Many mods, atomizers, and accessories to go with them is a good start toward perpetual vaping if the FDA outlaws it all. Once you have the hardware all you need is the knowledge to rebuild atomizers and a supply of nic base to last for your expected life span.

This is a good time to learn to make your own juice. PG, VG, coil wire, wicking material, and most flavorings will transcend the bans just because they are multiple use commodities.

I switched over to mostly unflavored juice with nic a couple of years ago. I've vaped unflavored so long that it tastes normal. When I vape some of my flavored creations it's way too in your face at normal mix levels and I end up just adding a squirt of a flavored juice to a tank if I want a little flavor.

Don’t these people read history? Remember prohibition???

Do you think we'll need to know the correct knock to get into the doors of clandestine vape seller's homes to buy hardware and juice?

Big Tobacco should be fighting to preserve the vape. It's their future product. Wait ... they want to corner the market and lock out the Mom and Pop retailers.

There has been doom and gloom on this thread since long before I got here. The time, it probably does approach though some states are doing REALLY nasty stuff about vaping.

This thread motivated me to DIY and RTA and I am glad.

Also @Bronze I don't think I could get high on hemp. I don't get high on banana peels either.

I did (overdo by a fair amount) nutmeg cookies (I did not believe in their psychoactive properties) and I am here to tell you, it was the most awful "high" I ever experienced and it was LENGTHY because it travelled through the digestive tract. I don't recommend it.

I was on a school trip. I lay in some bed somewhere for like a day and a half, and then recovered by going to some keg party in a cornfield.

How I survived my youth? I am totally not sure.

I did once buy a pack of those "herbal" cigarettes (no not the funny kind, just you know herbs and crud) under the hopeful thought that like, maybe it was the act of "inhalation" I needed.

I smoked 1.5 of them and decided my conclusion was unsound.

That is why I have PLENTY of nic in the freezer. 0 nic is NEVER gonna do the trick for me...

And if it did, we would have a bunch of zombies walking around with nothing to do.

To be fair, many adults are as bad. Whenever I go to a restaurant, all the adults are on their phones the entire time.
I'd wager a lot of dough that cellphones kill far more people than vaping. I predict I will die from some young chickie T-boning me while texting on her cellphone.

I tried them once. God they were awful.

Clove cigarettes, almost enough to have made we want to quit.
I like those, hangsen Black label is a good representation of a djarum black. Better than the clove cigars they try to pass off after the Obama era ban...

I have a rule when I go to lunch with my employees: First person that messes with their phone pays for lunch. If nobody does, I pay for lunch. It works.

That's an ultrasonic nebulizer. Actually pretty nice as they're small and run off batteries so they're easy to carry around, unlike the air compressor nebulizers. But the type of vapor they produce is cool, not the warm vape we're used to. There are already 2 ultrasonic vape mods on the market, neither of which have been well received in reviews. Haven't read anything from actual users on here on them.

As to hemp, there are several threads on this forum about using it as wicking material. Some liked and some didn't. If you Google it you'll find hemp packaged as wicking material if you want to give it a shot. I think there's even one drop in coil that's part hemp, like the Falcon tanks that are part wood pulp, I just can't remember the brand.
I am intimately familiar with the "cool" ultrasonic nebulizer. I use them for aromatic oils. Not well suited to our purposes, I tried already.

I used to work with a lady who had asthma or something similar and she had an inhaler that ran on battery and the “mechanism of action” was vibration of some sort, and it produced a vapor.

Reading this thread, I’m still not really sure what to expect ahead, I get exactly what is going on, but not really the end game. What response it’s triggering though is the inner MacGyver.

There’s a lot, a lot of people that are a lot smarter than I am so what I’m wondering is if there may be some sort of back to the beginning “garage modding” scene that may emerge from all this and what exactly that may look like. The guerrilla talk got me on this train of thought. Where there’s a will there’s a way and the type of engineering that goes on in prisons has always fascinated me. As the line between “inside” and “outside” get blurrier here in America, I wonder what we’ll see.

Plus we have the internet. If someone were to have the initiative to get a head start on something along that line of thought, it may prove beneficial.

Between us we have the knowledge to fabricate everything except nicotine. I read a bunch of stuff about nicotine extraction here and in other places, just out of curiosity. The impression I got was that to produce something safe and useable would take a lot of knowledge and a lot of expensive equipment.

We are kind of at their mercy there. It's cheap and easy for individuals to sock away a lifetime supply. But it's sad to think that the future of vaping might be Juuls, plus a dwindling bunch of oldies with bottles of nic hidden in their basements. And dodgy nic of unknown quality for sale on the black market.

I've got nic, but I live behind a crumbling hundred year old levee that has never been maintained. Meaning I could lose my vaping insurance policy tomorrow. I do have a passport so I could always move back to Civilisation and buy nic in 10ml bottles I guess.
