Its been said before and I myself was taken to task over this... but there is yet to be one case of a proven counterfit or cloned MVP. fasttech and others bought large quantities of the MVP through third parties or shell companies. innokin has a huge markup on these and they want the price set and will not allow authorized dealers to set a lower price. That is why you see so many discounts etc because they cant just outright lower the price. They use the authenticity seals as a means to control prices. If non-authentic MVPs exist lets see the pics/proof.

Here is my take. The authorized vendors cannot discount to retail. But they can to resellers. The low price places are buying from vendors and reselling. Everyone makes money and we get a better price. But if you get a bad one, it gets iffy.

I agree. However keep in mind these are still at the whim of the factory where they are produced. Nike had a problem years ago. Nike shoes produced in a Nike plant, that were completed and defective, were sold out the back door instead of being destroyed. Many SVD problems have been reported. This could be the same situation. Are they authentic? Sure. Just rejects.

And pigs could fly, if they had wings. The scratch and sniff code is on the box. Rejects don't make it to boxing and even if they did, the code is on the box and not the product so it would still pass for authenticity. There has never, ever, been a case of this being reported. Your point about the SVD is even more obtuse. That is just something that one imagines "could" happen, much like pigs with wings.

There has never been a legitimate case of a non-authentic MVP reported. Ever. Period.

You would go to the vendor not Innokin if you have a problem. Lets say by some, so far unheard of instance, you have an non-working, non-authentic MVP. You would not return it to Innokin, you would return it to the vendor and the vendor knows what he sold you. Once again the point is mute.

I don't know why this issue bothers me so much, but it does :) I just think it is a corporate con game and it bothers me when someone I'm handing my money to tries to manipulate me. You better be giving me more than a vape if you want to manipulate ME!

And since many online retailers are running out of stock and ebay seems to be the place to go for goo deals we need a list of reputable ebay sellers selling authentic MVP2's. That way no one gets ripped off. Should we have a new thread??? Maybe have the OP edit the original post with a list?? Suggestions????

The best deal changes day to day. Stocks fluctuate greatly. If we started a list, we would have to update it constantly. I think the best way for folks to find "the" deal on the MVP is the same way you did, ask here :)

I meant more reputable eBay vape sellers. Not necessarily the best current deals. This could help people weed out the good from the bad when browsing eBay for any vape supplies.

I knew it did some sort of damage to your battery / mod. Good to know!! I can't say how much I love this device. I even tried vaping my EVOD 1100 mAH. Same juice, same voltage (3.7) but the vapor just wasn't there and the taste wasn't as full either.

Definitely thinking about another one, but also thinking of getting a mechanical after I do some more research. Decided to take baby steps first to understand VV/Vans what it can do for a juice.

I've noticed the same thing. Things just don't seem to taste as good on ego batteries!

Well, the scratch code is on the box. Ok. But what's it take to make a sticker like that? Not much. I checked mine more than once. Says authentic each time. Which means all someone needs is one code. They can make as many stickers as they like. Don't have to have different code.

Sweet. May get that for my gf. Variable wattage won't make that much difference to her. Any other differences between the 1 and 2. And is this a reputable seller?

Fire Button is flush mount to the device so it may be a bit hard to find....also the switch on the bottom of the device is not flush mount so it will wobble.

LED is red instead of blue, but at least voltage can be changed up AND DOWN.

No built in ohm meter. She'll have to use yours to check her resistance if she so desires. Otherwise start low and adjust to taste.

EDIT: Some early V1's had no eGo cone threading and were 510 only. They later came out with a 1.5 (although not officially named that) mid production that added eGo threading to the connector. Check with reseller if it has eGo threads or not if your gf uses mini protanks, evods, etc....

Thanks for the info. She will be using Kanger T2's all 2.1 so it will be set it and forget type of thing. But the revision has me worried because it would have to have ego. Guess I will contact them later when I get home.

I clicked on the link. I had to laugh at the classy signage they have above the MVP in the Photo:laugh: Dosen't mean any thing but I found it kind of funny. Good price. You can get them right around $40 delivered if you hit the right deals.

Child labor is illegal! He should be reported for having a three year old doing signage.
