Some of us oppose it, but no one that "matters."

Duly noted.

I also oppose it, in principle, and perhaps many other vapers do, but "we" (CASAA and others) decided from the very beginning that we had to pick our battles. So there.

Vapor deposition... hmmm... that's kinda like a boxer debriefing, ain't it?

You have to remember Glantz thinks particulates are a big problem with ecigarettes. It would be great if there were more studies comparing vaping byproducts to ambient urban air. You want unhealthy particulates, Glantz, I'll show you unhealthy particulate levels.

Meh...

Selling Zoloft, Paxil, Buspar, ......, Lipozene, Demerol, alcohol, etc. T-shirts would be way out there.

Supporting something that's natural with no harmful side effects, medicinal and recreational... that you can't die from? Not so "out there" IMO.

Particulates and formaldehyde are their link to 'harmful' - they'll hold on to that one study no matter how many cartomizers they incinerated. Goniewicz, Hajek and this study:

Study Shows E-Cig Vapor Has Similar Level Of Risk As Air.
Comparison of select analytes in aerosol from e-cigarettes with smoke from conventional cigarettes and with ambient air

The new study, published in Regulatory Toxicology and Pharmacology looks at several leading American and British brands of e-cigarettes to show that levels of potentially problematic substances in e-cigarette aerosol are in reality about the same as what is detected in ambient air.

Honestly, there are so many things we are exposed to on an everyday basis that really are health threats, but they decide to go after vaping. Maroons.

-Pressed wood products: particleboard, plywood, medium-density fiberboard (MDF); often used in cabinetry, and wall and floor materials
-Consumer Products: fingernail hardeners, nail polish, wallpaper, some other paper goods, paint, coatings; often a preservative in these and other products
-Coatings for Some Cabinet and Furniture Products: acid-catalyzed ureaformaldehyde type finishes
-Permanent Press Fabrics: clothing, linens, draperies
-Combustion Appliances: wood stoves, gas appliances, kerosene stoves
-Tobacco products: cigarettes, cigars"

Go one better : Identify the manufacturers of the displayed liquids ( unless they're made up props ).
Tip them off about there juices getting slandered. Have their legal department write some not-so-friendly-letters to Hallmark and Dr whatchmacallit..

By now, the vaping community shold be done with .....-footing around...
The same program, 'Home & Family', encourages alcohol consumption:

"When a chicken is burned, the resulting black crisp will contain carcinogens but that does not mean that chicken are carcinogenic," Peter Hajek

Peter Hajek, director of the Tobacco Dependence Research Unit at Barts and The London School of Medicine and Dentistry, said the study did not reflect real-world conditions.

It is .

No doubt in my mind that statistics ( and BT's revenue increases ) will show the link clearly. So let's make sure that everything that's being said and posted now is properly archived. Vapers reverting to smoking and suffering from health issues that recur after switching - document it.

Yes, the ANTZ will make up all sorts of lies again to explain that increase in smokers. They will even have the nerve to use it as an excuse to ask for even more funding. BT and BP won't mind. With their profits back to where they should be ( from their point of view ) , they got some crumbs to spare for their minions.

But a lawyer knocking on the FDA's door - representing a few dozen ex-vapers now smokers - asking for reimbursement of medical bills plus a few bucks punitive damages...

You see, it's all about money.
So, speak the language of the almighty buck to them:

If just one out of hundred vapers...(clacking away on pocket calculator)...
...

I haven't caught up with this thread yet, but IMO, I wouldn't even allude to vapers going back to smoking. Total silence while everyone does their thing with BM or DIY. How furious would they be if what they thought WOULD happen doesn't? And not only that, but guess what FDA/BT/BP/BGz?- now you don't even get the taxes. So....good job!

This is my feeling as well. If that is the FDA agenda, they will be sorely disappointed ...

The internet will keep vaping alive, despite the mainstream media ...

I was just 14 when I lit my first analog, a teenager with no ethical resolve and little resistance to temptation ...

I was 60 when I quit smoking and started vaping, an adult with a lifetime of analytical thinking behind me. Its unimaginable that I would smoke again, and subsidize an industry that dang near killed me ...

There will always be healthier alternatives ... :2c:

The same program, 'Home & Family', encourages alcohol consumption:

Dr. JJ makes an enthusuastic appearance toward the end, promoting the positive health effects of wine.

Glad I went back and finished watching. Being a celebrity pediatrician, Dr. JJ is a leading authority on children whose parents watch the Hallmark Channel and drink alcohol.

I got an email from my congressman this morning letting me know that they are trying to pass something to pull folks out of poverty.....This was my response to him

Confused, angry and upset

It is wonderful that one branch of our government is trying to find ways to put people to work but is criminal that another part is in the process of killing jobs.

The FDA in its zeal for control are in fact killing the fast growing e-cigarette industry. By deeming something that is as far from tobacco as Earth is from Mars they are killing an industry that has the potential to save hundreds of thousands of lives. Instead of embracing something that can and does improve the health of those that have switched, they have chosen to demonize this life saving technology and with the stroke of a pen, wipe the industry out.
The anti-smoke zealots refuse to see that vapor is not smoke so in turn refuse to consider the fact that vaping is not smoking.
I am asking you to help us by lighting a fire under the bench sitters when it come to this matter.
Thank you in advance for helping us.
 You go girl, that is one of the most rockin' letters I've ever read!
Remember that even though the state of California allows the sale of ____ with a prescription, it's still federally illegal, and people are not being prosecuted because the administration is choosing to not enforce.
Not sure about the medical states but the ones that have legalized it are making a :censored: load on taxes from the stuff. Again, it all comes down to the money.

A neighboring county has legalized the growing of other stuff. LEOs are now actually going door-to-door to make sure people are complying with the licencing of their grows (despite the multiple murders concerning grows/thefts there) so they can get their taxes, which are a pittance compared to tobacco taxes. Keep that in mind if you don't think big/little government might be concerned about your vaping once taxes kick in.
This is what I've been wondering...

What happens when someone who supplies one of your flavor components...
Makes an ever-so-slight tweak to their recipe?
New product, new PMTA. I believe.
I have no clue, what happens if a food manufacturer has to change brands of food coloring, flavor, brand of flour in their products if there is a shortage in the supply chain? Does Vuse have to submit a new application if their nic supplier goes under and they switch to a different company?
We want to secede from NoCal.

Sorry, Les. :D

Its ok, but we're keeping the water :p
Apparently you two didn't get the memo, there is no drought. However, Katya, we're still keeping the water. :)

Dr. JJ squeezes into a plus-size apron, and brings her healthy living advice to the kitchen, in this Hallmark Channel exclusive:
