would still be smoking if the only thing I had available to me was tobacco flavored e-juice or menthol flavored e-juice there's no way it's triggering it is the definition of a trigger you might as well go hang out in a smoke smoke shop in all your free time

Was in one of those specialty type shops today. A mod caught the corner of my eye and I remembered that this place also carried a fair bit of e-cig stuff. He actually had some Aegis Solo kits in stock and said a bunch of stuff just got bought and he needed to place another order.

He had a wall of juice and lots of pod mods as well but was really got me was the Juul like pod system. They had flavors of all varieties. I thought there was specific legislation that banned the sale of flavored pod pre filleds, just looked it up and confirmed it too. Am I missing something? Naturally I forgot the name of the brand, began with a B. The guy acted like they were perfectly fine.

    Bang?

BTW: I didn't think it was illegal yet. I thought Juul and others only removed "flavors" from their lineup to avoid the controversy.

There's no shortage of flavored pods and disposables online.

Yes that was it I think. Not sure how I could forget Bang, probably too innocuous.

FDA sure seems to think it's illegal. (I didn't read the whole thing I'm working too)

FDA finalizes enforcement policy on unauthorized flavored cartridge-based e-cigarettes that appeal to children, including fruit and mint

*edit* Oh and guy did say he'd order me whatever I wanted.

I read the 1st paragraph, then the 2nd paragraph starts with..

'“The United States has never seen an epidemic of substance use arise as quickly as our current epidemic of youth use of e-cigarettes."

...which is utter hogwash x300 becuase I've seen my own town turn into a
h-e-r-o-i-n hellhole in less than 3 years. And they :censored: know it.

Now I'm too pist off to read the rest. I gotta cool down a bit. :-x
