for my it's not posseble to buy noalax in the netherlands !!!!!!!
now my SB is really hard to get unscrewed can some please help me and tell me what else can i do to make it easier to get it unscrewed ????????????

Just use a little bit of mineral oil lube. You can use a small amount of soap on the threads until you can find some aluminum lubricant.

I tried a peach soap and it made my SB smell fruity. That plus the pink lacy baby sock has me feeling quite feminine.

That might sound negative to some, but I meant it as a positive

No offense to anyone meant here but I refuse to do the baby sock thing.

It just screams "pedophile" to me.

I wrap it in a microfiber cloth and tuck it away in the case I posted about.

I just purchased one of those case logic zip cases you spoke of. I also have a few Oakley sun glass sleeves that work perfectly on the sb and I can wipe the SB without leaving scratches since they're meant to hold and clean the glasses, but the pink lacy baby sock gets more attention, so I use that. I'm going to get my baby sock monogrammed

Can't find Noalox or the LOCTITE aluminum anti-seize stuff anywhere here in Japan. This looks like my best shot.

jboze, You might try to find some marine electrical grease. The automotive antiseize I use for bolts is some NASTY stuff ! good luck.

I was at lowes last night picking up some more surefire throw-aways (damn bats wont be here til thurs) and I remembered that Noalox. I really didn't know how important it was to make sure you have this stuff on the threads- but now I know. I am glad I did before I had any thread problems.

Do you just apply the Noalox once- or do you periodically re-lube the threads? if so how often???

I would say once every one - two weeks, unless you're wiping them down and washing it off Or just any time it is kind of rough to screw on or off ;P

Apply as needed, even when you wipe the threads off there is NOALOX left behind, after time the threads will wear in and the galling will not be much of an issue. Guess I should have not have asked for more precise threads on this past run.
