Why are you so against those that have found something we really like?.....
When someone asks if they should get one I do tell them my opinion of it, should I not do that? I do like it better than anything else I have used, should I not say that?

I am not against anyone liking the Provari. It's more the way that like is portrayed, presented, and passed along to other people that bothers me. In the New Member's forum, I will normally stay out of threads where people are asking about what APV to buy. Can you guess why?

Like everything else; cars, motorcycles, computers, whatever, it's all subjective. chadsmo's opinion is he likes the Prov, Euphonious Nonsense appears to have not enjoyed his experience with it. Everyone has an opinion and someone will disagree with it. That is a fact.

The question is should it be recommended to a brand new user? My opinion is no. However it may be right for this user later on.

Here is an example: I own a Harley and love it dearly. It is not my first bike. My first bike was not a Harley and neither were the next two. Each bike taught me several things about riding and when it came time to buy my latest ride I chose to move up to the big boys club. It is my opinion that a HD is the best motorcycle out there. Believe me when I say that there are other bikers out there that strongly disagree. I wouldn't recommend my HD Ultra Classic to a noobie rider but I might recommend a Sportster.

Yes I ordered a vamo. It will meet my needs at a price that leaves me enough budget for other gear I need to get myself where I want to be vaping wise. I also found the directions for building a puck mod. I am thinking about getting a college friend of mine (who is an electrical engineer) to build me a couple 3 of them. Why? It is dead simple and does the job. These I could leave in strategic places around the house and not be chained to my PV 24/7.

I own a ProVari, and love it. I wouldn't recommend it to a new user however. Probably should start with an eGo Twist or Spinner to figure out the whole VV thing. I would suggest a ProVari as an upgrade however.

I'll be honest...I didn't read this whole thread. I wouldn't call myself a fanboy, as I don't really protect my ProVari with a fiery passion....what works for me, may not be for you. I also have a CCTS that I love.

The term "best" in this hobby...is very subjective. People need to understand that.

Seriously Scoop I didn't buy the provari for some very basic reasons. FIrst I really wanted variable wattage and I think that will fit my vaping style better than variable voltage alone. Second although I could have afforded the $200 for the provari it would have blasted my budget for the next month. At $60 the Vamo will allow me to get my DIY going and an AGA-T + rebuilding supplies. Remember I AM a fairly new vaper I am still getting myself set up on multiple fronts.

I doubt you would disagree that the Vamo is a step up from my ego-Cs or that the battery life will be much improved on it. Hurricane season is coming down here. I needed something with changeable batteries in case of a typical 3-4 day power failure. Going out to the car to charge and ego-C isn't really an option in a hurricane.

I have 2 Vamos. One just died. When working, they were really good and worked well with the AGAs. I just hated that the latest one I bought last month, preordered.... So it should have been the latest version...had the center pin come loose and won't read/fire an atty at all now... So that $$ was basically wasted. The other one I have still works fine.
