Ucliker - just got a kayfun lite that is now sitting atop my MVP2. Built a 1.9ohm coil and running MVP at 8W. Getting doggone good flavor and pretty decent vapor. Next build, I'll try for about 1.7ohms. Scored the MVP from 101vape and the clone from fasttech. I don't know that I'll sub-ohm. Not sure, but for now, I'm pretty amused with what I have for now (ha ha ha ha)

right now I’m vaping a
2.6Ω / 34ga 4wraps around a small nail (3/64?)
new silicone insulator (from lightning vapes)
cotton yarn inside / cotton yarn as flavor wicks,
in a kanger coil body
all inside one of these -

- $3.32 RGM2 Bottom Coil Clearomizer (2.0mL) - glass tank / 2.2ohm at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

:)

I have some silicone insulators but they seem to cause more contact issues with the pin on Pro Tank head's .

After screwing in the PT head the bottom pin seems to be a hair short and doesn't protrude far enough to make contact, the silicone ones seem a bit too soft , the rubber ones make contact though.

I have not noticed a difference when using flavor wicks over just the standard wick , whats your secret?

I got mediocre vapor on my FT Kayfun clone at first as well but when i used a micro coil at 1.2 wow, what a difference, airflow makes a considerable difference in cloud production but not in taste imo .

just got my mvp, and its smaller than I thought. Fast shipping from ft, but the svd I ordered the day before is still in "transit". So Singapore Post beat china post.

Using it with aerotank, and soon the mega version. So far I like it, not as comfortable as the spinners in the beginning.

First time i ever heard that before lol, the MVP can be had for under $40.00 , Fast Tech has good prices on most things but not everything , the MVP being one of them.

well I ‘sized’ my insulators up and they are identical
just don’t push them in to far & and same with center pin
biggest deal for me is they “Slip In” waaaay easier…

just the ‘slang’ all the cool kids call them flavor wicks
I consider them storage and isolators and no secret
I just only use yarn – twist it up and thread it into coil
then lay what I think will work over top so no shorts
(I've even let one side very long and just folded it back over and click chimney on)

lot of heavy thick wick for thin juices and a topper with good draw;
thick juice and/or tight draw, just enuff wick to protect

bonus material:
have one of those circuit board spacers in my MVP (2-3weeks)
what a big diff – all my toppers that required a little xtra love to connect
no longer require any at all – great idea - them those are...

:)

:tumble:

humming, tapping toe, hands in pockets, blade of grass in my mouth

…wonder if these would fill the gap left over
in a bdc, if you swapped in a bcc coil ?

This is probably the best place to ask this, I'm thinking about upgrading to a mvp v2 from a vv kangertech (ego twist basically) I keep getting mixed answers on other forums since the max wattage is 11. My goal is to get a kayfun for the mvp, since I'm tired of kanger coils being so inconsistent. Why is having only 11 watts a bad thing? I don't plan on sub-ohming. Does anyone have an mvp with a kayfun? Does it work well?

I'm by no means an extreme vaper. Long ago I settled in at 10 watts. Running a Kayfun @ 2.2 ohm and a Russian @ 1.4 ohm on the MVP2 @ said 10 watts with no complaints. That's why I like VW, the device does the thinking for me :). I am kinda curious why the Russian dropped from 2.0 to 1.4 after the last rewick, but not enough to pull it apart again.

I want to clarify that the 28 gauge only works and heats up fast enough when using a 1/16th drill bit imo , anything larger and the heat up is too slow for good results with the MVP.

I am going to try 32 again , i don't have 34 .

My complaint with 32 gauge (1/16 screwdriver) is that it waits 'til I'm tightening down the screws to break right at the coil! I'm gonna try 30 gauge next just because of that. Then again I'm not sure if I don't create my own problems. Being left handed I've some how come to the conclusion that I have to wrap coils underhand for things to work out right. I have no idea if this is true...

Update . Got mine about a week ago. Love it. So, I'm down in Fla to visit friends and family. Old friend haven't seen in years ( the guy who always tries to one up you) had started vaping about a month ago, great right? "Here come check my stuff out, I've got the best device you can get" (eye roll) So he shows me mods, he's got a Tesla and some other baseball bats. Couple of pro tanks and some other vape shop clones. 24 nic gas station juices. ( This is a guy driving a Benz mind you) Takes a couple of drags and passes it. Not bad. "here Mike try this"I say. Hand him my MVP with a iclear30 and some Ahlusion strawberry vanilla cake @6 nic . I can't describe the look!!! Spent the rest of the night ordering juice and an MVP

Can I get an AMEN

I went from 32 to 30 just because I kept breaking the 32's.. And 28 takes too long to heat on the MVP. I reserve 28 for the VAMO's and Mechs.

Lefty here. My RSST coils I wind my normal direction but found that AGA-T2 need to be wound the opposite direction to line up the leads with the mount locations with a vertical coil over the wick hole. I use 30ga 6 over for 1.5-1.7Ω on a 5/64 drill.
