Speaking of 3 letter agencies...

I went to a public meeting of the BLM once. It was to listen to opinion about closing more off road trails to motorized vehicles. That was their idea. So I got a chance to speak, and I talked about how these canyon roads going over small creeks are not getting damaged by vehicles. They get annihilated every year by the flash floods. Any small life (riparian) living anywhere near that water is dead. They weren't interested in real facts. I asked them if we were having a vote, since this closure effects the residents of this valley.

"No, this is a public comment, not a vote", BLM director stated.

I then asked, "Is anyone here an elected official?"

BLM: "No, we work for the BLM."

Me: "So you are having a public comment section, but you are going to do what you want regardless? And there is no representation of the people that this will effect?"

BLM: "But we are having a public comment section so we can get your opinion."

Me: "But there is no vote. You don't have to listen to anything we say, you just do what you want. This is a dog and pony show to make it look like you listen, when all you really care about is keeping you job and hiring your liberal arts major buddies."

I was already prepared to leave as security was walking to me, I got out with out incident. What was funny is one of the BLM ladies, I had dated her, and I knew she agreed with me. She turned bright red on stage when I waved.

In the end, not a single person there wanted the road closed. But it's closed now......
This, in a nutshell, is why Donald Trump got elected.

This is not intended to be a comment on whether or not that was a good idea.
Nor is it intended to be a comment on whether or not he will do what he promised.

It's just an observation based on a thoughts and concerns of the disenfranchised.
Or at least my perception of said thoughts and concerns.
;)

I think you are absolutely right. Hopefully having a business man instead of a life long politician in the highest office in the USA will make a difference. Only time will tell but as far as I am concerned just about anything he does has to be better than what has been happening for the last 20 or more years.

Hopefully he will stir the pot enough to get those that can make this country great again get down off their high horse and get busy listening to the folks they are supposed to be serving. One can only hope and vote those that don't do a good job out of the office they hold. Too many of them have been in those offices way to long and think they are too big to fall. I think they just found out that we are tired of the same ol' same ol' and we aren't going to take it any more. JMHO

Exactly. I know certain things about his behavior. I can tell what he is. All I can do is hope he changes some of this garbage. I know lots of Blues that voted Red this time, for that reason. We are tired of the system. It doesn't work well for us.

It would be nice if the 3 letter agencies has some voter oversight, direct. If you are going to put rules on us, let us vote. Incarceration without representation... :)

You should see the trails west of Las Vegas, NV these days in the mountains. Huge piles of undergrowth, dead tree branches (and whole trees), massive amounts of forest fire fuel everywhere. It's against the law to remove it.

That isn't how the mountains developed. There were people living there (indians), who gathered that wood for shelters, cooking, etc. That's been going on for over 15,000 years! Now suddenly the custodians of the forest abandon it? Burn baby burn.

And of course, the next forest fire will be caused by an E-Cigarette that exploded and fell into a tinder box in the unmanaged and under maintained forest. It's illegal to vape on the National Park areas now. I'm a two wheeled steam engine train out there. Riding along on my mountain bike chucking cloudz (but not around other people, don't want to make a bad image).

All we can do is hope for sanity.

We live on a flat earth. It was a difficult thing for me to accept as a youngster. Yes, I'd learned that the functions of government were to be delineated and limited, that any change of their role and authority required an amendment of the law of the land by the will of the people…but most Americans believed that this is impossible.

We live on a flat earth.

Good luck. :)

This is going to be Secretary Price's call folks. Trump isn't going to care one way or the other and if anything will side with the vaping community due to his disdain for regulations. He probably wont even know about it. He put Price in there for a reason and trusts him. So if Price says it goes then it goes. So write both Senator Johnson and Secretary Price.

First off let me say I don't agree with the regulations as a tobacco product. However I think we are better off in that category than being considered a drug. If we are put into the drug category than all it takes is a drug executive with the right friends to make us prescription only. How many doctors do you know who are gonna prescribe a 100mils of 5 pawns juice a week?

I make my own coils, most of my juice, drip tips, can make box mods and my new metal lathe was just delivered yesterday. I love the goon dripper and have 4 more on the way to go to the the ones I already have. I also just saw that fasttech sells the goon bases 2 for $10 so gonna order some of those and make my own top caps and airflow rings on the lathe. The best suggestion is to get as self sufficient as possible. If you know the basics they can never stop you from vaping. I mean heck a few years ago everyone was building mods out of Altoids tins. Educate yourself on as many aspects of vaping as possible. 18650's not going anywhere they are used in to many other things, coil wire, candy flavoring, VG, PG, same thing. I just saw a post with a pic of a tank using an RCA plug instead of a 510 connector. They cannot stop diy. I am all for fighting the good fight but also preparing for the worst. I am getting away from tanks using premade coils opting for things like the limitless and limitless XL instead and drippers.

If they can charge $100 per visit (adjusted, no doubt, to a mere $35 copay) to write said scrip, I'm betting many would. Then, of course, the pharmacy would charge $835 per 30 ml (adjusted to just $50 on insurance).

All of this assumes smoking is not considered a pre-existing condition...

Robino, darling. Can we forward this info to CASAA? Things are happening, legislatively speaking, very fast, and we DO NEED a bunch of CIAs. It's now or never!
I would say go for it. I can post it to their CASAA facebook page. That is where they are active now. Not much on here anymore :(

Posted to CASAA's Facebook page and is awaiting approval before posting.

Think I will start a thread in the CASAA forum...
Mind if I copy your post to use as a petition update? Every little bit helps, right?

Absolutely use it.

When I post something to a public site/page/forum, I know there is the possibility of it being copied and used elsewhere. I am very careful in what I put out there ;)

Feel free to take it and use in your update and yes, every little bit helps.

"In the coming weeks I intend to introduce legislation to allow this industry to be regulated in a reasonable manner."

This sounds promising.
