I've been laying in NIC since 2012 .. at my age, based on my consumption, I have enough to last till I'm 138 .. I don't care if I have to use it unflavored .. all I ever vape is tobacco or menthol flavor anyway ..

Early bottles of NIC stored in my freezer, in blue glass bottles that hold 120ml each, wrapped in foil and placed in a sock, are as fresh as the day I bought them .. PG / VG are going nowhere ..

What I don't understand is, on a Forum devoted to vaping, when all the news pops out tout suite, why any of this is a surprise and why anyone would have been caught off guard .. the writing has been on the wall for some time ..

I started vaping in 2017. DIY was around June 2018 so my stockpile of nicotine isn't massive.

Stols001 mentioned she didn't know how good her stock pile would be after decades so I asked what I asked.

As for my plan, everyone has their own opinion and companies say what they say. I have a very strong scientific/problem solving/engineer aspect to my mind so I looked to the constants and what I know about manipulating them. I need to pick up a dedicated freezer regardless because I don't have the room for the couple gallons I'm going to be picking up. A small chest freezer seems ideal for me because it kills two birds with one stone.

As for beyond those gallons, I'm not worried. Partially because I'd be roughly 70 by then and partially because I've done nicotine extraction back in my 20's.

I know it's been said before by others, but technically "tobacco" and "menthol" are flavors. For example, where does RY4 fit into this? Only NETs are really tobacco flavors. How does this work in lawyer speak? Good thing I DIY.
I also want to know of course what exactly they're going to call this or how the wording is going to be are they going to put in verbiage that requires the addition of tobacco flavoring however they want to Define that or they going to word it as any flavored e-juice must be tobacco or menthol it's a huge difference and I'm not even certain that they're aware of any of this they're just too busy with the blinders on trying to get people smoking in their puritanical Freak Show. I imagine that they're going to follow that one state that basically said that it had to be an alkaloid from tobacco however does Menthol have alkaloids I don't even know. And let's say they do demand that tobacco flavor be added how are they going to regulate that how are they going to measure that.... I don't think they even know I'm going to be optimistic and assume that this is only going to be applied to flavors added.. that if you're going to add a flavor it must be in some way characterized as Menthol or tobacco otherwise you cannot out of flavor but I can see them Banning unflavored and if they don't do that immediately will do it soon. Most of the states that had a flavor ban did allow for unflavored Vape juice but again I don't think they understand what unflavored vape juice tastes like I really truly believe these people think it tastes like a cigarette

I get 100 VG nic and I store it in glass, in the food freezer. I don't really fret about like, temperatures because I can't like freezer burn all of our meat (it's the house freezer.

I said I didn't KNOW for certain but I feel reasonably confident it will be fine. No one knows..@Rossum probably knows the most.

My husband so tired of hearing about this so I guess I'll spout off here. I'm also curious about whether it's going to be an immediate executive order style ban since executive orders are now the in the big thing in politics which excepting certain emergency situations is really a totalitarian dictator thing to do... or if it's going to follow the normal course of these sort of things and have a delay or a start date. And then I'm also curious assuming that politicians generally know what's going on and big tobacco is directing a lot of this why are they talking about or passing in the house or passing in committee I'm not sure which one a proposition to tax the living hell out of liquid nicotine if they're going to ban flavorless so that gives me some optimism. I mean I do have some nicotine but do I have enough for my life well I kind of hope not because that would have my death coming within the next 10 years. Oh and just a note on the tax on liquid nicotine unlike what they do with cigarettes which is they tax it based on the absorption they're going to be taxing it by volume but I believe recently another one of these tax things has been changed in a different state so who the hell knows literally no one and that is the most frustrating aspect about all of this

I think they're working off the Juul/Vuse cartridge idea of tobacco, menthol, and then whatever flavors they name things like Mango. I know they hate the e juice that looks like and is named after fruit loops or the juice bottle that looked like a can of Redi Whip. So the cartridge stuff will be "easy" but how they expect to control "tobacco flavored" juice outside is unclear I believe to everyone. I mean, some of us started with Halo's Tribeca as out first "tobacco" like e juice, so is that a tobacco or not?

Also does anyone want to bet how long it takes the politicians after the deeming regulations and after the next tobacco use survey to say see we told you that e-cigarettes led to cigarette use nevermind that we made the E-Cigarettes nearly impossible to get or enjoy that couldn't be why people are smoking more now it's because e-cigarettes made people start smoking even though they were smoking before the E-Cigarettes...

Like I said, there are numerous Threads going back years on ECF as it relates to NIC storage .. here is a link to just one Thread that should help you out .. @Kurt was kinda the expert back in the day .. don't know if he's still around .. there are links within the Thread as well ..

Bottle help with freezing nic juice

At any rate, if you are versed in NIC extraction, hey, you can probably make some coin with that ..

Personally, I think the life expectancy discounting some slight degree of degradation using the freezing technique is far longer than many of us might expect ..

I am now going to have myself Cryogenically Preserved ..

Flavorings for DIY wont come off the market they are used for food which for the most part was thier intended use.

FLavor Art however might well become a you have to order it from italy thing. They have said a US flavor ban would likely cause them to close their North American plant.

Question, how long can flavorings be stored in dark cabinet? Can they be stored in the freezer?, and if so, anyone have any idea how long they'll hold their potency? I use strictly Flavor Art tobacco and am thinking ahead. Rather than ordering directly from Italy (and possibly dealing with customs and the possibility of them taking it away), I'd prefer to stock pile now. tia

I don't vape tobacco flavors so I can't say specifically on those. I can say I have a bottle of FA Red Touch Strawberry that is 2 years old and is just fine.

I don't think anyone knows the answer to this one, sadly. A) all manufacturers are different and b) unless you get a born on date (which often you don't) you don't know how old the flavor is to start with.

I refrigerate mine but I will say I live in a place where the temps can get high. Honestly, I have noticed no issues other than I need to make sure condensation does not happen as it will eat at my labels.

I would say if you have a FEW ALL TIME favorites it may be worth your time or money or both to find out but I personally wouldn't try it for more than about 20 flavors, myself.

I am thankful for Chefs and I know my flavor options may become more limited but I think they will be there.

Like I said though, no one can really give you this answer. No one has done it. Flavors can last quite a while however, even just at room temp.

Dropped $300 yesterday on a lifetime supply of preferred flavors as that's how I read the tea leaves.

The prissy puritans Trump and Azar can kiss my .... I will vote for Bernie Sanders

Edit: Damn, almost forgot to order some Boba's Bounty.
Might want to find out where Sanders stands on the issue first.
