You are about to hit a serious plateau with the MVP. For a lot of people, the journey ends here. Not that it is a bad thing to keep going but once you have the MVP and a rebuildiable the only reason you really need to continue is for the hobby end of things. An all day plus battery life, VV/VW, great from factor, the MVP really has it all!

Welcome, heres your sign!

I completely agree. For me the next was safe .5 sub ohm on a Mech with a dual coil setup. The flavor is night and day. the juices I enjoy with MVP and KFL are not the same I use for dripping with a hot vape on the Mech and Patriot clone. The fruits I love with KFL are too intense on the Mech. I love the deserts at that range...clouds and flavor that rises to the top of the tip that adds to the experience IMHO.

I still only have the one mech , but starting to really like the hammer with an all gold set up [emoji122]

Been using my MVP 2 for a couple days now without charging it, and the battery is still at 3.8 :thumb: this thing is awesome :D

Oh and I bought a cell phone holster from the dollar store yesterday to use for carrying the MVP. All I had to do was modify it a bit so that I could put the MVP in while there was a tank attached (yes I realize my sewing is ugly ).

It's got a little room inside the case on each side of the MVP, but it's snug enough that it doesn't move on it's own. I haven't taken it anywhere yet, as I just modified it last night, but it seems like it's going to work just fine, especially considering it was only $1.09 :)

Hey all, I defer to the experts here. Got a problem with my MVP2, had it about 6 months now, never a problem. Since I got my Nautilus tank started experiencing a problem that I've searched and haven't found anyone mention.

Lately when I fire the mvp, it works "sporadically" at best with the nautilus. I fire it at 3.9 or 4.0 and the puff counter goes up (normally), then all of a sudden I notice a "cold hit". Check the volts and the puff counter is reset to zero (without turning the unit off) and the volts have reset (by themselves) to 3.5, so I started watching it carefully after resetting the volts to 3.9. What I notice when I "catch it" is the lcd panel flashes "888" then a 1 = 1 (but it isn't an = sign, more of a three lined equal sign--cant type it to show, but picture three horizontal lines instead of two) and the puff counter goes to zero and the volts go back to 3.5, all by itself. I reset it back up and eventually it will go back down.

I replaced the nautilus with a davide head and no problems, fired all night without auto-resetting itself, put the nautilus back on (after checking to make sure the head was still on tight) and it played nice this morning for about a half hour and then I got the cold, 3.5 hit again and the puff counter reset.

I am truly befuddled here. It's not completely cutting off, but rather resetting itself, and those weird numbers...888 and 1=1 are new to me. Any advice????? Thanks,

Does the fire button blink green a bunch of times? It sounds like the MVP is reading a dead short in the Nautilus.

bummer Style, has any juice leaked onto the MVP pin? I guess it could be a short in the topper. Try a new coil and see if that fixes it. If not, I would see if you could take thee topper back. If you cannot, use a different topper.

Others here will have some more knowledge on this.

Thanks guys for the quick replies...no, no juice has leaked (but I will pull the nautilus and clean the mvp...usually do that every time I am rebuilding coils just to keep stuff clean anyway) It could very well be the naut. head, I have noticed when I refill it, it is "fineky" when replacing on the mvp, sometimes the head reads 0.0, then fiddle with it and it returns to 1.7. I pulled the nautilus head and put it on the ohm checker and it does indeed read 1.7, but sometimes reattaching it to the mvp is a challenge. I hope it is truly a nautilus issue rather than the mvp (easier to replace..lol) but I was concerned about those 888 and 1=1 numbers...never seen that before and just wondered if anyone else had! Any more comments will be appreciated (you know, more chefs in the kitchen...lol)

Is this one that you recoiled? With some coil heads, the rubber insulator can get squished a little and move the coil lead wires, sometimes causing a short.

No, the one in now is still an original. Got a few I have rebuilt but haven't run them in it yet, so maybe try another head....Hopefully it is just a "head issue" and everything will be lovely once again!!!!!

Anyone ever have those weird numbers/signs on the display.??? I have gotten a "non" with a bad head, but never this.

I know I have read about the "888" error before, but I can't remember where or what it meant unfortunately (never heard of the 1=1 you described). I'm sure someone will eventually come in with the answer, but if not I hope the others are correct and it's just a problem with the coil and not your device.

I did find these pictures in another ECF thread, but they didn't know what the error codes meant...

Yup, that's what mine is doing. But it is sporadic, since I posted this problem, the mvp is firing fine, but it did "that" twice just before it, so it comes and goes.....got to be a head issue. But thank you for posting the pics, at least I know I'm not going crazy, seeing things....!!! Hopefully we can figure this out. I will go change heads in a bit (even though it seems ok now) and see if that stops this crap. Will post later. Thanks again!

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
I do 7 wraps of 30 gauge Kanthal around a 5/64" bit (actually an Allen wrench because I lost my drill bit) and it comes out at 1.6-ish. Works great for me. I squeeze the coil together before I install it, but I don't do the dry burn/pinch thing because it doesn't cover as much wick when it's super-compacted like that (and hopefully that made sense.)

FWIW, here's a great set of vaping-related calculators, including one for coil wrapping.

I have been doing tons of research on how different diameters for wrapping coils perform and what the differences are , unfortunately despite what some people experience i have been unable to notice much if any differences at all, from say wrapping around a 1/16th drill bit or a 5/64, 3/32 or even a 7/64 .

Actually, it seems a tightly wrapped coil around a 1/16 or even smaller produces just as well as the larger diameters despite being able to use more wick on the larger ones.

I also have a hard time telling whether a tightly packed coil performs better than one which has more spacing ( like most factory heads come with) i guess you can say i wouldn't be a good evaluator for a Company looking for feedback lol.

I think i will stick with the micro coils until i can prove larger is better .

-Innokin is a BIG technology company
-ECF is the biggest / most popular e cig forum on the ww web
you’re gonna try and lead me to believe they don’t surf, look, monitor
ALL THAT GOES ON in here and wherever it could benefit them...

(and yes I know about the easter bunny & tooth fairy)
I envision Innokin HQ looks like ESPN with all the football games
on multiple monitors in one room…

{bonus info}
I noticed a few weeks ago Innokin changed Logos

We proudly introduce to you the new image of Innokin!!
This new logo embodies the qualities which the Innokin brand represents:
Power, Quality, Style, Innovation and the total Love of Vaping.

It is Innokin’s 3rd Anniversary and in the next year we are going to be introducing many absolutely amazing new products.
Mods and tanks that are entirely new and totally revolutionary, and upgrades that are undeniably the best of the next generation.

We sincerely thank you and the rest of the international Innokin community for being so amazing.

From all of us at Innokin we promise that, with your support, Innokin will continue to be Leading the Future of Vaping.

I don't think there's any question as to whether Innokin and other big time manufacturers monitor these sites , of course they do but getting them to admit it is another matter.

Most large successful Companies do not comment and will not reveal they are following forums but they definitely do .

Can't wait to see what they come out with , they sound very confident for sure and with the runaway success and dominance the MVP product has provided them why not.

I got a bunch of cell phone cases but i added a cover that you pop over the tank so when i am in stores etc... it doesn't look odd lol. It looks like a phone and antenna , can't find it though dang it.

You got that case from the dollar store? Looks good.

Love my VV V3, but batt life is too short for this chain vaper ;)

Not Innokin...but how about 2000 mAh?

ARO VV/VW 2000mAh Winder Batteries

yep i got quite a few drip-tips i guess about 20 or so

Saw a "Clearomizer Tree" once (to have multiple clearomizers handy)...but still looking for a "Drip Tip Tree" (say with 10-30 "branches").

So today I ordered the MVP v2 and have been researching rebuildables.

Have you looked at the eXpromizer...a mixture of the Kayfun and Taifun GT?

eXpromizer by eXvape-THE Kayfun KILLER! :

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3YFtV52ONGE

It's $67 (including shipping by air)...Paypal does the Euro=>$ conversion.

eXvape

some new stuff from our kin, @ Innokin

The iTaste CLK!
- Innokin iTaste CLK Starter Kit
an 800mah eGo, but with USB charge and passthrough.

Interesting...

VV V3: $25.99, 800mAh, USB Charge, Passthrough, VV, VW, Ohms Meter, Remaining Battery V's Reading, square

CLK: $49.99, 800mAh, USB Charge, Passthrough, VV, NO VW, NO Ohms Meter, NO Remaining Battery V's Reading, round

So...basically...if I'm willing to give up VW, an Ohms Reader and Remaining Battery V's Reading...and pay an extra $24...I'll be able to get a VV V3 that will roll off my desk!!!

You inspired me to check out the dollar store (Dollar Tree) and they had these also. Hey, for a buck+tax, I grabbed one. Got home and tried it out. It fits the MVP almost like it was made for it. The space on the side is big enough for a Protank 3 mini. I wish it had a magnet instead of a snap but no big deal

Thanks for the tip!

Bellow 1.2 doesn't really do us any good with the MVP as we don't have the volts to push them.

I keep hearing this..and I've seen the logic/math proving it but my own experiences do not agree with it. I can tell a very clear difference between .8 and .9 and 1 and so on with my coils on my mvp. Granted I keep it set at 11 w/5 v, but there is a very clear difference. I think at lower ohms people discount the mvp, but it does a great job for me at lower ohms (with .8 being the limit).

I mean do what you like, and so will I. But just try to let others try what they like.. (just afraid people might read posts like that and not try to attempt lower ohms)

Edited to add my experience w low ohms is with rdas. Heck I don't even like tanks now.
