Bla, single 14500 mods just don't cut it for me, if it had 2 x 14500 or a bigger batt then that would be nice but single 14500's just don't hold above 4v for to long:facepalm:, I'm spoiled :smokie:

There are a lot if people out there who like a mini mod for going out though. This one is all mechanical & only $75. It has potential. Huge market for the 14500 mods. Not for everyone, but there is a spot at the table.

I believe they are.

There is a charity auction link in General Discussion & a Tekk is being auctioned today.

I believe they are not replaceable, I had a first edition Tekk and they where not a replaceable Batt AG. These come as a pre built power source to the Modders for powering up cell phones and other gear, and then the modders turn them into a PV. At least that's how it use to be done, those Batts where not replaceable to the average person as well, pretty much only a modder can do it .

Ya I'm sure people would buy them they buy anything and its cheap enough and looks good, However for me personally a single 14500 Batt just isn't gonna cut it for me, they hit hard with an LR Anything or even probably ok on a reg Atty or Carto but they fall under 4v so fast then don't satisfy me, I've had this issue with plenty of 14500 Batts, even my Reo Mini which takes a 14500 falls low on power very quickly, I think anyone using a single 14500 Batt leaving the house for the day just better make sure they carry a couple of back up Batts and they just don't seem to hit like the AW IMR 18500 OR 18650 which seems to hold that higher voltage range for longer then the 14500, just my opinion that' all..

Ok...I thought the Tekk was replaceable nowadays. I knew the older ones were not. I'll have to do some research, but it's not a feeder anyway, so I'm not feeling too bad about being wrong!

I agree about the short charge on the 14500 battery, but it's still a decent device for a night on the town, or any other event. It's certainly not going to last most people all day. It's a popular platform though, so maybe they will figure out a way to increase the mah for it. Then again, carrying around a spare batt isn't the worst thing. Of course, my ideal device would be a VV mini with a 2000mah batt & 10ml bottle, but that doesn't sound very "mini"!!! Lol!

Well, time for me to commit the blasphemy of admitting that I've decided at long last that feeder mods are NOT my vaping weapon of choice. Yes, I own three bottom feeders (2 Phids and a 2nd-gen Wetbox with the sealed switch), and I admire many of the current crop of artisan feeder mods (REOs are all mechanical and built like tanks, Phids and Ali'is are well-crafted, Brian's Red Sky feeders are well thought-out and beautiful, etc.). But I'm one of those taste bumblebees who like to flit from flower to flower---I vape up to 20 different juices every day. Swapping out bottles gets old fast, especially with the current generation of improved cartos (dual coils, Boge LRs, and Ikenvape Gold V2s) that can be screwed off and on in seconds.

I do keep a whole slew of PVs at my desk and bedside, all loaded with different juices, but I find it simply more convenient to swap cartos and tanks when whim dictates rather than changing bottles---especially bottles of different sizes (3ml, 6ml, 10ml). I keep about 30 labeled 3ml bottles of my current favorite juices at both desk and bedside for quick refilling/topping up, so---for instance---while a REO Grand is a terrific mod that with that powerful 18650 hit, the 6ml bottle is a deal-breaker for me.

No criticism is intended here either for bottom feeders mods or those who love them. This is purely a statement of my personal preference.

The whole "cottage industry" of vaping is expanding so fast it makes my head swim. Between all the recent tank PVs coming out of Chinese factories (eGo-T, iGo, Go-Go, Echo-e, 510 tanks, etc.), the increasing stream of high-end feeder mods (like the soon-to-be-released Eclipse and down-the-road JModTronic), and the continuing evolution of beautiful hand-crafted wood mods---not to mention the availability now of a wide range of absolutely amazing juices---we seem to be reaching the point in the industry's development where vapers beyond the novice phase not only have a plethora of interesting choices, but can be somewhat more certain of getting products that actually work the way they're marketing hype suggests, without the necessity of endless fiddling and major user-modification to enjoy some satisfaction and ROI (return on investment).

Here in this bright, shining space---after the bare bones beginnings of vaping and the early teething problems, but before the possible legislative crackdowns of governmental control freaks and more ominous, longer-term shadow of global monetary/economic collapse---it looks to me that vapers have it pretty darn good. For the moment, anyway.

Please try to keep this a discussion about all feeders.

There are various places on ECF to post about what you bought or issue congrats.

Actual discussion is what I'm attempting to keep going in this thread.

I'm guilty of fanboyism as much as anyone, but I do try to stay on topic here.

Durnit AG!!! I just pulled the trigger on a Red Sky Mark IV and it's all your fault. They are on sale and I couldn't pass it up for the price. Of course, by the time I ordered batteries, it was more. All I have around here are 14500s. I was going to hold out and build one but, I've been bottom feeding at 3.7V when I'm out and dripping on a VV at home. It was getting unsatisfying.

If anyone wants to see it, number 4 at the bottom on this page Red Sky Mods - Home is mine.

The GLV 3 is one step closer to being ready for pre-order. Its looking like its going to be in the 180-200 dollar range, but I'm doing my best to keep the price down. The way I feel is if the majority of people cant afford it, ..whats the point?...right? The high dollar MOD is under development, and could be ready by the end of the year.

Finally a VV feeder??? WOWSERS...OK, now I am getting interested. I've thought and thought about everything and the obvious logical step in my vaping evolution would be to end up with a VV mod, that feeds, and uses big batteries.

Thanks for the post!
