I just went through this "only thing left is to send us your legal ID" stuff with Naturally Extracted Tobaccos. I gave them the only 2 addresses that the DH and I have had for the past 12yrs. Nope, send us your ID -- NOPE not happening. In the meantime I had already placed an order with a preferred vendor here for ejuice and 2 eleaf basic kits that went straight through & already have my product. Don't understand at 55yrs old how my "information didn't sync up." Outdated software perhaps?

Just had a similar experience as you, BBG, when placing my first order with Eciggity (Hawaii). I scanned my D/L then blacked out the license number, and they were happy with that. Figure they already had my name and address. (Might even have been ok if I'd blacked out the address as well...) I'm surely NOT going to give them d/l number, or SocSec number! But "official" ID with name and age - everything else blacked out - should be sufficient.

Ordered recently from EightVape (in Las Vegas). A new vendor for me--they had a sale for something I wanted. No problems whatsoever with placing my order. Also ordered from Aroma--same thing. Smooth and painless.

If those two are already on the list, I apologize.

Hey Kat! Good to see ya. :)

EightVape is on the list (apology excepted ;)). Would Aroma be Aromaejuice? They are not on the list yet.

Thank you. Aromaejuice has been added to the list.

You may not have posted a vendor before but I know you are a follower of this thread. You've contributed by passing the word. I thank you for that. :)

This thread is a life saver. Really! :D

And I do believe that at least some vendors are paying attention and making this onerous process of age verification as easy as possible for us, so we are all in your debt forever!

And why it doesn't hurt to check in with their current procedures. :thumb:

One vendor I did business with for almost three years has lost a lot
of customers because of their age verification process, including me.
Yesterday I was reading comments and reviews from former customers
on their FB page, stating they won't give their SS# or DL# or send in
a selfie with their license ever, and they've moved on. The company
just gives flimsy excuses about the FDA and regs. I wish they'd pay
attn but sales may or may not be falling. They have changed course
a bit since I did business with them so maybe they don't care.

I have been buying from Mt Baker for awhile but they started using bluecheck so I want to switch vendors. Which of the vendors on the AV list have good reps and are popular among forum members? I think Veratad AV would be ok, just no bluecheck. It would also be great to find a place with pricing similar to Mt Baker (i.e. cheap ;). Thanks!

MBV.

A few days ago I got nostalgic and placed an order with HHV, which is veratad. I have placed
orders with several other companies using veratad that easily verified me online and no
action was needed on my part. However first thing in the morning after placing my order
HHV emailed saying they couldn't verify me and I needed to send a copy of my DL. I
replied that no other place has had this problem and they resorted to .. 'It's not us
it's those FDA rules remember.' I just cancelled the order. Probably not a big deal
however I have yet to submit any copy of a DL to anyone for an order, and I don't
need the order anyhow, LOL.

[There seem to be more and more non-US posters...(especially Canadian...where shipping from US sites is high)...around ECF these days.]

Unfortunately, most shopping cart software doesn't make a distinction in distance when the address is flagged as an International address. As a result, the company has to set a "one size fits all" price and while some are perfectly reasonable about International shipping, some are blatantly ripping customers off. I came across one site a few years ago that uses a third party shipping company and they wanted 50 bucks to ship a small 2 dollar e-cig part to Canada that could fit in an envelope.

Same with "Priority" shipping. Lot of companies are reasonable about it, but there are those that are making some serious bucks off the option, even when shipping "in country".

Like David said, more info would be helpful. My goto vendor is Eciggity. Fair prices and fast, reasonable shipping plus excellent customer service.

Edit: For flavoring, Ecigexpress for the same reasons as above. ;)
