The MVP2 works just fine. I've crossed referenced it with my multimeter plenty of times, and it's accurate.

Thanks for the answer about ohm checking.

Dat wrap tho.... I really like it. Kinda makes me want to redesign a Newport box in Photoshop and make it say "Newvape" or something like that haha.

101vape.com has the starter kit with the iclear30 for $39.99!!! What a STEAL! I ordered another just because. Can't believe what I spent on my ego starter kit compared to this. Ah well... Just thought I would pass it on. Looks like they only have black, FYI.

I ordered one.
Merry Christmas to someone~maybe me!
It is almost $5 cheaper than FT.
Love this deal!!

After some more fiddling I'm wondering if its just me, I use 2.4 ohm clearos (top coil) using 50/50 juice and I can never seem to go above the minimum of 3.3 volts, or 6 watts or else I get a burnt taste. I know everyone has a different setup, but I'm wondering if I'm the odd man out on this.

I haven't been able to go past 3.7 volts or 7 watts max on my clearos without it tasting burnt. I use Mini and regular Protank 2's and with a 2.6ohm head I have only been able to go to 7 watts for a few hits before getting a burnt taste... I usually vape them at around 3.5 volts just fine. All 50/50 juices.

I'm not sure if this is a personal taste issue tho. A co-worker used my setup to taste a juice and he was appaled that I only had it set at 3.3v, cranked it up to 4.0v immediately and said it tasted fine. At 4v I think everything tastes burnt no matter if the Ohms are 1.8, 2.0, or 2.5.

Uhhhhhhhhh, email sent... I need this, not WANT, but NEED! I am a serious stealth vapor and don't vape in public because of all of the attitude I get. Everyone thinks that I am using something OTHER than nicotine each time I am questioned about vaping... I guess it's a college town mentality. Anyway, I'm still using cigarettes and when I head out at 7AM to walk the pup it is wall to wall kids racing to buses because a cigarette is ignored while a stinkin 650mAh eGo gets sidelong glances. It'd be a lot easier flashing this 'pack of Marlboros' MVP2 than getting the stink-eye on my hour long walks!

Thanks for posting!! <3

I wasn't in college too long ago and people we actually pretty cool with my PV setup at the time. I had a few people ask the old "Hey can you put X in it?" but for the most part was never bothered. Perhaps I'ma little more polite than most. I tend to not use my PV in stores or other buildings and have even held reservations when using it at concerts.

Thanks for the input. I've come to the conclusion that unless I mix a flavored liquid with mint I really can't crank up the heat. I probably need to get new attys as well, I've run the ones I have through their paces.

I'm not the only one! But I'm starting to wonder if it is personal taste since so many others have no problem at 4v and well beyond.

I am the same way... some of my APVs are set at 3.0 - 4.0 and NEVER over. I think it's all a matter of personal TASTE, not personal preference. My husband can't taste the burned juice and I am like *ack* *choke* are you SERIOUS?!?!?!?!

I just ordered 3 of them. They also have the ProTank Mini for only $10.49.

Now that I ordered them on impulse can a Evod or Mini ProTank fit on it, or do I need a eGo adapter?

Best tip / trick for the MVP is to fix the wobble of the output switch on the bottom, just take a pen and press on the button a little and it sink into the body of the MVP and will be flush with the bottom. Takes about 1-2 minutes and minimal effort. Problem solved.

Does this really work and solve the problem?
