... For the most part though it seems their focus is still on the POD type systems.

But for How Long?

If the FDA is going to put it's Big Regulatory Foot down on Post 8/16 Pod mods, why would Anyone think that the Stomping will stop there?

Same with Flavored e-liquids in Pods.

I'm just saying "what kids are using" is a temporary thing, kids can change what is considered cool starting... right now.
Then they could shift the focus from "what kids are actually using" to "what we say kids might use".
It's just so easy to stretch what they're going after, there's simply no good definition or accountability that would limit what the Eye of Sauron will look at next.

Man I just hate this. I hate it so much. I mean I know where this is going, I always knew but I hat watching it unfold before my very eyes. Etc. Sigh.

It's kind of like having a nightmare, and it's really vivid, and then you wake up and it's actually true.

If anything it shows how much influence established lobbies have in your political system. Yes, every country has that and to a degree it's justified, just the extent seems to be underestimated in the US, they're one of the few western countries that seem intent to kill vaping outright, and obviously not for factual scientific reasons.
With the tenacity behind that murderous intent there has to be a lot of money at stake for somebody...

That's perfect, actually.

As much as I like to "argue" politics as a past time/hobby, (I do tend to be socially liberal i.e. I don't care who marries who, etc.) and fiscally conservative (don't spend money you don't have and don't buy stuff you don't need, which is probably most stuff) ...but there really are just some politicians I personally dislike a lot.

I don't watch TV because I don't HAVE TV. :)

How I find reality is I just look around my region, state, neighborhood, and see how people are doing. The majority of every day Americans. How are they really doing?

I grew up in the Eisenhower/Kennedy years, and if somebody worked full time, and gave an honest, earnest effort, they could go home after their 8-9 hours and were able to put food on the table, keep a roof over head, enjoy their family, and have the basic comforts of life (could buy a new refrigerator w/out having to eat beans n' rice for 5 years), and were not wiped out and put out on the street if their child had a medical emergency or their car blew the engine or their spouse got cancer.

There weren't luxury condos every other block, and rents were affordable to someone like my Mom who was a schoolteacher. Houses were places to live in, to raise your family, not investments to "flip" with ever-increasing price tags. Most everyone truly was "middle class".

I believe it was because people had REALISTIC EXPECTATIONS. Now, everyone wants to be a you tube -instagram- reality TV millionaire or something. :)

Families in neighborhoods were able to solve problems together and amicably, by collaboration and reaching consensus. Billy stopped going too fast on his skateboard if Molly agreed to not let her slobbering dog roam the neighborhood jumping on everybody. :)

It really WAS just that simple. It's about realizing that your needs are not the only needs, your way is not the only way, and that sometimes, everybody has to give up something to get something.

It's called compromise. It's what successful marriages are all about. :)

TV and social media haven't "connected" people at all. People really are going to have to come together at some point. Collaborative efforts really always work the best. Anyone who's been on a problem-solving project at work knows this. You are often forced to collaborate with people you don't even like or agree with. More people should be put in that position, so they can learn something. Chances are, if you can't get along with members of a small team then you won't get along in a larger team, either.
When you learn to get other people's input, and respect what they have to offer, then you find solutions. Hierarchial, paternalistic, king-of-the-jungle stuff never turns out well. Listening works.

Truth is found by using your eyes to look at the world around you, and using your heart to feel what others are going thru.

The problem is that we all have filters, called 'bias'. We all have to be pretty self-honest to see our own. We all have them. Some just are in a deeper rut than others.

Who needs the FDA, local government will just make it cheaper to smoke stinkies.....

The Chicago Sun-Times reports that the city’s Mayor, Rahm Emanuel, intends to further increase Chicago’s sales tax on vapor products.

If passed, the proposal would increase sales tax on vapor products sold in Chicago retailers from $0.80 per container and $0.55 per milliliter to $1.50 per container and $1.20 per milliliter. Put another way: Chicago already slaps $17.30 in pure tax onto a 30ml bottle of e-liquid. Under Emanuel’s hike, that would balloon to $37.50 in sales tax for a 30ml bottle of e-liquid.

I honestly think that people not being face-to-face anymore, TV, and social media has ruined the ability of people to get together like human beings.

I used to like people, but then people ruined it.

I kinda used to have pride that like, society defeated Scientology, for the most part anyway.

But then I had to look at how it was done, and the price some people paid, (there's a really good movie about Anonymous and what some of those protesters paid, etc.) and it kind of... It felt subversive didn't it? Kinda? A bit? You were like,, "Oooh… unexpected attack from the rear, totally well planned out!"

I have decided that our government is just a larger, more complicated version of Scientology, honestly. At least what has been going on currently, and it's frightening (I have made something of a study of Scientology I LOVE CULTS, that is not to say that they are all GREAT I just happen to really enjoy learning about them.)

But really-- the same always changing rules, shifting players, things going on in the night, lies, oppression, taxation, bullying, FERVOR disciples strange tiers of various sorts, numbers always swelling, false testimony, perjury access to not just the best lawyers but OH MY GOD JUDGES, intimidation harassment, professed love for the "Writings" of the founding fathers and their writings, perversion of said, writings to a cause or leaning, FAIR GAME POLICY: may harass, attack, or kill at will, only the government is like RICHER than Scientology in its heyday.

Man I gotta stop thinking about this, it's getting too scary. The reason that the attack on Scientology felt subversive is that Scientology is ALL TOO FAMILIAR. Only it didn't also possess the US military and a bunch of natural resources, and oh GOD I should stop.

Actually I think the vape bar was subversive of the status quo. It was the barber shop, the corner bar, the grocery, the polling place, church and city hall all rolled into one. You could talk about anything with a great vape at its center. It crossed gender, race, politics, creed and most importantly generations. You can't have a bunch of people, all kinds of folks, meeting at random like that. They might just damn agree on something. And that well is all too American. Just imagine having one on every street corner. Pitiful.

Good luck. :)

My first vape meetup in 2012 featured people of various colors ranging from hipsters to grandmas, all sharing their joy of getting off smokes, swapping tips and flavors. It was a refreshing, friendly and happy time - real community.
