I got 7 or 8 wraps of 24g at 2.4mm for .3~ ohms that I'm vaping at 70w. I've pushed it to 75 and 80 but it gets easy to get a dry hit taking 5+ second drags. It's a bit of a warm vape with lots of flavor and nice clouds. I still wish I could push it higher but I don't think I can fit a bigger coil in there.

3mm coils Is a tight squeeze. 2.5mm seems to be perfect.

Has anyone been able to push this at 80w+ with 5+ second drags? I wish I could get more vapor out of it, but it's a great vape.
No tanks are going to be as good as a good dripper in cloud production. But they give a good flavorful vape with good cloud production. Problem with RTAs is the limitation of airflow and coil surface area restriction.

I just rebuilt my Cthulhu, my old build was 9 wraps. I got a coil master a few days ago and finally used it to make the coils for the Cthulhu and I was able to wrap tighter coils and fit 10 wraps in there, vaping beautifully at 70 watts and will try to take it up to 80 after I enjoy it for a while. I was also finally able to get the wicks placed perfectly and had no sort of leakage into the air holes, felt perfectly dry when I took a dry hit to draw the juice back into the wicks.

@Wraith504 I would only disagree with the clouds. IMO they're just as good as many RDAs out there, but vaping at 150w on a Mutation Xv4 beats it obviously. I am still amazed at how big the clouds are when I get a good drag out of it, and they feel denser and more flavorful.

It'd be nice to see some RTAs able to handle 100w+ like some of the new sub ohm tanks that are coming out.

Thought I'd share a pic of my Cthulhu.

Got demons on my back! lol

Put on a low profile delrin drip tip, no heat now and can chain vape at 70w taking my 5+ second drags with no heat problems! And no more risk of breaking my teeth!

I like that drip tip! That whole setup looks nice

Those nuts are a little wonky. Make sure you are pulling upwards a tad when screwing it in to keep everything nice and even...seems like one side wants to say a bit usually and screw everything up. I also recommend going slow while screwing it down.

Hope that helps. Let us know if it doesn't.

Pulling it upwards definitely helped a lot. Now I'm having the problem of the positive post starting to rotate when working on the deck and my AFC ring has gotten really tight to the point where I have to unscrew it to close it for a top fill. *sigh* I love this tank, I really do, but it's becoming too problematic to be my primary RTA.

I discovered the lazy man's way to wick this thing. Here's the step by step procedure:

1. Adjust coils to about 1mm above the airholes
2. Insert cotton into coils as usual and trim wick tails flush to and following the radius of the deck; no fussing with wicks at all; just trim them, that's it.
3. Assemble, fill with juice and clean up leaky mess thereby created
4. Take it apart and check for sources of air leaks, find none
5. Reassemble, refill, and clean up leaky mess thereby created
6. Put aside in disgust of having failed miserably
7. Try to vape it again after a few hours to see if anything changed (the cotton has now expanded)
8. Vape tank dry -- happy camper.

Next time I rewick it this way, I plan to skip the leaky mess steps. Will save even more time and effort.

I feel you on that. I've been considering grabbing a billow v2 for my "easy" RTA. Which RTA are you liking?
