Is it just me or does anyone else have to keep a google window open to search these "rofl" and make sure they mean what you think they do. I guess I should text on my phone more often... =] tee hee
Somewhere on the forums here someone has already posted photos of Vortex in a Map Tank.
Definately a very moddable thing....
And yanno, with both caps pulled off it slightly reminds me of a 306...the way it is all exposed...but bridgeless even![]()
I definately like these. I had to order a different style PCC to fit them.(I actually would have bought it anyway. I've been looking for this kind forever anyway.
) I will buy very many when and if they come in metal. I am playing with retro-fitting metal tubes on the ones I have. This is only because 1) I am a clutz and drop things constantly and 2) I like fruity stuff too, but don't like wondering if a flavor is going to wreck my carto. I will be using these with my tobacco flavors, and drip the rest until there are metal ones for me to buy. (please, please, please, please.
)
The two packages of Vortex's I ordered came in this morning. The old lady at the Post Office really got me out of there with them fast. Ever since she's had wheels put on her walker it takes me less than 45 minutes to get my package and get out.
I get them home, open one, fill it up and I've been chain-vaping on it for two hours and its not empty yet. I used FSUSA's HopScotch 50/50, great flavor and acceptable amount of vapor. My Buzz likes it at 3.4 (using my highly unreliable Radio Shack meter) and there are no leaks. Mouthpiece needs to be a little tighter, but we already knew that. Fine little carto that I'm sure will only get better as time goes by.
While I'm here, I need a question answered by one of you old timers.
I can put this little carto on my buzz, and also many of the other different types of cartos I have (i.e., mega-808's) and they work fine. Some of these same cartos I can put on my 5v pass-through and they work great.
BUT, I can stick one on a KR808D-1 batty or my wifes little Defender, or my Buzz at around 4v and they will taste burnt. I try to never buy a carto less than 2.8 ohms but some are 2.6 and some are 3.2 ohms.
CE2'S and some brands of mega-808's work fine on the KR808D-1 batty and others will taste burnt.
Why is this?
The lower the ohms the higher the heat. Freshly charged 808 batts are over 4V so add this to a lower ohm carto and you may have too much heat at the coil.
Sluers"" If I go to a restaurant and the food is bad, I am going to tell my waiter. Now the waiter did not cook my food himself, but he is representing the restaurant.""
Ok, my question is, do you tell the waiter the food was bad and either would like new food politely, or do you get up in the middle of the restaurant and start screaming about how your food was horrible and how your whole world is ending and thats the worst restaurant you ever ate form and start trashing plates everywhere.???
Now I am sure , just as you have been you would be polite about the situation and let the waiter go and bring your food back. right?
BUT... Some others simply rather stand up in the restaurant and make a spectacle. Daniel and I as owners wont allow that to happen, plain and simple. The other issue is SOME, and this will shock you, are sent to buy form us to start trouble, .
shocking right, well it happens and has happened for the turbine and the vortex and once again I wont tolerate it.
We sell as many dripomizers as we do clearos, you dont see any threads about those, becuase those dont affect others business. So thats why I have been on troll patrol and will continue to do so.
If a customer has a issue we are here to listen to those issues and beg of them to express them all, but expressing issues and trying to destroy a product in public are 2 different things.
What do you mean "current lack of customer service, regarding the Turbine and Vortex"?
?keep in mind you are presenting this as fact
, I never stated this was a fact. I stated how I feel about how Dan and Chris addressed some of the member complaints and deleting posts because of how they were worded.IMO, you should
Your statement can appear to some as an attack and prompt a defensive response.
just as it is rude for that waiter to then tell another customer at another table or the whole restaurant for that matter, that you were crying a river over your dissatisfaction.

There is a proper way to communicate a problem to management that does not put them on the defense. That old saying "you attract more flies with honey than vinegar". Customers work just as hard for their money as you work to earn your money. Sometimes people get frustrated and instead of waiting until they calm down, they convey their experience and disappointment in the current state. Which their current state is not good and words are used that can be offensive to the hard working staff.
I've got to say, I'm a little disenfranchised right now.I'm not sure which posts set you off like this or if you are in fact right about the posters being unreasonable or not but to pretty much call your customers cry babies over a product they are dissatisfied with one pack or not I think is a little disappointing to see. I wouldn't have expect this from you. and deleting posts? Unfortunately not all your posters will be reasonable or even mature but unless these posters are being extra unreasonable, derogatory or trying to sabotage, deleting posts looks shady. How are your customers supposed to trust you if it appears you are censoring the criticism in your forum.
The point of this forum is for you interact with customers, present your products and let people to leave their opinions and I understand NOTHING in vaping is fool proof but
. If this is the case with some of the members (or trouble makers) complaints, don't stoop to their level. It just doesn't appear professional on your part. I agree with smknomor,SOME, and this will shock you, are sent to buy form us to start trouble,

Do you even know what we are doign behind the scenes?
Listen - we are very very busy and we don't have alot of time to respond to every aspect of every post but believe me, there is no current lack of customer service...
I have also found that if I start to get a slightly burnt taste i can increase the speed of my draw and it will go away. Basically the greater airflow from the heavier draw keeps the coil cooler.
Edit:: The inverse is also true... If not producing enough vapor or flavor I just slow down my draw.
The lower the ohms the higher the heat. Freshly charged 808 batts are over 4V so add this to a lower ohm carto and you may have too much heat at the coil.
one freshly cleaned vortex with plumbers tape at the base. freshly filled with gorilla juice. i dont know about you...but the vortex looks sexy in that picture.
