>>> Puf, are those glass tanks?

has anyone herd from donesmokin?

>>> Sando, he had a pic up a couple days ago - looked like he got a new mod (DNA30?)

Found myself 3 flavours I absolutely love, red bull rhubarb and custard and jäger bomb no cigs for 2 days now looks like I may have cracked it!!!! Yes I sometimes still want one but I just do something else and vape

>>> Withdrewandi, YAY for you :) If you're mind is set to quit, you will be able to do it. It took me 3-1/2 years from when I started dabbling with e-cigs before I was finally able to slay the dragon. Now, it's as much a hobby as it is a means to not smoke a cigarette :) If ya ever need a morale boost, this is the place to get it!

Yup, yup. Whatever works for you.

But IMHO... if you really feel like a smoke and grab a vape instead to make the craving subside... yer doin it wrong.

As I keep saying, after 54 years of smoking 3 packs a day and never wanting to quit... I got lucky and the FIRST juice I tried instantly cured me of smoking. Never smoked again. Well, ok, in a month or so I had maybe 2 analogs. And they were horrible. Just had to try to see the difference.

With the right juice (and with a gazillion out there, there is one for you) quitiing can/should be instant. The key is the right juice.

Your way worked for you. That certainly isn't the way it worked for me. No way of doing it is wrong. Just so long as you do it

.....@Susaz, thanks for sharing.....guess it makes me realize the importance of our freedom's here in the States and how precious they really are.....yet the FDA is working on that rite now and not in a good way.......if there was any way you could make your own jooze i would check into it, it could save you a bundle.....have a great day.

Tried it in the past... I'm a good cook but not a great alchemist. My liquids were downright disgusting ;)

I'm a smoker from all of my life. Started at 15, I'm 51 now, and I'll never get past the taste of the paper on my lips, the click of the lighter as it ignites, the crackle of tobacco igniting. It'll kill me, that's for sure. Yesterday I found a cigarette in a lost drawer, checked my beloved Dupont having gas, but I didn't smoke it. It's nearby. I built the KF with a 1.5 ohm coil instead. I know it's there though...

I agree with just do it! :)

Thing is, IF you find the right combo right from the start... that is, find something that tastes better than an analog.... yer golden. But It is true. It's trial and error. I just got realllllly lucky. Most don't.

So maybe my wording was mis-leading. True, you can't do it wrong. Some just haven't hit what's right for them yet.

And FWIW, I rarely use baccy flavors.

Lots of stuff in ciggy's that we became addicted to....Vaping addresses Nicotine, the biggest beast in the room but lots of other Chemicals call our names. I'm lucky that I was able to get away from cigs fairly easy but alot of people have a tougher time. Heck only about Half the smokers I've turned on to vaping have stuck with it.It just didn't work for some... I just pray that vaping is still around, fairly unobstructed, next year @ this time.

There most certainly are other things there. I wanted to quit. I wanted to quit bad. Still, with vaping enough nic. in flavors that are still my favorites today, that monkey tore at my back for months. I'm ok with it now because I really do like my vape better than an analog and I know firmly in my mind there is no going back. But still....... even today I'll snitch maybe one a month just because, and it definitely lights up some pleasure sensations that nic. alone cannot :)

A little story on vaping in Argentina:

At first a couple of companies were importing, but the ANMAT (argentine FDA) considered them medical devices that should be sold in pharmacies. Also deemed nicotine as a pesticide and it's forbidden here (patches, gums and pills aren't). One day, talking to one of ANMAT doctors said "We prohibited it because other countries did". They don't have a mind of their own. Even OTC medicines nowadays are back behind the counter once again (even aspirin! but not body builders proteins).
To top it off, the country has a dollar cash flow and prohibited buys from abroad. We can only buy twice a year, 25 dollars max. So that makes getting supplies difficult.
I have hardware from last year (had made a good stash of heads, clearos and rebuildables) and I'm getting liquid from a local store, expensive, but I'm getting. To top it off, I had a heart attack last may and have to go on vaping no matter what. Either this or quitting althogether.

I've searched for the little screw, I think the pass is broken. I'm planning a big buy in a few months, and I'll make sure to include a KF lite, not to fuss with the screw. I'll find a way around it eventually, but vapes well with Duramax in the hole...
That really sucks! Its sort of "convenient" that stuff like this seems to be happening all over the world. Its illegal to vape in Singapore for instance (yet you can still smoke). Now the stuff with the FDA... Its great you quit though :) Good thing about the vape is you can make the equipment and juice by visiting a pharmacy and a hardware store (if mechs are an option).

donesmokin- you still around man?

I remember being worried that vaping wouldnt work from me- the first juice I got was just terrible for me. It was a tobacco flavored one. I suppose im lucky the 3rd and 4th juices Ive tried I ended up liking.

Ive also noticed something else- I havent had a single juice I liked right from the start. For the 2 I now like, I had to let it "grow on me". At first they were tolerable, but now I genuinely like them. Must be in line with the same reason we end up getting "vape tongue" if we use one liquid too long..

found vaping, like two days later I NO LONGER SMOKED, just like that...

about two weeks or so from qwitting/start vaping, I found a stash of cigs, laffed and
threw them aside, minutes later I wondered what the taste would be like now,
so I lit one and “oh, the horror” – but I don’t consider that smoking (just tasting)

maybe 2 months into vaping, seen a cig lying and wondered ?, couldn’t find a lighter, didn’t care...

I still seek the tobacco flavors, even tho with some sweets in them, but others are only
good for a short time, then back to the RY4 style – 43 yrs of 2,3,4 packs a day will
instill that in ones mind I guess… (I’ll never go back)

our many stories... :vapor:

i bought an airflow control adapter the day i bought my MVP, stuck it on and it's been there every-since, never had a prob, yet anyway........originally bought it to save my threads and to keep jooze out of the 510 connection....saving the pin was an extra bonus....so whatever works...just do-it :vapor:

was also gonna buy a airflow control adapter , for the threads, just never did…

yepper, once you get past the “Ghost Effects”, getting the ‘nic’ into your system
will be your only challenge, - then, let the hobby begin…

good gear & good juice will always beat out stinkies...

Strangely, I hated the tobacco flavors straight away. I knew from the moment I started "you want the fruity flavors" and indeed thats the ones Ive liked.

I have a new flavor Im hoping ill like- Hawaiian Punch. I had it mixed at a B&M vape store and let it steep in the car for 2 days- been really wanting to try it. Heres hoping its a 3rd flavor I like.

I think it was like a week after quitting smokes I took a puff off a half-pack I still had laying around. Gross! As I mentioned earlier I threw the pack out (and the cig I took a puff off of). I think for newcomers the most important thing is finding a good juice. If theyre here theyve already found a great mod...

Yeah, like everyone I started my search for tobacco flavors. Long story short... rarely use baccy flavs. I have a 555 from mountain oak that's really not bad. I keep some in a vv3 and hit it now and then. But one tank of that lasts me a few weeks. Kinda use if for nostalgia purposes! ;) `

Even when I found a couple ADV's early on I still didn't quit searching for that one "better" flavor. No idea why! Prolly just curiosity. :)

I have a couple good chocolates and a pina colada I like. But I also have... mebbe a dozen or more on the shelf I'm not really fond of. I was ahead long ago and shoulda quit looking then. LOL

I was pretty much the same.I knew i really wanted to quit,so i picked up an ego starter kit and a bottle of juice on a friday after work, figured that way i had the weekend to fight through it.Surprisingly, all friday evening i didn't get any cravings,i just kept my ego glued to my lips haha, but it worked, saturday morning was really rough, after 25 years of that first cigarette in the morning, that urge was too strong,so i smoked 1,then after that i was done with them.I didn't get any more cravings, and i was happy, then it happened.I kept my ego in my pocket while at work, and it broke early in the day,i didn't have any back up devices back then. After a few hours i was going nuts,so a coworker gave me a few cigarettes to get me through the day,and my god that was the foulest taste i have ever had haha. After a few weeks of not smoking, then you get that taste,it really makes you wonder how you ever got started in the first place, because if they would have tasted like that my first time,i never would have smoked another.
