So let's hypothetically say I like 7.5w. Will I have to set it to that every time I turn it on?

Set it to 7.5 watts on one coil and if will be the same on all your coils, whether they are 1.8 or 2.5 ohm. Something that people do not understand is that it is VV or VW... When you set it to VW mode, it does the math (volts x volts / resistance = watts or "power") it is not both. All VW does is do the math for you. You can do the same thing with any VV Spinner if you know the math and the resistance of your coil.

Additionally, you will find you like different settings for different coils depending on the gauge of wire you used to rebuild them and what you used for the wick as well as what juice you are vaping on that coil. I also find that the temperature plays a big part in it as well. If it's cold I turn it down because my juice won't wick well. If it's hot, I can crank it up to a higher power.

No, it remembers all settings EXCEPT the Puff counter when you 3 clk it off/on

but hypothetically, why would ANYONE ever turn off their MVP !

I reset the puff counter every time I recharge because I sometimes forget how long since I last charged. A green light with 800 puffs is different than one with 200 puffs. And yes I know I can use the battery meter but I have a lil OCD.

Gotta be my favorite device so far. Basically the thing I wanted when I first started vaping in 2010. Not a huge fan of the iClear 30, however. Thought it was awesome at first until I read a thread about it leaking. I think the iClear was reading over my shoulder because it immediately starting getting gurgly and leaking out the bottom for the first time in the week I'd been using it. Sigh.

I got an eVod for it and it's been working very well. Went ahead and ordered a few more of the bottom coil variations from Fasttech. $25 for four different tanks a 10 replacement heads. Hard to beat.

HaHa same thing here - was north of 850 when new (shooting for 999) and forgot

around 400-450 I try to give it it's beauty rest, it never sees YELLOW

and heaven forbid the low fuel light comes on !:danger:

Vape like your the first there/last to leave≈

SO, yesterday I got a gently used Kangertech Protank from a friend of mine (can't beat free!) and went immediately and got a new atomizer head for it. I took it apart, washed it out (it had a nasty tobacco flavor in it, yuck!), placed the new coil head in it after it was dry, filled it with juice, and fired it up. I quickly noticed the wicking issue, lots of burnt hits. So, I loosened up the seal and let the wick breathe a bit, and that helped some. But, I keep having a problem with it. Admittedly, I take huge hits off my vape and run at fairly high power (usually 8 volts/4 watts) on my MVP, but my iCLear 16 handles it like a champ. Am I doing something wrong?

Hey guys,

Just looking for a few opinions on what's best on the MVP, I'm using the iclear 30 that came with it at the moment and after reading a lot of you experienced seem to be using a Protank, I went to my local store to check out prices.
Before I shell out for it I was just wondering if anyone has any comments on iclear 30 vs Protank 2?..

Hi WelshVapour,

well (2) big diff top coil vs bottom coil (hot vs cool vapor)

I don't care for the top coil & warm vape so I won't bother but I hear the i30's are 'fluid hogs'...

now the Protank it's glass, big, heavy, 510 conn, has a big LIGHT AIRY draw
seems to just fit and work very good on the MVP compared to ego threaded devices, IMO
and of course it is a bcc (bottom coil) which I prefer and is cheap , simple...

ask more if you want :)

hey markallmon

a couple things

first off, fill with juice and allow PLENTY of time for wick to get saturated
then start LOW--vape for awhile, see what ya got, break it in (it's not a race)
then start to climb up your scale SLOWLY till you get to a flavor you like (on either V or W)

maybe got your #'s backwards? MVP only goes to 5v--and starts @ 6w

don't worry about power numbers, just get your set up screwed on top
set MVP down low {V or W} and then just gradually start increasing
until your happy with the vape it is producing...

then just VAPE YOUR FACE OFF

The fluid usage with the iclear 30 is probably the biggest thing I've noticed.
A staff member at my store prefers her iclear 30 but did say she has no choice as her Protank 2 won't fire on her MVP, tried it on mine and it did.

You've made a good case for the Protank I think zeppelin, as blown away by the whole MVP kit I've purchased as I am, I do prefer a cool vape.
I suppose I could always purchase it and if it's not entirely to my liking switch back to the Iclear and have the Protank as a back up.

Turning the device off and on again erases the puff counter :)

The iclear30, IMHO, is garbage. Love my PT 2s on it though. Bonus, they are way cheaper in the long run and they don't look like a gaudy hookah. Just my 2 cents.

So, Protank 2 - iclear 30 0..interesting.

The protanks do look better than the iclear I agree.
