Jimbalny you've come up with the perfect solution to my only problem with the Darwin. Now why didn't I think of that?

I do believe that Darwin himself would be highly amused to find that some of us monkeys are sucking on battery powered sticks with his name on em'. Hurray for evolution! Hurray for tool use! Hurray for battery powered sticks! But best of all hurray for the genius, Jimbalny, who figured out how to get the Darwin to work for more than 3-4 drops at a time and still get the arm to close all nice and pretty.
I cannot take credit for that, another member in the darwin thread replied with a pic to my complaining "i wish i could fit my mega b atties on this thing! hmm what could i mod to make it work." He suggested using a 510-510 extension, whereas I use two 510 shorties and a 510-ego cuz I havent gotten a chance to order one yet
Ya I love using the bigger atties, can't stand 510's and smaller cartos - get dry way too fast for me.
The Bulli looks like the first cool product to defeat the "swing arm" of the Darwin. Looks great Jim!
You sing it Mr. T! Jim sticking your A2 on a Darwin really is the best combination for the Darwin I've seen in a while. either you stick something on a Darwin and you're wishing you could close the arm or you stick something on it and wish you could take more pulls without having to drip so much.
Just like in the videos with the 701 carts you don't really need to cut the wick as the loops of wick will poke up towards the 701 poly fill and do their job admirably. But if you feel the urge to cut the wick to help with the juice flow just cut the loops but don't trim the wicks. Then there's the carto end cap mod where you pull the poly fill from the 701 and just fill it with your juice of choice and stick a doubled over length of wick through the hole in the carto end cap long enough to touch the coil and stick the carto end cap upside down into the 701 cart and you've got a little over 1ml of free flowing juice. But, the carto end cap wicking mod is more for sedentary types as a good jarring of your A2 can pop that little carto end cap out and you may get a bit of juice flowing out the air hole on the A2. It hasn't happened to me yet but I tend to go with the poly filled 701 when I'm going to be active.
Yes switch the screws and that little brass bushing/standoff on the negative screw. The positive screw is the one with the silicone insulator. The negative screw will than screw flush against the base and the positive one will be raised higher.
quick question, when rolling up the mesh, are you rolling it up with wick material inside at all? or is it purely mesh and nothing else? thx

I saw an email a while back something about the 30th I think.
I am still loving the A2 for dripping and got a few of the 701 carts and it seams to be working well. No complaints at all.
The only thing I find is the draw on the one I bought from the classifieds is a bit light but with the cart on it and a long wick its better. On my new one I am going to start with a smaller air hold to see if that makes it any better.
I will be buying a few more just to have around.

You can defeat that for most things, I have a bunch of different adapter combos, and use my bulli A2-T on a darwin almost exclusively. Other lengths of adapters let DCA306s close, and if its really wide, slap on the gooseneck.
Actually, no, tanky sized objects usually end up on the Provari
In the A2 configuration I've found that the original wick/coil setup, with the coil opposite the air hole in the tube, has worked best so far with the addition of a 701 to 510 drip tip adapter I can control the draw a bit better. If it's still a bit airy for you you can try shoving a tooth pick in the air hole nice and tight , breaking or cutting it off as flush as you can, then using a pin to gently wiggle a smaller hole between the toothpick and the air hole edge. Or if you don't mind ugly just put a bit of electrician's tape over the air hole and poke a smaller hole through the tape.
I haven't tried the oxidized steel mesh post wick like in Big Bulli's diagram yet but I did come across one fix for the potential shorting of the coil and a not fully oxidized wick. Pull the center tube out of a 510 or 808 carto and slide it over the steel mesh and then wrap your coil around it so the coil doesn't touch the steel mesh at all.
So far the original A2 configuration is the best least hassle vape I've had yet.
