Exxon?? I would have thought Big Sugar or another highway. Floriduhhhh
The reason they insisted and threatened to condemn the property
and pay me only what I'd paid tax on the unimproved property
was that they wanted to annex my and many other owner's land to Everglades National Park.
Then they leased it to Exxon who unfortunately
did not find oil.
I say unfortunately because I kept the mineral rights...

If you meant to say complicity, then yes. That's what they've been doing for years. Raising taxes, passing stupid laws, creating black and gray markets and thus aiding and abetting.

Fixed it  Though they seem to be happy to justify more Enforcement and Guns in action........ so both work.:D

You know the Trouble with a Circle?
Never ending ................................... like Government Regulation

wiki:
Fascism /ˈfæʃɪzəm/: a form of radical authoritarian nationalism that came to prominence in early 20th-century Europe, influenced by national syndicalism...Such a state is led by a strong leader—such as a dictator and a martial government composed of the members of the governing fascist party—to forge national unity and maintain a stable and orderly society. Fascism rejects assertions that violence is automatically negative in nature, and views political violence, war, and imperialism as means that can achieve national rejuvenation Fascists advocate a mixed economy, with the principal goal of achieving autarky through protectionist and interventionist economic policies.

You know it and I know it. How come they don't get it? And how do they get elected and re-elected over and over again?

Don't answer that, the question is rhetorical.

I'm so mad.

Five years from now? Have you read the actual text of the PACT Act of 2010?

Text of S. 1147 (111th): PACT Act (Passed Congress/Enrolled Bill version) - GovTrack.us

"Congress finds that—

(1)
the sale of illegal cigarettes and smokeless tobacco products significantly reduces Federal, State, and local government revenues, with Internet sales alone accounting for billions of dollars of lost Federal, State, and local tobacco tax revenue each year;

(2)
Hezbollah, Hamas, al Qaeda, and other terrorist organizations have profited from trafficking in illegal cigarettes or counterfeit cigarette tax stamps;

(3)
terrorist involvement in illicit cigarette trafficking will continue to grow because of the large profits such organizations can earn;"
Whooo! We can be tobacco manufactures and terrorists too!

Between reading this thread and reading just for pure enjoyment get my mind off of it… I give you the following and please forgive me for being rather long. Just replace FDA and our situation in the appropriate places… Enjoy and hopefully have a small smile about the idiocy of this all.

“Now, like an apprentice staring at the work of a master, he read Reacher Gilt’s words on the still-damp newspaper.

It was garbage, but it had been cooked by an expert. Oh, yes. You had to admire the way perfectly innocent words were mugged, ravished, stripped of all true meaning and “decency, and then sent to walk the gutter for Reacher Gilt, although “synergistically” had probably been a ..... from the start. The Grand Trunk’s problems were clearly the result of some mysterious spasm in the universe and had nothing to do with greed, arrogance, and willful stupidity.

Oh, the Grand Trunk management had made mistakes—oops, “well-intentioned judgments which, with the benefit of hindsight, might “regrettably have been, in some respects, in error”—but these had mostly occurred, it appeared, while correcting “fundamental systemic errors” committed by the previous management.

No one was sorry for anything, because no living creature had done anything wrong; bad things had happened by spontaneous generation in some weird, chilly, geometrical other-world, and “were to be regretted.”*”

“* Another ....... phrase that’d sell itself to any weasel in a tight corner.”

“The Times reporter had made an effort, but nothing short of a stampede could have stopped Reacher Gilt in his crazed assault on the meaning of meaning.

The Grand Trunk “was about people” and the reporter had completely failed to ask what that meant, exactly? And then there was this piece called “Our Mission”…

Moist felt the acid rise in his throat until he could spit lacework in a sheet of “steel.

Meaningless, stupid words, from people without wisdom or intelligence or any skill beyond the ability to water the currency of expression.

Oh, the Grand Trunk stood for everything, from life and liberty to Mom’s homemade Distressed Pudding. It stood for everything, except anything.

Through a pink mist, his eye caught the line “Safety is our foremost consideration.” Why hadn’t the lead type melted, why hadn’t the paper blazed rather than be part of this obscenity? The press should have buckled, the roller should have cleaved unto the platen…”

Kinda wish I was that baby at feeding time...

Kinda distasteful, there, bro.

The real shame is that she is representative of the industry writ-large. Her speech wasn't terrible, but it lacked direction, articulation, and, most importantly, accuracy. And, she's probably, still, in the top 10% of the "best" direction the general vaping public is receiving.

I was on the road for work again this week and visited another dozen or so shops. It's so depressing.

Another bit of positive-advocacy advice for SFATA? Recommend each of your member-retailers go visit 3 gun shops and engage the owners in a discussion about current/pending firearm legislation. Within 3 visits, they are guaranteed to find a retailer who knows how to inform and inspire a consumer to advocacy.

Thick blood? Sorry, I have no idea what she's talking about. Nicotine is not an anticoagulant. Smoking activates coagulation pathways and may lead to thrombosis and heart attacks, but not nicotine.

Nicotine is a vasoconstrictor though.
