Indeed ! The darker color does wash in to the background a little more but I think that it gives it that stenciled look.
An excellent collaboration.
The text "innokin Army" needs a thin white outline around the letters to make it pop off the background.
So, as I explained last night, my MVP took yet another good drop and then began to self discharge. Not hot but warm and eventually I decided to crack it open and try to save it. I got as far as removing the top and bottom panels and then stopped (note black button
Tonight I managed to push the buttons down and get the bottom to slide out. Now I think I need to disconnect the LED display and charging ports.

I've seen some people mess with putting a DNA20 in their MVPs to replace the stock chip. Something to think about. You'd probably be able to keep the charging board as well.

As you've seen, I got my MVP2, and I am impressed. I have to admit, I do like the vv3 slightly....ever so slightly.....better.
Here's why....
The biggest advantage of the MVP2 is its absolutely insane battery life. 2600 mAh is insane. The only way you are getting longer vape time is to strap a car battery to your back. The capacity of this beast is so large it can charge 3 THREE itaste vv3's. I mean, this thing lasts forever on a charge. What's funny is I could actually charge my vv3's because it doubles as a portable phone/battery charger.
Some might think this is a gimmick, but it's an insanely cool gimmick.
Performance wise, this thing is nearly identical to to the vv3. And it's it's huge capacity that makes it my primary home vape.
It also has absolutely solid construction.
On the "energy" series (with the funky paint job) they've also filed down the output on/off switch so that it is flush with the bottom and the unit now stands up solidly with no wobble. NOTE: They may have done this on the newer "standard" MVP2's as well, but I don't have one to compare.
Now some things that the vv3 does better.
- Comfort. The vv3 is simply more comfortable to use. The size, fire button placement, and easier button throw makes the vv3 a clear winner. When I'm at work, or out and about, the VV3 will always be with me.
- UI. I prefer the way you switch between VV/VW mode on the vv3. There is NO possible way to switch modes inadvertently. On the itaste vv3, you have to hold down the -button and tap the fire button to get in VV mode, or hold down the + button and tap the fiire button to go into VW mode. You then use the + and - keys to adjust the values up or down.
On the MVP 2, however, if you hit the U button for 2 seconds, you are in VV mode. If you hit the P button for 2 seconds, you are in VW mode. When adjusting the values, simply hitting P or U will cycle between variable power and wattage modes. It you switch between VV/VW mode frequently it is definitely easier to switch on the MVP 2. But the problem with this is that you can only adjust the wattage or voltage in one direction. I would much prefer the normal + and - keys on the vv3. I've had to round robin a couple of times and that's a pain... Not a deal breaker, but a pain none the less.
- Fire button. On the vv3, it's easy to look down and see battery health when you fire it off. The MVP has the same feature, but often the way you have to hold it or fire it makes seeing the fire button challenging. Also it's got a stiffer throw. I've noticed a bit of thumb/finger fatigue using this. pbusardo is right on the money regarding this. My aching thumb can attest to this.
If I didn't already own a vv3, I'd say this is the best APV you can buy for the dollar. However, if you can overlook the modest 800 mAh life of the vv3, it is just more portable, comfortable, and easier to use. However, the MVP's huge battery life and device charging features makes the MVP2 the clear Bang for Your Buck winner as it can be had as little as $42.00. Especially when you consider your'e getting an AVP and an external device charger, it's like getting two products in one.
If you can only afford one device, get the MVP2. However, if you have the budget, I'd pick up a vv3 as well. The MVP2 will definitely be used as my primary at home vape and will likely be my out of town vape as well to ensure my phone has a backup power source on those long flights.

I totally agree with the pluses of the vv3 over the MVP. I my case I am at work for 10 hours a day and got tired of having two vv3s with me. One on the USB charger and rotating them to make it through the night. The battery size of the mvp2 lasts me a full day and a half for the win. In my case. Lol
