I just listened to Bret's vid with Axim, @Baditude. (Thanks for posting that.) I'm thinking the flow restrictored bottles are not our top-most concern.

From what he (Azim) said, we have at worst 4 months (for the PMTAs to be filed) and at best, 10 months.

OR, at BEST BEST, the "who knows".

vaping on the edge tonite. :(

For the long term, no. But in the short term, the mandate takes effect IMMEDIATELY, meaning stock that is already on the shelves can't be sold. U.S. e-liquid manufacturers and vendors were give zero time to bring existing products and production lines into compliance.

It reads like a deliberate attempt to undermine the vape industry. Will all of those bottles need to be destroyed? Think of the financial loss that will be incurred if it does. Small businesses can't absorb that type of loss.

Imagine the storm if they required flow restrictors on liquor. Or even child-proof caps.

I haven't seen any childproof boxes or containers for our "edibles," either. Brownies, chocolate bars, candy, chips full of you-know-what are all sold in paper/aluminum wrappers/bags that any child can open.

I just got an order in from my favorite vendor, still in glass bottles with child proof caps and shrink wrapped. I thought it ironic that bleach doesn't even have to be in flow restricted bottles! This is ridiculous!
And I've had ups leave pounds of ammunition on my door step. In the sun. In the middle of summer.

Here's Nicorette, same nicotine, in all those luscious kid-friendly flavors, and looks just like regular chewing gum--zero child-proofing. I guess if you're Big Pharma, you don't have to worry about saving the children...

Let's say I'm a small e-juice manufacturer in the US. I put all my savings into production, made a lot of good quality e-juice, packed it into good quality bottles (without the needle top tho).
What do I have to do now? Commit suicide to save kids?
    That's just another :censored:

Lucky you from the Colonies :p don't live in EU with TPD regs then ... in UK we have, at present, a very sensible evidence based approach to vaping that balances out some of the TPD daftness, but wth will happen to that when we leave EU is anyones guess.

it's a bit more reasonable than in the US, but I still wouldn't name it very sensible tho.
Why 10ml limit, why 2% limit, why tank limit, what will be the final tax policy for vape gear/juices, what about the flavoring options (to attract kiddos)? Many stupid decisions in that industry was already made in the UK and many more questions about the future of it in front of us.

Actually it's a bloody PITA to get a piece of that gum out of the individual blister things they're in.

Seems to me that the same problem exists with alcohol and tobacco cigarette sales. Kids want to buy them and the law doesn't seem to prevent them from doing so. Why not attack the sellers and stop the sales of both?

Oh wait, tax receipts would suffer. Our problem isn't that ecigs are a bad thing. They just don't rate in tax receipts for the government. The fix? Extend the tax structure to include ecig juice sales and replace the lost revenue with taxes from the new product.

Or, does the government really WANT people to continue smoking and die early? If you want to reduce consumption of a product, tax it out of existence. State governments will find a new cash cow.

    Maybe they've been here before.
