I keep thinking "Men in Black" types performing sneak checks on poor old vape shop owners. It's liquor stores that contribute to death and family breakups, not vape shops.

It's more about tax revenue than harm, obviously.

…Let's set up a scenario by which an FDA agent walks into a shop and wants to see a PMTA filing for every product. When the filing cost upwards of $500,000, the paperwork isn't at the shop. It's at the lawyer's office. Does the agent then go to the lawyer's office and demand to see the paperwork? Remember this is a lawyer's office. They won't be seeing anything without a court order and that takes time.

I don't know how this is all going to play out. But I do believe the FDA will be inundated with PMTA filings up the wazoo. They cannot possibly check every line item. We might just see a wholesale "approved" from the FDA. Some regulation about labs and manufacturing, but that's it.

I could be wrong.

That's a good point really. It will be a morass and in practical terms, impossible.
I imagine they will issue a certificate something, akin to a license of permission, a hall pass or perhaps a rubber ducky.

Good luck. :)

Vaprzon is just about out of the nicotine vape/ecig business. The only thing they have on their site that's nicotine vape/e-cig related is a few Halo juices, which I assume are Halo's PMTA juices.

I'd say this is Exactly what the FDA wants to see during this Ramp-Down Period.

The laws require and FDA had PROMISED the courts that there would be NO VAPING BAN. Instead they gut the vaping retail industry with impossibly complex and extortive premarket requirements resulting in…the very PROHIBITION in effect that the bureaucrats said they opposed…

Should we continue to feed the very beast that consumes us?

Good luck. :)

The solution to this and many problems in western nations is at the very end of that video. However the kind of person that it takes to put it in motion has long since been bred out of the west, for the most part. This is no coincidence. So those words mean nothing today - just words from the past that Americans use to instill temporary outrage...then it's back to business as usual.

Where is the sad/mad button? You may be right. It would seem the spirit of true rebellion and resistance to oppression has left the building. No one remembers the architect.

Good luck. :)

Is it that? Or is it that Few have/offer a Solution?

It Easy to be Mad at things. Because there is a Lot to Be Mad at wherever you look. But what good is it to say things are "Wrong" or to use phrases like "We Want Change"?

Don't get me Wrong. I'm a Huge Advocate of people Standing Up with a Sign in their hands say'n they Don't Like something. But that's only the 1st 10% or so. The next 90% is presenting a Workable Solution to make things Better.

Few Disagree that the FDA is Hosed Up. But Even Fewer Agree on what Should be Done to make it Better? Or How to Do It?

Dissolve it, start over while remembering the sins of the past.

Time for the reset button. However, the FDA is not the only self-serving government bureaucracy that needs to be torn down and started all over again.

We've got a lot of work to do.

Those that are willing have long ago been labeled the lunatic fringe and have had their rights and ability to resist stripped away..

I surely hope I did not imply that the FDA is the only or even the first to be dismantled, as you say there is a lot of work to be done.

OK. So the FDA gets Dissolved and then Rebuilt.

But just Keep In Mind that there are Many who feel the Sins of the Past was the FDA Not Doing Enough to Regulate/Restrict e-Cigarettes.

See how the Last sentence in Post #28891 becomes so Important?

I think it is way beyond just the FDA and or some government thing. I just saw a magazine from 'Professional Safety Journal' with a huge article about ecigs. 3 PHD's wrote the article and from what I read, the people actually believe all this junk. I don't know if anything will ever turn this around, hate to be negative but I dunno.

Follow the money. Who funds or funded the article?

I don't know, I stopped reading after the first 2 pages of garbage. It made me realize that nothing we say will stop the misinformation and garbage. Several times they did say it is 'unknown' what dangers ecig vapor might present but still quoting the stuff about formaldehyde and the epidemic of teen vaping.
