I had a co-worker put tea into her clearomizer tank. Brewed tea. That didn't work out too well for her. She actually thought it would work.

I was actually meaning putting the concentrated flavor packet into some PG or VG and making sure the powder is fully dissolved. Then using that. I am not saying it is a good idea was just kind of thinking out loud.

I JUST NEED TO SAY STOP GIVING AWAY OUR DIY SECRETS!!!!!!!!!

(Yeah, it's HARD to do, I'm going to concur with that, DIY is kinda on the order of like, nuclear fission.)

Also, I'm going to SUGGEST that those desiring to access the DIY undergo a verification process that involves fingerprinting and some sort of genetic material and etc.

Shoot. He owned a share in a vape shop. COULD he possibly know how easy DIY flavoring could be? Here's hoping it was just a stock thing, and Gottleib, DIY is very, very hard, I'm sure you told the new owners that when you SOLD your shop amidst your smarmy little REASSURANCES that oh, vaping would be JUST FINE, and I bet you inflated inventory.

Maybe these are the kinds of comments I should be leaving on your little FDA site, you INHUMANE LYING AMORAL CENSORED CENSORED!!!!!!!!!!

Oops. I almost hope we meet in reel life. It would be brief, but interesting....

Based on the requests for information it appears the targets are Juul, Vuse, Blu, and Mark ten. The last three obviously BT. Then there are the letters to the convenience store chains. No word on vape shops. Also Gottlieb made a sorta funny comment about how older smokers turned vapers use much larger devices that are different from the convenience store/pod system sales. I don't know whether to be reassured or insulted that us old folks aren't in the cool crowd of high school.

I saw this on the subject:

"The FDA says it's giving manufacturers of Juul, Vuse, MarkTen XL, Blu and Logic 60 days to submit “robust” plans to prevent youth vaping. If the agency doesn’t think their plans go far enough, it could order their flavored products off the market. Those five brands make up more than 97 percent of the U.S. market for e-cigarettes, FDA says."

Then:

"Gottlieb said the agency could also target "cartridge-based products" such as the USB-sized Juul, which is favored by teens and sold in convenience stores. Adults tend to use bulkier "open tank" vaping products, he noted."

Not sure what they are saying here. It sounds like us adults using that "open tank" gear are only 3% of the market. Then I figured that when they say "e-cigarettes" maybe they are only referring to pods, or cigalikes. Whatever, something didn't quite add up.

That's good, right? That means none of us are actually using e-cigarettes, and won't be subject to, or affected by any new regulations, right?:thumb:

Early this past Spring we got a metric azzload of rain here in NC (which is happening now...again). Ever since then, the copperheads have been all over the place. All that rain re-located them.
I feel your pain. I leave for Gastonia tomorrow afternoon, and then to Asheville on Saturday. Getting married at the Biltmore on Sunday. Meanwhile my home in Martinsville will be getting hammered. If I lose power (mainly to the sump pump) I will come home to a flooded (fully finished) basement.

Pretty much what I figured.

Wow, Gastonia- brings back memories. I lived in Charlotte during Hugo '89, and had to drive to Gastonia daily to get ice, as we were without power for 10 days (we must've been among the last to be restored). Had to stand in line for the "lottery ticket" to buy a chainsaw down on Westinghouse Blvd. Not good times. My wife still reminds me that I laughed at her, and told her we were too far inland to be affected when it was coming. Guess I was young, and didn't quite realize, it ain't just the wind to worry about.
If I lived in Florence, SC I'd really be worried- here comes a big storm, and it has your name on it!

edit: Oh, and congratulations!
