That's cute! How did yo find this?

Way north. Too cold, perhaps? :D

winery koi pond :- ) I knew about Markham. Nice area. Eucalyptus near Joseph Phelps - you can taste it in the wine. Shafer winery - flinty - which I like. All in the terroir. Also been at the Temecula area wineries near you. Hart was a special place. Old barn, pretty good wine too.

Spent some time in Sacramento as well. Sausalito too.

What else would you suggest that I use? ;)
Give them all the water they need or want. Koi are awesome, as is all wildlife or pets. :)

Seriously Les, they're going to tax medication? I don't want one of those diseases/disabilities that other stuff works on. How freaking cold can people be? Oh wait, it's for the curtain climbers. :(

Now I really want to go! Both kids are up there right now--maybe it's time to visit them. :)

Not Helpful:oops:

Never heard of them. Some Cali site.

Some label designers...really ... Can't they stick to designing labels for detergents or stuff like that..

Site has an age check and heck.. if grownups run around in cosplay undies... gonna tip 'em off anyway--

Yeah, the tax is on the dispensary, so maybe it won't trickle down to the patients. It's a "business operations tax."

I guess it's a small miracle that Brown vetoed the bill that would have allowed cities and counties to enact their own tobacco taxes...

It's a very slippery slope, especially when the first step is imaginary. Unless you really only want plain text packaging. They can argue that ANYTHING is attractive to the kiddies, even just colored text, and they don't have to prove it(since they can't).

And me gonna do some digging around doc jj - that cv of hers sounds too smooth to be true.
And even if it pans out - recommending Avon whatever on her FB channel as repellent so that toddlers wont catch bites from insects transmitting zika virus... she really should match up with glantz. Run a mom 'n pop store for scientific consultancy...

Let the ....storm commence :D

f you're planning on emailing Dr. JJ, it might be a good idea to listen to her advice on the etiquette she expects. I have a feeling she's gonna be adding a lot more 'don'ts' to her list of 'do's and don't's in a follow up piece, soon.
Dr. JJ discusses the pros and cons of using email for communication with your doctor - along with some tips for being appropriate, and respectful.

Careful there, don't let their lies get to you. They're not marketing to children and we know it. That label isn't meant for children, just like the flavors aren't.
Doesn't matter. It's just adding fuel to the fire when it's totally unnecessary. Give me a break.

The fire doesn't need any fuel. The fire has been raging since before there were e-liquid labels. The same nonsense argument that says that a cartoon logo is targeting children is the same nonsense argument that says strawberry milkshake flavored e-liquid is targeting children. It's all totally unnecessary in their eyes. IMO if we don't fight that nonsense, we've already lost.

Is it just the characters that are bad? What about the pineapple with the googly eyes? What about a picture of a real pineapple? I mean, kids love fruit, right? What about bright colors? Fun fonts? And what adult needs a cotton candy flavored vape anyway?

I'm an adult, with a child of my own. I enjoy watching cartoons. I wear t-shirts with comic book characters on them. I play video games.

If I want my non addictive, as safe to breath as urban air, that is already illegal for minors to buy, e-liquid to have an anime styled ninja on it, what exactly is the problem? The perception? The perception is wrong. The perception is fueled by lies. The perception is what is allowing the rest of the country to not care that we are being singled out. We need to fight that perception, not acquiesce to it.

I don't think anyone is missing your point that cartoon labels play into one of the more damaging lies that is being told. You're absolutely right about that, and it's clear that Dr. JJ chose them specifically to drive home the lie that she wished to relay.

But, if we are prepared and mature enough, as a community, to fight this war, we need to look at things like cartoon labels as an opportunity. In fact, we need to view every lie they tell as an opportunity to dispel it, and, in doing so, prove them to be the liars that they are.

Yes, it's a difficult battle to fight, but it needs to be fought. If we don't fight the lie of using cartoon labels for marketing to children, then they stand a better chance of winning the battle of the lie about flavors, and colors, and...whatever...to market to children.

Lessifer, I believe it was, made an interesting but somewhat controversial point, a few hundred pages back, about the danger of acquiescing on the regs about child-proof packaging, content labeling, and age restrictions.

Now, of course, most (all?) seem to think all three of those things are good ideas, and found the idea of fighting them absurd. But, the thing is, somewhere around 99% of the industry self-imposed those items, already. Common-sense, left to its own devices, prevailed, and we got those three important things prior to any regulation telling us we had to.

The point being made in fighting the regulation, though, was that accepting those things as mandatory, was tacit admission that the products we're talking about are "bad", and need to be controlled.

Allowing the enemy just that one issue legitimizes their self-awarded mandate to be engaged in their fight against us. Allowing them to demand childproof packaging, age restrictions, and content labeling establishes them as the good-guys in this, engaged in a just fight against us, the bad-guys.

In fighting the long-war, we're going to take a lot of blows, and each is going to hurt, but you have to look at every punch your adversary throws as an opening that they left in their defenses...and exploit it by hitting them back, harder.

Then this human pig beast of a woman is revealing the secrets of the universe inside a damn grape???

Why is this channel even in existence???

I have no clue, what happens if a food manufacturer has to change brands of food coloring, flavor, brand of flour in their products if there is a shortage in the supply chain? Does Vuse have to submit a new application if their nic supplier goes under and they switch to a different supplier

Geez, I did not even think about that one. Argh! What a nightmare!

I think this was a Sacramento County thing, but the voters  just passed a measure to tax the medical stuff, supposedly to fund after school programs. I of course voted against it. I wonder how those voters would feel if their Pain/antidepressant/nausea/whatever else medications were being taxed.

That is a load of bs. Taxing medical. If it is medical, it IS medical. And you're right...if it was any other medications there would be a big outcry.

Don't forget they can fight and die for our country but can't have a beer, cigarette, or a vape? That's bull:censored:.

Shouldn't have to sign up for Selective Service until 21...

Well, I don't believe in the draft anyway, but I digress. How can one fight for freedom when they are made to do it? Didn't have a draft in the 1st American Revolution.

This is when I sometimes think a stiff sugar tax would provide an important civics lesson for voters. What goes around eventually comes around.
