To paraphrase a few of these responses, "MY body, MY property, MY right to decide." Yeah, I'll admit to some nanny state paranoia... but it's only paranoia until it turns out someone really is out to get you. The real battle here is to demonstrate the benefits of our lifestyle, and the fact that we vape as the result of informed decision-making.
Its not paranoia. paranoia is when you think people are out to get you.
Dont you think that if I want to fly a flag on my front yard I should be able to, I payed for the property, I pay my taxes, but the HOA says I cant. Isnt that an infrigment of my rights to beable to fly a flag? ( yea I know you sign papers for the HOA, but is it really thing that needs to be?) Its not paranoia when people intrude on my space because they dont like something. Its a Nanny state. People will always think they know what is best for others, trying to fit everyone into a nice little box and have them all be the same.
Just like the Lung association saying "stop or die" they are telling what to do and how to do it. Who are they to do so? Talk about an almighty attitude. I really dont need anyone in my life to tell me what to do, I was brought up to know right from wrong and have a moral compass.
I guess there are those that need to have constant guidance in life, to be told what to do and how to conduct life, but there are many of us out there that dont and resent it. We resent to be told we cant have a flag on our own front yard, or where we can plant a tree, or to be told we can build a play house in the back yard or have a cross on the yard. There is so many things ive just referenced that was in the news over the last year that people have had happen to them.
In society there are the controllers and the controlled. I am neather. That is why I live out in the middle of no where in a state that doesnt spend all its time and money trying to control all the people that live here as long as they are not hurting anyone.
