I haven't told my vv3's yet, but they are about to be retired. They won't be happy about it, but they can blame Capt Shay. Had he not posted the new tricked out Energy Series MVP's I would have never bought one and would have been blissfully ignorant with my handful of vv3's.

I simply love the MVP. The battery life is phenomenal and I know I never have to worry about running out of charge during the day. I purchased a standard blue one last night and when it arrives, the vv3's will officially be relegated to the drawer as spares or given to my friends as Pay It Forwards.

I knew it was inevitable when yesterday I was sitting at my desk at work, with the vv3 on the desk and I was looking forward to leaving because I knew once I got home, I could break out the MVP waiting for me..... It was the first thing I did when I walked through the door. Go straight home, put the VV3 on charge, take off the tank and substitute in the MVP.

I don't know what it is. The units should vape identically but they don't. I think the vv3 feels just a bit under powered. I was tempted by the siren song of the Provari again last night and just couldn't complete the transaction knowing it's not variable wattage. With 2 MVP's I will only need to charge one every 4 days at minimum, and I know they are SOLID. I love how it feels in my hand, and I've even come to terms with the wonky way you adjust voltage and wattage (vv3 still does that much better.)

With my two MVP's in rotation, it should be plenty of time for Provape to develop variable wattage. Fan boys say it won't happen, but I think the market will dictate that they have no choice. It's also nice not to have to deal with external charger. Yes, it's disposable, so is an I-Phone. The price, performance and convenience of this product is unparalleled.

Totally agree o. opus.

The only other firing device I am slightly interested in would be some sort of mech. I see videos with these people blowing out fog banks. Just a mech and about 50% are clearos.

Would only be out of curiosity, but probably won't happen. MVP 2 is the avp for me.

Same here. My philosophy is, the MVP (and any other APV) is just the power source, essentially. And MVP does it right for me, checks all the boxes for me, so to speak. I'd rather spend my money (the little that I have) on learning to coil, experimenting with dripping, maybe checking out cartos. Or saving my money, and enjoying what I've got--darn near perfection (IMO).

LOL, I blame him, too. Shame on you, Capt Shay! Now I am the proud owner of 3 MVPs. Yes, three, and I've only been vaping for about 3 weeks. What can I say, except I like what I like, and have zero impulse control...

I'm pretty sure that I read that the MVP's actual power output is somewhat higher than the set value. So it may be that the MVP is overpowered and not that the VV is underpowered. If a device outputs 8.5W when it's set at 8W, that's not more powerful, that's poor accuracy. OK, I admit it, now I'm just stirring the pot.

Actually, one reviewer, Paul Brizrio (sp?) reported the measured output was slightly lower than what the MVP said it was putting out (MVP v1)

This is true, Pbusardo shows this in his reviews. However, I tried both on VV mode to make sure it wasn't in my mind. I guess maybe I simply like the piece of mind that when I leave home with a fully charged MVP in my pocket, I know I am good for the entire day. I also know I'm good for the following day....

I was all set to use the vv3 in passthrough mode while at work, but then read how parasitic loads just kill a LiIon battery. So that discouraged me from that.

I don't notice it. I can check battery charge by clicking the P and U buttons simultaneously.

pbusardo's video on the MVP 1 shows about a .2 voltage drop between a unit that's fully charged and one that's in the red.

When I push mine it says A2.1......any idea what this means?OOr what would a full charge read? thank you!

You have to hold both buttons down to get the current battery voltage. First it will show the A2.1 but keep holding the buttons down and it will show 3.8 or whatever the current charge is.

thank you. i feel stupid but how do i change ohms? whats a good number?

Don't feel stupid you learn like we all did by asking.

Your ohms are dictated by your coil head. They can only be changed by replacing that with another, or of course rebuilding yourself. The volts or wattage can be changed by holding the P button until P whatever number shows up and continually pressing until you get to a wattage you like the same applies for voltage via the U button.

One doesn't effect the other, as in whichever one you set last is what the device will be running. Wattage and voltage run independently not together. Hope that helped and wasn't too confusing
