My stallions have a hitch in their gettyup.

Been getting a off taste today akin to a filler carto when it is done. Figured it was time for a cleaning, but a careful inspection reveals that the coil much to my surprise is not particularly gunked up. The problem actually is that forcing a drip tip in has pushed the filler and its inner support tube down past the coil and is burning. When new, the filler sits just on top of the wick, but now the coil is within the poly tube.

I recall reading that the manufacturer added a bit of filler to address a potential leaking issue. Could this change be why there is not enough void at the top to accept a tradition DT without displacing the filler plug?

Without a drip tip, the vapor is to hot for my liking. So what to do? Guess I can file down a couple of Delrin tips, as a work around. IMO, this is a easy fix and worth the effort because when the filler is in the right position, the Stallion had produced the most consistent, and perhaps the best vape of anything I have tried. And I have tried many lol.

I may be the first to have noticed this, but have no doubt that most using a drip tip will find the same thing. I'm this can get worked out going forward.

If I have time after work tomorrow, I'm going to try pulling out the filler plug and see if it's possible to clean the carto, and replace the filler plug with new material. Let y'all know how that works out.

I just want to say that I'm impressed with these! I got empty ones this first time just to try them, but will get some pre-filled in my next order to try the juices. Anyway, I'm through 2 fills of Gorilla juice in one so far, which is the thickest juice I've ever used (it pours like cheap maple syrup), and so far not a single dry hit! :) I do get an occasional drop of juice that comes up through the included white mouthpiece if I chain-vape (which is always), but no leaking from the bottom yet.

yes this is why we said to use the included rubber one so you can cut it down, but you can use your normal driptip but it will push the filler down. filing down a dp would help alleviate what your experiencing. the stallions never accepted dript p, even at its conseption.

I know you're good at getting manufactures to improve gear Chris. Having to use a cut down rubber tip that will not stay put, or none at all is a bit of a problem. You know how vapers are about their drip tips.

these might be my new favorite carto. I love the that the wicks pull juice up to the top and the filler stays nice and wet. I managed to get all of the sticker off one, pain in the ...., and put it in a tank and im really liking it. Especially since boge's have been complete junk recently.

I notice tanking an XL carto the top of the carto gets bone dry and i can taste it when it happens, the flavor drops off because i think the filler is soaking up some of the vapor. So i end up topping off tanked xl carto's which is completely against the point of a tank. This doesnt happen as bad with normal sized carto's.

Chris and Dan, any chance of getting these in stainless?

I realized another huge thing about the Stallions.

On a normal day with a DCT, ViVi Nova or Stardust I polish off my first 1000mah twist before noon. Most days the second 1000mah twist dies sometime near the end of the workday or as I head for home.

Today (nothing but Stallions all day) my first 1000mah twist dies on the motorcycle on the way home from work. That is damn near 12 hours! And I VAPE a lot! So great flavor and double the battery life! WOW!

I hope we see this with a flange for a tank application. I am temped to punch and strip one and put it in a tank anyway.

I also hope the manufacturer can keep up with the demand of this fine fine piece of e smoke technology.

Can't wait for mine. I should have vape mail tomorrow. I am pretty stoked to try these out.

just got mine loaded up and wow!!!! these things rock!!!! very clean taste and heat and throat hit. loving it so far.
havent totally figured this thing out yet but it seems i cant get too much juice in it. i tried to get a long needle down into it and there seems to be something blocking my attempt at really getting it down there and it seems that i am only getting the top half with the filler full. i will have to do some more experimenting and figure this thing out. i did get all the paper off of one and as soon as i find my tools to cut a hole i am putting it in a tank.

kudos for this one. this could be the "noob tube". I think this is what flavor and th and heat without burning that would get any smoker off of the stinkies. if i had this kinda result when i first quit i would have been in heaven instead of many many frustrating nights of trying to get something to work and going to bed dying to have a nasty.

cheers:vapor::vapor::vapor:

very nice reaction, love to hear that...

The Stallions have more filler than we worked with them on. At the very last minuite as they were ready to ship and they did tests of the first runs off the producttion line they had more leakage than they were comfortale with. So they added more filler to ensure no leaking but we are goign to work with them to see if we can work the filler back down. As is it it has less filler and more loosely packed than a regular carto (whatever you might call 'regular'). But because of this you will probably get maybe 1.4ml of juice in it.

Just got in the mail my order of 1 pack Stallions American Tobacco, I pack Stallions Traditional Tobacco and 1 Pack of 5 empty Stallions. Really looking forward to getting into these but 1 problem. No drip tips, 0. What can I use?
Thanks.

They'll take any drip tip. But like bad said, put the tip in dry to compress the filler before you fill them. Otherwise you'll be pushing juice out when you put it in. He also recommended shortening the silicone ones they have been packaging with the Phoenix's..

Ah, ok Wally, will do. Eager to try these out both for function and flavor. Phoenixes I've got.

Thanks

totally agree..

Put one in a tank...bam! That's where I want these suckers. I want a flange, Pre punched and stainless steel stallion. That's it...that's what I want.

That's where this lives best IMO. But I don't want to be bothered with removing stickers and glue the punching them myself.

Dodari unless you really just like to use drip tips with all yoru cartos its not necessary to use a drip tip for these, I use them simply with the included mouthpiece...I actually prefer that.

Speaking for myself not Dodari, but I use drip tips as a color code to keep track of which juice is which. Also, as I recall Chris said they're top coil and a warmer vape than usual, in which case I'd prefer a drip tip so to get some distance from the heat.
