I still have to wonder if Pence knew the full ramifications of what he was signing.
40% is a rather large cut of the action, don't you think that would make even the most oblivious politician do a double take?

[Edit: I got my extortions mixed up. Pardons.]

Not on Trump's watch!

Although the outcome was certainly unexpected, we did miss out on a golden opportunity by not obtaining a marketing branding agreement for Trump E-juice (metallic gold label, maybe a gold dropper top too, or would that have been too much?) before the election. If we'd had that, we'd have been totally set.

Maybe his kids "taking over the business" for him while he's in office would still be receptive to a pitch.
Probably not, as they'd have to do the whole PMTA thing before being able to sell it, since it's post 8/8.

That's right, Lessifer. I take a firm stand against anyone dissing my new president. Lassie would have been better than killary. But it would be hard to look for better than Trump. His ego may be an asset afterall. His ego needs him to be the best. And Iran is already telling him he can't cancel the deal Obama made with him. You know we give Iran a few billion and they promise not to make big bombs. BS. Trump can reverse executive orders.

IMO, Pence is a long time pal of Paul Ryan. Other than that he was your typical average politician who has made a few blunders in his life. However, being a pal of Ryans and being the complete opposite of Trump, I think there was a deal involved- GOP " you take Pence as veep and we'll give you some support." I am so going to love watching these anti-Trumpers grovel after being so nasty.

I'm going to play the devil's advocate here...

A bunch of lawmakers and buddies worked out a crooked scheme behind closed doors.
On the face of it the thing sounded good to the ear, and maybe even legitimate.

You had to get way down into the details to understand the security requirements.
And how those requirements turned what maybe sounded good into a sneaky scheme.

I'm having a hard time saying with absolute certainty that Pence had to be fully aware.
And I'm having a hard time being certain he shares much blame.

But maybe I'm just trying to be optimistic.
:)

That whole thing just smells of " good ole' boy " money slipped into the pocket
It smells that way because quite frankly this is how they do these things there.
A lot of states operate this way. One must study the political patronage systems in cities such
as Chicago and New York to understand how it works. It's business as usual to them.
It's how they do things. They see nothing wrong with it as it's the way it's always
been done.

Mike

And this ^^^^ doesn't reek of the good ole boys club????? Come on. With Trump and Pence being polar opposites that is the only thing it could be. I will enjoy seeing Pence put in his place as a non-player tho. There has been many VP's that are only window dressing....I am sure there is plenty of 'busy' non important stuff for him to do.

To Me, it is Very Difficult to guess what role Pence will play (and to what Degree) in the coming Administration?

Because All Bets seem to be Off with this President.

I could envision Trump wanting to be more of a "Figure Head". And a large Delegator to the VP and his Cabinet Members. I could Also see Trump taking a "My Way or the Highway" attitude when it comes to Decisions Making and Longer Term Goals.

The Whole thing is Sideways. And I'm Not exactly sure what is Up? And what is Down?

Yeah, we are all holding our breath.....but if the attitude is 'his way' and the two in question are polar opposites, I tend to think Pence will fade in the background. He certainly did not appear 'present' during the campaign.

I Can't see how the Spotlight will not be Entirely on Trump in the coming Months. Something I'm sure Trump Craves. How much Pence acts as the Go-Between for with Rep/Dem Leadership and the Oval Office is Unknown.

I believe that is why Pence was Chosen. But how much Trump listens to Pence (and his Senior Cabinet Members) is the Great Unknown.

Many say that Trump is a Completely Different Person when he is Not in front of a Camera. And has the Appearance of a Reasonably well adjusted Normal Person.

I just haven't every seen Trump acting in that capacity. So I can't say.
