A word of warning to kayfun/Russian lovers, they're not all alike. I've been happily vaping the Russian for about a month now filling the chamber with cotton up to the top of the build platform. juice doesn't leak out the drip tip and it doesn't flood when bottom filling that way. :2cool:

$21.86 Russian 91% Styled Rebuildable Atomizer (4.5mL) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

The Kayfun came in today and I built it the same way. The result, dry hit city!?!? Remembering a RiP Trippers Kayfun build video I used WAY less cotton and kept it away from the juice channel inlets. It works, but you better keep it upright to avoid flooding! :grr:

$16.59 Kayfun Lite Styled Rebuildable Atomizer (4.5ml) - clear tank section / matte surface at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

I built it with the PMMA kit but doubt that made any difference. From what I can tell the juice channels on the Russian are deeper than the Kayfun. IMO deeper is better. With my 70pg/30vg blend the amount of cotton used and it's placement made all the difference in the world. YMMV.

$5.12 Spare Parts for Kayfun v3.1 Atomizer - PMMA at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

BTW I'm wide open to suggestions for mucking out the juice channels! :)

Sorry I guess I spoke to soon. Rewicked the Russian today putting it back together with the PMMA parts, dry hits. WTH? Tried again with the SS chamber and chimney, dry hits. Finally put it back to original with SS top cap, two SS tank parts and plastic middle, it's back to normal. Guess I'll have to go wander around the Kayfun lite thread...

That was always my experience with my aspire tanks. Wasn't until I got some 2.0 ohm dual coil cartos for my ibtank that I ran into the coil heat issue. The vape store didn't have single coils so the sales girl offered to let me try the 1.2 ohm dual coil cartos. They worked pretty well at first but I was pushing the 3 amp limit running them at 3.6 volts. After a day of running it thats when the extreme throat hit/lack of vapor started. Then all the problems with the aspire coils. My theory is that running at the amp limit may have done some kind of damage even though I never received any error messages. I contacted the seller and I should be able to send this back and get it exchanged. I bought it at the very end of march.

Something else I just thought of....when I originally received my mvp one of the top parts of the numbers on the display was not showing up. So 1.7 looked like 1.1, 1.9 looked like 1.4. I contacted him then and he offered to exchange it for me. I decided not to send it back since the unit was performing so well. Looking back I should have sent it in. This could be totally unrelated though.

I bet you got one with cold solder joints and you running at the max heated it up enough that one of them finally popped..

Yeah too bad I won't have a working mvp when my single coil cartos come in from ibtanked. I have fallen in love with my 19 mm xl tank on the mvp firing at 8 watts on a 2.0 ohm single coil carto. But at least I don't have to buy another unit. And I want to thank everyone for helping me out with this issue.

"Leaking KF"...i have no experience yet with the Russian, but on the Kayfun i do.

the only times i have had any leaking was when my KF was brand new and it slightly leaked on the seam rite above the airhole...and this went away after about a full day of use, i figure the o-rings finally got seated/broke in properly and the problem resolved it'self......now the Kayfun will leak from the drip-tip if the o-ring in the top cap is not seated correctly....one of the indicators of this is leaking of-course but another tell-tale sign is when your taking your top-cap off and the chimney is also unscrewing it'self in the process....the o-ring in the top-cap needs to be inside the hole in the cap not flush but tucked inside a tad....and then no more leaking...now if you over-fill then that's another story....

......@Catdumpling, if an accident happens or if you loose pressure in your Tank and juice leaks into your Device, then it will matter!

I've used a lot of Kanger tanks, so I'm pretty intimate with leaking attys ;). If I feel like I'm getting flooding, it's not a big deal to me to unscrew the atty and make sure it's not leaking onto the connector. If it is, I just take a Q-tip to the 510 connection and fix whatever's wrong with the tank. If there's a serious issue with the Lite Plus, most of the liquid is going to come out the side airflow hole.

Yes.. It shipped from Walnut, CA.. It left the 30th, and I received it on the 2nd.

Ya, $28 is very good. I only got the Nano 'cause it was only $12 more for a kit others were starting at $15 or so for. The Nano kit is also by EHPro and fits very well and includes an extra drip tip, the full nano tank, the short tube, a spare chimney, and 2 spare o-rings. Seems he's running low on the clear one though.

Any case, up to you. Always make sure you are comfortable with the seller. I took a chance :)

I might just go with that seller then. Most of his feedback is actually good (except for two from a year ago), so it seems like a good way to go.

Very strange MVP issue I have been experiencing. This all started last week when I went to the local vape shop and bought some 1.2 ohm dual coil cartos for my ibtank. Anyways to the problem...

I got the carto in and they were working relatively smooth. After a few days of vaping, I started noticing this extreme harsh throat hit. Like the flavor was so intense it would make me cough. Keep in mind that I wasn't getting much vapor either. I could see this result if the vapor was big and heavy. I also bought some 1.6 ohm aspire bdc coils to go into my aspire tanks to tide me over until I got some single coil cartos in the mail. After three of the aspire coils tasting awful and burnt, I decided to give my iclear 30 tank a try. Been sitting in the box since I bought the mvp. Filled it up today and it vaped well for a few hours. After that I started experiencing the same intense/harsh with little vapor production pulls.

Well when I was driving it occured to me that maybe this could be a battery issue. Keep in mind that my mvp is reading everything fine. No error messages whatsoever. So I try my iclear 30 tank and aspire tanks on some of my old ego c batteries and its like a whole different experience. Vaping is smooth like I remember it. None of the issues I was having when using the mvp the past few days.

So my question to mvp owners is what could this be? Anyone else experience anything like this? Its almost as if when it fires something is happening internally and not pushing the right power. Also when using the 1.2 ohm cartos, I was pushing the 3 amp limit the entire time since they are dual coil. Could that have of harmed my mvp? Either way I'm pretty upset. This whole time I was ranting about how bad the aspire coils are (I kept getting this awful burnt taste) and I never thought it could be a battery issue. Looks like I'm back to using my ego sticks for the time being until I can get the mvp issue sorted out. I have also cleaned out the connection are with q tips, alcohol, and water. Seemed to help maybe a little but I'm still experinecing these horrible burnt hits with the aspire 1.6 ohm bdc tank and the heavy/harsh/little vapor hits on the carto tank and i clear 30.

Don't forget with Aspire BDC tanks, when you load one for the first time or change coils, you have to let it sit for about 30 minutes before vaping and let the juice soak into it, otherwise you can burn up the coil and it will always taste burnt.

Puff count is now showing 0 since I cycled it on/off again but on a 1.6 ohm coil it shows voltage set at 3.6 volts. When I switch over to watts it shows 7.5. It has yet to change from what I set it at.

The volt setting and wattage setting display will not change from what you have set it to. Try watts at 6.The voltage will automatically adjust to the coil ohm. but will not change on the display. You either set volts or watts. I usually have mine and I have two mvp's set att 6 watts and don't worry about volts. Is that clear as mud LOL I think I confused myself .
I am running 1.4 ohm coils at 6 watts great taste and vapor. :2c:

Or maybe coil to close to airflow hole?

I'm obviously new to vaping, started w/ spinner & wanted more. So w/ MVP2 set @ 3.7 ish & go from there. Most ppl say change this & power will change by itself, is this correct cuz I haven't noticed it change much? Do most of u [I know it's preference] but change v or w? Also, if I got 2.5 ohm coil I can go higher vs a 1.5 correct? Ty all, so far much.. Much doesn't describe it... Night & day vs spinner!

Hi Myah, and welcome to the club! :)

When you say that you have your MVP set at 3.7ish, that tells me you are operating under your voltage setting. It is true that changing this will change the "power" that is achieved through your coil, but you may not have asked the right question. The biggest difference between your Spinner and the the MVP, aside from form-factor, is the fact that the MVP is also a variable wattage device. In voltage mode, it operates exactly as your spinner. However, in wattage mode (using the P button), what happens is that the device will read the resistance of your coil and set the voltage automatically to approximate the power setting you have entered. In theory, this allows you to maintain a consistent vape across different coils with multiple resistances.

Does this help?

I think the Igo-L and the MVP are a marriage made in heaven. Enjoy! :)

It really is just a nice simple and dependable plug and play device topped with a no nonsense easy to build cloud maker. For some one just getting in to it all it is one of the best rigs a person could invest in. I sometimes wish it would crank more voltage (V 3?) but you really don't need to sub ohm to get a supper vape out of this rig. I keep one set up all the time.

Sadly my MVP won't charge today, this is the 2nd Innokin product that's lasted 6 months max.
How long are these things generally lasting for everyone else, I'm going right off Innokin to be honest.
If this is fixable please let me know. :)

Lots of previous talk on maximizing battery life on the MVP's , seems regularly charging it when it hits around 3.7 volts and taking it off the charger when it hits around 4.1 volts can double the MVP's lifespan.

Many have theirs still pumping out huge clouds a year later .

Tried 3 chargers, different sockets, different USB's. The chargers are fine, just wondered if anyone else has had this problem and how long the devices are actually lasting before kicking it.
The itaste v 3.0 didn't even last 6 months so if that's how long they're generally lasting then fine, wouldn't buy any more.

For $25.00 i think 6 months is a great deal if that is how long it lasted , 101vape sells them for $25.00.

Yeah I've always primed them with multiple drops then let them sit for 5-10 minutes. Not the 30 but I've never had problems before until recently.

Yeah maybe I didn't type that right. Yes the display is showing what it is supposed to show. Just doesn't seem to be firing what it shows it is supposed to be firing. Always ran my tanks before at 7.5-8 watts and never had issues until the past few days. Shipping my mvp off today to get it exchanged. Glad I still have my ego back ups.

Even though I have been a member since March 2013, I did not quit stinkies or vape full time until the end of January 2014. I am still learning and helping as many people as I can to get off the analogs. Gave a women my MVP to try at lunch after she asked a bunch of questions. Put a clean DT on it and I think I converted her. She looked so surprised at the clouds the Kayfun produced for her. Gave her the 101vapes site and told her what to order and told her I would show her how to rebuild if she gets into it.

Helping is soooo much fun and satisfying :D
