Trump has been getting educated about vaping. I say that because I believe if he knew the facts he would not be issuing a nationwide flavor ban. And if it’s true he hasn’t been getting the facts he needs to tell his DHHS Secretary to pack up his desk and get the hell out.

There’s not many ingredients in e-liquid to begin with so her claim is utterly ignorant. And dopes like this shape public policy.
In an interview I recall Roslyn Carter (First Lady) said her grandmother advised her, you never have to regret something you didn't say. (Somebody please pass that along to Trump.) The Pres should have stayed out of this but may be we'll be better off because of it. Now he's got to take time away from N Korea, Iran, China, et al and learn more about vaping because the backlash to his vaping comments was much stronger than anticipated. His aides should have protected him from stumbling into this minefield.
The flavor ban isn't going to work, not in 30 days and not next May. Vaping is a basket of cats and there are millions of cats.

Agree. Cabinet secretaries and advisors are supposed to present all sides of an issue and even present their opinion. It’s up to the prez to make the final decision. Something was missing in this process.

I kind of expected this. I've watched Pres. Trump long enough to know that he often does this to get everyone talking about something, so both sides get out into the mainstream. Or he's negotiating by starting with a really tough position and going to something more acceptable to all parties. When it sounds like he's talking off the cuff, he's really not. It's for a reason. Remember after the shootings he mentioned "red flag" laws, but has endorsed no red flag laws and has actually spoken against them on numerous occassions.
Well, one thing is for certain. It's not the ghost town around here that it was just a few weeks ago. I've never seen so many notifications, posts, and so much activity here. Speaking of conspiracy theories, does anyone think Oliver hacked @RealDonaldTrump's twitter account to boost membership?
Guess I'm pessimistic, nothing in that post says he isn't still going through with a flavor ban. Could just be trying to get us off his back for now.

My fault. I got crazy busy yesterday dealing with members freaking out and completely spaced posting it here. I was up until midnight trying to catch up. I wasn't even able to do the regular news updates! All of the members should have gotten the email you did, though.
