Me two! Reading about how itz created makes me kinda wary. Especially since it's not "supposed" to be used for human consumption there would be no safeguards as to how it's made. There are some mean chemicals involved in the process.

yea sorta got me wondering, the sample i'm gettin i'm gonna at least boil it twice before trying it

you might want to wait until the dust settles in-case any of us Ginni-pigs fall over dead :D

just kiddin!

I think of you guys as "Canaries in the vaping community coal mine", but Ginni-pigs work too.

I'm just gonna sit back and watch ya'll with your sub-ohming and your rayon [emoji41] Lol

You crazy kids with all your fancy elctro gadgets! Back in my day, we rolled up dried, chopped up tobacco leaves in rice paper, lit the end of it and sucked the smoke out then coughed our freaking lungs up all day!
and we liked it.jpg

the Aspire Nautilus mini (really it's the new vertical coil) will probably suck me back into clearo land for another try. Could this be the next generation of my beloved carto tanks?!?!

The Aspire Nautilus Mini is HEAVENLY - YouTube

Thanks for the link!!!

Got an Aspire Nautilus (with the "old" heads) on a Deal of the Day. Disappointed (couldn't compare with my CartoTanks) => put it in my "back-up" drawer.

Now...figure I'll get some BVC's (since they're "backwards compatible") and give the ol' Nautilus another try. (I mean...he says they're "equal to or better than a Kayfun"!!??!!)

Aspire Bottom Vertical Coil (BVC) 5 piece

I got the Vtr from rakuken.com for 40.51 with the visa check out $10 off plus free shipping. So good deal so far Will post when received.

The Visa thing is get $10 off over $30 when you use a Visa to pay..

Can't see anything about that on rakuten.com. How, exactly, do you get $10 off when using your Visa card???

How do you like it so far? I tried one at a B&M with my .6 ohm Stillare and it wouldn't fire correctly, only got a couple hits and then it wouldn't read my RDA. Let me know what you experience. I think I am going for the new IPV 50 watt ( it takes me forever to make these decisions ;) I will make my mind up over the next couple weeks.

Still loving my MVP though, full of 6mg nic Ecto cooler goodness at 1.3ohms on the always dependable Kayfun lite.

Wow! 30 guage 9 wraps; you cats werent kidding this ..... is the truth! Hits harder than the Aerotank Mega I just bought with new head, and thats dual bottom coil! Currently at 9 watts and working up. I really like how flexible the Protank 2 is.

I think ill end up going to 8 wraps on 30 guage- it takes a solid 3-4 seconds to get warm if its sat awhile, and my resistance is showing 2.1. If im chain vaping though, it keeps up and stays producing. In line with many recommendations here ill aim for 1.5-1.8. That should give me a slightly quicker warm up time (less overall thermal mass with less wire as luke213 pointed out and DingerCPA confirmed).

Midnightoyl, luke213, b.m., DingerCPA, herb and KTMRider- thanks very much for the replies!

something is wrong with the device or the RDA or the RDA wasn't screwed in far enough to make good contact, the Cloupor will fire down to 0.3 but when it's that low it fires directly off the battery and will not read resistance of the Atty (maybe the battery level was low).....but at 0.6 with a decent batt charge it should have worked fine.

I guess I'll keep running my T3S 3ml single coils on my MVP....love this thing (my first box MOD)!

After getting my first CartoTank...I've been replacing my Clearomizers with CartoTanks...except for my T3S's.

pufZeppelin posted a link for the HyperTank 2...which is Pyrex and 5 ml....and uses the same coils as the T3S.

I love my MVP. I will use it until it dies. That said, the Cana is pretty dang boss.

I generally run a 2ohm kayfun at 4.2v, or a 1.4ohm dripper at 5v on my MVP. I tossed my dripper on the cana and bumped the wattage to hit 5v... Let's just say that the cana has shown the 'weakness' of the MVP.

Again, I really do love my MVP. And I thoroughly understand the limitations of the chipset. The cana is just in a whole other ballpark.

Because I'm a glutton though, I am also ordering an ipv2.

even fired it with a 28.5 atty, just for the heck of it....firing straight off the battery @ 0.44....wanted to see if it would fire and it did but i don't recommend using that low of a resistance.....i usually stay between 0.7 & 1.3

Well, I think ive found my preference thanks to you folks. Running 30 guage 8 wraps (over 1/16th drill bit). Heats up pretty quick, hits strong, seems to chain vape well, and the taste is incredible. It makes the Aerotank Mega taste like im sucking air in comparison.

How much cotton do you guys put in for wicks? I think I might have a little too much; I put the cotton in where its a snug pull, then pull it back and forth until it slides easily- does this sound right?

Hopefully I can stop myself from wiring coils/doing wicks and actually get around to vaping for more than 5 minutes :D

you want to play with the amount of cotton you use, but any tight spots inside the coil will burn, some make the ends of the cotton bigger (more) and keep it pull thru inside the coil in the middle...also your jooze well depends on how much to use, try different configurations and you can put a small amount rite under the coil also, just push it under with a small screwdriver.......make sure to keep the coil height even and centered with your air-holes, always helps with taste.....but you prob already know this, enjoy man!

edit: my bad i thought you were doing RDA's, guess i better get my glasses on
