I still don't quite understand the "argument." What exactly is the problem with consumers urging vendors to inform their customers? No one is talking about forcing vendors to do so, or even talking about boycotts or anything like that.

If you are a business owner, run your business as you see fit, but it would be fantastic if more vaping vendors were informing their customers about what is going on. Perhaps, if they did, our voice would be that much louder.

I'm not normally one to tell people what they "should" be doing.

I'm usually very careful to post my opinions and motivations and/or question others opinions and motivations.

I do likely sometimes use the shorthand of "should" when what I mean to say is, I would do this if I were in that situation, or in my opinion doing this would be good for our cause.

I don't really drink anymore so I've kinda modified it to "I believe I'll do what I feel is in my best interest"

I've notified my customer base (at site & email) and I don't expect the 30% that actually read the information to carry the fight.

People gonna do what people gonna do & I'm not here to tell them what to do...that's the goverments job and we gave it to them.

While they may actually be gathering information about those particular issues, I suspect part of it is also an attempt to weed out the, "Someone vaped on me and my eyeball fell out." It seems aimed to keep them off the phone and makes it extremely easy to move the reports to the circular file folder / file 13. God help us if they give any self-reporting any level of credence.

I am glad that he posted his thoughts on the topic. Different perspectives ( especially from a vendor who is financially affected by these regs ) add to our understanding, but i am curious, where are these comments about "his business" that leave you disappointed. I can't find any comments about his business.

Some of us had been commenting on businesses who kept the customers in the dark ( either intentionally or unintentionally ) and worst, those who were misinforming their customers. We didn't know who he is or what business he owns. He then basically called us all busybodies, in his first post on the topic :

The FDA is doing a "study" and the results will be published in mainstream media.
At which point it will become all sciency and be held up as gospel.

We are "anecdotes" but their "reports" represent valid data points.
So now you can see where the difference lies.

Because, yeah.
