Fair enough. I figure that there were a ton of good reviews and very few negative ones, so why not give it a try. If for whatever reason it doesnt work out, Im sure i can unload it on the classys no problem. I guess in a way we are always looking for that "next best thing".

Just checked CoV...amazing,how they went flying out in 5 minutes worldwide at first, then today...still available to buy 48hrs later!

Yeah, Imeo mentioned that he did a 1000 units this time. Wouldnt expect them all to go so quickly, especially if they are as terrible as you make them sound! :p

This is the info I got from Charlie at NGP...

We don't have any NGP in stock at the moment. We are manufacturing these PV's at a very low capacity.

The waiting list currently is around 2-3 weeks.

The prices of the NGP PVs in USD:

NGP 4.1 (Genesis, palm) mechanical switch - $55.

NGP 4.1 (Genesis, palm) touch switch - $55.

NGP body with 510 connection (just body, no atomizer) - $40.

NGP Genesis atomizer with 510 connection for Lavatube (just atomizer, no body) - $40.

NGP Genesis mechanical switch - discontinued.

NGP Genesis touch switch - discontinued.

NGP Genesis ring switch - $68. (Az új NGP genesis 18650(subtitles) - YouTube)

(18650: http://ngp.hu/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/DSC03831_viszint.jpg or 18350: http://ngp.hu/wp-content/uploads/2012/02/DSC03837.jpg)

Drip tip, additional metal mesh for the wick and kanthal - $8.

Packaging and postage - $12 (up to 0.5kg)

Additional $5 if you pay through PayPal (or you can make wire transfer, but you'll have to pay the international transfer fee in that case).

(These prices might change, depends on the currency exchange rates. Please note that no drip tips included for the PVs.)

Please do not make any payment until we packed you PV and sent you an email about the total price.

Cheers,

Charlie

I e-mailed NGP as well and got absolutely no response. Kind of made me not want to deal with them if they can't answer a simple inquiry e-mail...

Relax, the guys dont speak english and are relying on friends that do to answer the metric ton of e-mails they must have received lately;so far I think 3 diff. guys are relaying themselves to answer them.

Can take up to a week.

As an exemple,I frequent English,French,Canadian,Russian and other boards and right now, they are the hot topic everywhere around the world;poor dudes have 1 little lathe and are doing it as a hobby,NGP is a no frills mod with no pretention besides the fact that they are affordable.

Sure, the tank base is plastic and you got some wires running through the tank in the juice but for $55+shipping,its well worth the wait and patience.

Hell,I am in line for both models,4.1Palm and stick.

On the other hand, half of my shiney new Svoemesto shipped today, weeeeeee

I finally got my RA Tank today! I'm excited but I don't know what I'm doing. Can someone link me to some good text or vids on how tos/faq/help for this stuff? He built 1 coil for me and has it on there but I don't know how to put a new one on or make a new one. I don't even know how to adjust the one on there and it's not glowing all red, only certain sections

hehehe,check igetcha69 youtube channel :)

igetcha69 - YouTube

You know, those rebuildable tanks are really meant to be used on VV devices, you just wind up 4-5 turns on a coil then adjust your voltage to suit...no headaches.

This is why I tought the odysseus was major fail...coil ohms changing as gunk forms, etc, etc.

You are using it on what?

Hey ChellyNelly,

Had a quick look at the RA, is it set up with a fiber wick or stainless steel wick?

I've tried nichrome and kanthal wire and have had way better success with the kanthal on my Line V2 and Maxi. The nichrome I have is a very thin wire (the vendor didn't say the gauge) and therefore the thinner the more resistance. The kanthal I have is 32 awg a tad thicker, therefore less resistance so I'm able to get more wraps and get a lower resistance (ohms) finished product.

If your wire is red at one end only could be a couple of reasons. a) the wire is touching something it shouldn't. between one of the terminals where the wire connects. or b) if your using a SS wick it could be shorting against a wick that isn't well oxidized or a SS wick that was rolled without folding over the outside edge. If you don't fold over the outside edge of a SS wick the frayed edge is impossible to oxidized therefore resulting in hot spots (this one is harder to explain :( ) and c) sometimes on a fresh coil/wick a break in period is required. very short bursts of power to a dry coil/wick can help with a break in. what I think is happening when you do that is that if your oxidation wasn't perfect, the dry burns oxidize what hasn't yet been oxidized.

I used to make 3 ohm wraps (like 5 wraps!!) but now I aim for the lowest ohms I can get (three wraps is good).

Rebuildables are all about finding the sweet spot and trying to repeat it time and time again.

igetcha69 is great video to watch. He used to burn/dip/burn/dip/burn his SS wicks but doesn't do that anymore. One burn, some juice and a burn and away he goes.
