Well the Apple Store banned all vaping Apps a few years ago. And I believe the Google Store soon followed.
Easy enough for them to change that, justified by the FDA having approved a product as "appropriate for the protection of public health."

I just typed "vape" into the android play store and lots of apps showed up.

I hope they don't ban LiqCalc. I really like it. I guess I better read up on how to side-load apps.
I recently got a new phone and despite my hubby backing everything up and reloading the new phone from the backup, and spending 4 days trying various things the only program that would not reload onto my new iPhone was a coil building ap.

All I can tell you is good luck.

In a weird sort of way I think that the FDA not approving Juul is going to be a temporary at least positive not a negative for vapors. And the reason why I believe that in the reason why it's a weird sort of way is because it will keep the anti's and the special interests and the individual politicians in areas a little bit quieter than had the announcement been we've approved their marketing.

I believe had the FDA just outright approved it we would be gearing up right now for individual politicians and states and such to be passing more laws. There would be mothers against vaping and all this crap popping up out of the woodwork making a big huge show many of them not even knowing that they're playing into the hands of the very thing that they're claiming to dislike while the leaders of those groups absolutely knowing. So I think in the short term it would have been worse for people for citizens though in the long run it's anyone's guess.

When it's a court decision people are more likely to kind of throw up their hands and say well we have to wait to see how this goes and they tend to create a little bit less of a stink when it's something that doesn't necessarily personally affect them. Less of a stink not no stink

Exactly. Had Juuls been approved, the mothers against vaping group -- whatever it's called -- would be screaming, politicians would be posturing, Lord Michael B. the First would be threatening, and the 1% of the general population that gives a spit would realize that the system is rigged. FDA knew it & Juul Labs/Altria knew it. When the dust from the FDA wrecking ball settles, Altria will have an approved e-cig on the market, for 99% sure.

Interesting take there. If they approve everything or nothing they will get heat from one side or the other. If they ban the #1 poster child for teen vaping they can keep one side calm, then approve some other stuff and keep the other side calm. They can look like they are doing real science rather than just what the politicians tell them to do. Do they care about their image? Who knows.

We just have to hope some decent gear gets on the approved list. I'm not hopeful.

Our 'decent gear' is not the same as their idea of 'decent gear'..

Call me stupid, but what vice do the "well-off" have that is legal and that the poor do not engage in themselves because it is economically unattainable for them?

I'm neither an expert nor connected to the pair over at BP, but I believe they're implying that most of the uppers don't care about nicotine, since most don't engage in it, which is why any uproar is unnoticeable (or nonexistent) by comparison.

But you'd have to ask them to be certain.

Like Saagar stated previously, the well-off are fond of expensive alcohol. Even though inexpensive alcohol use by teens is a far more of a problem than vaping. And while cigarettes and vaping are under attack, you rarely hear anything about cigars and pipe tobacco which some elitist also enjoy. Plus are taxed at a much lower rate.

At least we SHOULD be fairly confident that they won't try such foolishness again with alcohol. Too bad us vapers aren't quite as rowdy as the drinkers of that day were.

We could make some serious noise, if we were. ;)

It's great to see the vape companies finding alternative shipping solutions, but I'm now understanding why these shipping companies are 3rd tier. I've had a Juul monthly autoship order that has been out for over a month now. I placed an order with another vendor, three weeks into it and hasn't arrived.
The shipping times are as bad as buying from China with these alternative shipping companies. I really miss the USPS, I used to be able to set my watch by them. End of rant :)

I have no personal experience with shipments from these 3rd tier shipping companies as I have never bought anything from a vendor that uses them. But from all the complaints I have read about here and on Reddit since April 2021, shipments from Chinese vendors are actually much, much better. With China shipments, it's more of a known quantity (buy, wait a while, receive) and tracking works $95% of the time. But with these 3rd tier carriers it seems more like a crap shoot than anything else (buy, keep fingers crossed, take blood pressure medication).
